ELYSIA'S POV

The piercing and nerve-wracking headache I felt woke me up from my sleep the next morning, I forcefully propped myself up to lean on the bedrest, and only then did I notice the few droplets of tears on my cheeks which drew me back to the events of the previous night. I had cried myself to sleep after the Alpha walked out on me angrily when he found out I went to Serafina. I had wanted to go after him, but he seemed too angry and I thought it would be risky to go after him in that state so I just stayed back in my room and cried myself to sleep.

But it didn't come without a price because my head was pounding excruciatingly and my eyes hurt like crazy from crying too much.

I ran my palm over my face to get rid of the almost dried tears that were stuck on my chin before I got off the bed to go find the Alpha.

The atmosphere in the palace was solemn, I felt it just as soon as I opened the door to my room and stepped outside into the hallway.
