Chapter Ninety-five: BATTLE ME

"Do I really have to train with Dane?" I felt my cheeks heat up.

Call it awkward. Super awkward, that was the feeling inside of me and the only thought in my head.

"Stop being a whiny ass and get through this drill." Matt snapped his fingers before my eyes, "Dane's cool if you choose not to stir things up."

"Stir things up?" What the hell was he talking about?

I watched as he descended the stairs in utter confusion.

I got down all set for this training in spandex leggings and a sports shirt.

Evelyn looked away from what Darlene was saying to her. She came my way and linked our arms, "I'll come to watch you train."

That would make things less awkward. I was grateful she offered to ease the tension. I nodded with a smile leading her towards the back exit door.

"Your mom and my dad were lovers," she smiled a bit cheekily, "They had a whole lot of history that I'm going to tell you later."
