Samantha stood on the terrace, her silhouette framed against the moonlight, a faint, triumphant smile tugging at her lips as she watched the guards approaching. Their hurried footsteps and bowed heads signaled respect—and fear. She reveled in it, savoring the moment of authority she’d long coveted. Becoming "Luna" held a power she’d only dreamed of, and now it was almost within her grasp.

The first guard stepped forward, lowering his gaze as he spoke. “Mission accomplished, Luna. She fell off the cliff after I struck her with my blade.” His voice was steady, yet his eyes held a flicker of uncertainty, as if haunted by the memory of Lilian's final moments.

Samantha’s smile widened, though her face remained impassive. “Good,” she replied, her voice as smooth as silk but laced with an edge that silenced any further questions. “Make sure this stays between us. Do you get it?"

“Yes, Luna,” the guards responded in unison, casting one last nervous glance before retreating into the shadows.

Morgan paced back and forth across his dimly lit room, his steps heavy and his thoughts tangled with regret. The scent of leather and old books surrounded him, but his focus was elsewhere—on Lilian and the guilt gnawing at him. “What have I done?” he whispered, as he closed his eyes while leaning on the couch. After a while. he grabbed a bottle of wine and chugged it in one go. He was hoping it would dull the ache in his chest. But the drink only seemed to deepen his regret. As he stared into the crimson liquid, memories of Lilian flooded his mind. That night when he kissed her and took her innocence. He shut his eyes, and for a moment, he could see her being dragged out by the guards. She had looked so small, so vulnerable, and he had turned his back on her. A sharp pang of regret twisted inside him, stronger than before. He ran a hand through his hair, gripping the glass tighter, almost to the point of breaking it.“I was a fool,” he muttered under his breath, feeling the weight

Early in the morning, before the first light of dawn began to break through the dense canopy surrounding the villa, Morgan stood at the balcony, shrouded in the cool mist that blanketed the grounds. He had barely slept. Guilt and regrets kept haunting his mind and heart which made him uneasy in each passing moment. Morgan called his most trusted Gamma guards, whose loyalty and devotion had been tested and proven over the years. They approached him quickly, their head bowed in respect. Their expressions were tinged with curiosity as it was not often for their Alpha to call on them especially at early hours except for very important matters. "Alpha, we are always here to serve you. Whatever your command, we will carry it with utmost dedication." “I want you to go to the forest,” he said, his voice low but firm. "Look for Lilian. She’s somewhere out there, and I need to know she’s... that she’s safe." The Gammas were caught off guard as they exchanged glances with one another. It

Morgan and Samantha's wedding was finally set, and the entire pack bustled with anticipation. Servants walked across the corridors carrying trays laden with flowers, linens, and ceremonial items. The scent of fresh wildflowers and herbs filled the air, mingling with the faint, musky tang of pine from the surrounding woods. Banners and lights were being strung around the grounds, and the halls were alive with laughter and chatter as everyone hurried to perfect every detail for the Alpha's wedding tomorrow. Yet, amidst the busy preparations, Morgan was alone in his chamber, a weight pressing heavily on his chest. He sat by the window, his gaze fixed on the horizon as if hoping to see the return of a familiar figure. It had been a month since Lilian vanished from his life, but every moment felt like yesterday. Her absence left a hollow ache in his heart, one that gnawed at him, keeping him awake at night and distracted by day. No matter how hard he tried, her memory lingered like a ghos

Immediately after the wedding ceremony, the festivities continued in the villa's grand reception hall. Samantha basked in the flood of well-wishes and congratulations, while Morgan silently endured the pain within. Nearly everyone celebrated his marriage with joy, but a few were burdened with sadness—Aurora, himself, and his best friend Declan. "Alpha, are you alright?" Declan asked, with much concern in his voice. Morgan heaved a deep sigh as he poured some wine into his glass. He felt his heart was aching. No matter how much he tried to hide his feelings he could not hold back any longer, and before he could stop himself, tears began to form at the corner of his eyes. He was not used to showing his vulnerability in front of anyone, not even to his best friend Declan. But this time, it seemed he was losing his strength. Declan patted Morgan's shoulder in a gesture of comfort. It was the first time he'd ever seen his Alpha in tears, and he believed that Morgan was deeply hurt for lo

It had been two months since he was married to Samantha, yet he could still feel his deep longing for his forsaken mate. But as the Alpha, he could not neglect his responsibilities although he felt so heavy with each passing day. One night, he was drinking alone in his room. Why did you not call Declan and Argos to join you?" Samantha's voice sounded like she was concerned.Morgan did not respond, he just continued sipping the wine in his glass,Would you mind if I joined you?" Samantha asked with amusement in her eyes. After that Inaugural Party, Aron kept thinking of that woman, whom they called Denise. He could not understand the strange feeling that surged through him when he looked into her eyes. It seemed like he had known her in the past. Her scent, her eyes, and her gestures were familiar to him but he could not remember anything. He could not quite explain why his heart raced when their eyes met. And when he met her son at school, he felt inexplicable joy that he wanted to hug the child."You seem so bothered, honey," his wife Laura spoke while hugging his back. "What are you thinking, hmm?""Nothing honey," he lied. Of course, he could not tell his wife about the strange feelings he had for Denise. He could not bear to hurt the woman, who had only shown him love and care."Let's get back to sleep, honey," he said, gently guiding her head onto his arm. After some time, Laura had already fallen asleep while he was still wide awake. Aron looked at his wife, his gaze drawn to her. So many ques

Wanting to find out the truth, Denise looked for a private investigator to delve into Aron's background. She was sure that the man was connected to both Morgan and the Blue Moon Pack, perhaps, one of his beta, she thought. Although there was a familiarity with his scent, still it was hard for her to believe that it was Morgan. It was impossible for a powerful Alpha to leave his pack just to be here in Silverstone. They just resembled each other and nothing more than that."Hey, are you okay?" William asked, his voice filled with sincerity and concern."Yes, I'm fine, William," she smiled, focusing on the business proposals laid out before them. But no matter how much she wanted to set aside the thought about Aron, the more it lingered in her mind. She just hoped his private investigator would not take too long to provide her with the information she needed to know."Oh, it's almost four, it's time to pick up my son at school," Denise said as she stood up and grabbed her pouch.
