ELYSIA'S POV

His revelation stirred up panic inside me and caused my heart to sink, but I knew I shouldn't let him notice because he looked worried and worn out. I didn't want to add to his worries by appearing scared in front of him.

I simply put my arms around his stiff body and caressed his shoulder with my palm.

"I believe all of these will end soon, we will figure out a solution to it in no time," I whispered to him even though I doubted my own words too.

My words did not seem to pacify him because he kept sitting there limply, staring into space and not saying a word to me.

"You shouldn't have this on your body for too long." I finally added and helped him get to his feet.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" I managed to ask him as we walked to the room together.

He shook his head. "It's just that everything is starting to get too overwhelming for me and I'm finding it difficult to handle." He complained.
