Chapter 3

Aria’s POV

“Since you want to know badly when we started our affair well, it all started on our wedding night.” My eyes wide in horror as Caleb spoke. “Yes…our wedding night. Remember I didn’t stay for the night and told you I had to run some errands for your father, well that was the first night we got together.”

He look to Susan who giggled in his arms.

“Yes, Aria. Just what he said. That night was a blessing. I felt like it should never end.” Susan jab her mouth with each word coming out and adding to the injury I feel in my heart. “I was the first to taste your man before he even tested you.”

“What?” I cover my mouth, falling back to the table in the kitchen. I don’t think I could stand this anymore or stand anywhere near them. I wanted to be out of here, right this instant. “Tell me this isn’t true.” I looked at Caleb who stood confidently, not bothered that he did the worst thing a living being would do.

“Well, it’s not my fault.” He shrug his shoulder. “You’re the one who always had a complaint when we want to have sex. And for a matter of fact, I’m the man here and I have the right to cheat or sleep with whomever I want to sleep with.”

“Stopp…” Susan playfully push his chest and laughed. “Don’t get ahead of yourself. If you tell her all this now, who knows if she might be recording? I don’t want her father to know about this.”

My eyes wide as it dawned on me that she still feared my father and what he would do to her if he discovered that she had been sleeping with my husband.

I clear my chest by taking in a deep breath. After, I wiped off the tears on my face and forced a smile on my lips.

“It’s okay, I forgive you,” I say and they both exchanged worried glances. “I mean it. I’m not angry anymore. I’m just happy that you both admitted the truth and since I don’t have a say in it, I’d just let you guys be. I mean, he’s the father of my son, would you want me to divorce him because of a silly mistake? Every man cheats.”

“Silly mistake?” Caleb burst into laughter, clapping his hands together. The sound of his hands slamming each other made me jolt. “I did what I did, there was no mistake.” The sound of his voice took a different tone. He closed the gap between us and I retreated in my steps, my heart pounding hard in my chest.

My back relax on the kitchen table, leaving me in between his hands resting on the table and restricting me from escaping.

“I know you, Aria. You’re a very smart woman, but now that you’ve discovered our affair, there’s no way we’re going to let you leave.” I couldn’t look into his eyes, not when he cheated on me. I look another way, holding my breath as my body started to quiver in fear.

“Please, Caleb, for our son? Don’t do this.” I plead but he just smirk.

“Okay, if you say so, I’d let you leave.” He raise his hands in defense and immediately I want to make my escape out of the room. I move swiftly away from him and start to head for the entrance but before I could exit, Susan block me.

“No, no, no, not so fast.” She stood in front of me.

“What are you doing?” I ask, looking from her back at Caleb who was behind me. “Get out of my way! I forgive you both.”

“But I don’t.” Before I know it, Susan punch me in the stomach, knocking my womb off balance. I feel the rush of pain run up to my heart and it felt like my heart twisted. I fell back to the floor.

“I haven’t forgiven you for dragging me by my hair and throwing me in such a rude manner.” She yell into my face, as I whimper on the ground, my legs weak and thick black blood flowing from between my legs.
