Chapter 5: I WISH YOU A PLEASANT DAY

"I wish you a pleasant descent to hell. I wish I had become a better person who will..." Suddenly Zoe shook her head and sat straight like a stick. "What an awful dream!" She screamed as she got up from her dream

It was raining and the night was setting out. The car got wet out by the rain and Shen Zi had on the heater to keep everyone warm. 

"I dreamed again of that trash," Zoe murmured angrily 

"Sleeping again in the car?" Amy looked at him and frowned; "I'm really tired please excuse me I need to take a nap sometimes,"

She turned for a second nap and didn't notice where they were going.  

"It makes a while that you are dreaming a little bit strangely these days," Shen said as he looked through the window panel and saw his wife sleeping

She looked cute and smiled at him. 

"Yeah! It's that illness I think you are talking about." She said with her eyes close and smiling

"Why do I dream so badly?" she asked 

"Don't mind, it will be fine. Just rest and it will disappear like sand blowing in the wind." He comforted her with a relaxed expression

"I hope!"

Kennedy Dressing...

The shop in which they were, looked trendy. It had catchy lights which were charming and many types of dresses in detail similar to a night shop. 

"Wow! What a gorgeous place you brought me in."

She did not felt sad anymore and got curious about the reason for her presence in the shop. Shen had to bring her home but instead brought her here. 

"I think Shen Zi is right and I have to consider that scum as my past and let him go like sand blowing in the wind." Shen gazed at her and nodded. 

"Right! I love seeing you happy," 

"Oh come on Shen Zi, Why did you bring me here?" she asked determined to find out what her hubby was planning

"Go to the trying room and come back dressed with the surprise I specially prepared for you. But... Do not worry I reserved everything." He was not willing to let the cat out of the bag and Zoe quickly noticed that. 

"Oh! I hope you will not regret it." He said 

A woman taking care of the shop recognized Shen and took Zoe to the changing room. "Mrs. Shen please this way. It is a really beautiful choice your husband took and you cannot be deceived." She went with the woman but despised Shen in her head.

"Okay, I will go find the secret myself, you cat!" she said as she turned her head

3 minutes later...

As Lin Zoe walked off from the trying room, Shen Zi who was gazing immediately blushed and felt like he saw a star passing. He was red from all his face and could not contempt his joy. 

"How do you think I am?" she asked as she gazed at the dress

Lin Zoe was wearing a gleaming light turquoise robe, inlaid with fine embroidery. It was tight and slim, covered with pearls, and had light sleeves. Her earrings were diamond and turquoise and she wore a pair of short heels with turquoise color which had small bow ties on their front.

"You're so perfect! I really did well taking these dresses." Shen said as he continuously gazed at her

She laughed as she saw her husband watching her like a dog preying on a bone.

"Thank you!" Zoe said joyfully

"Where are my manners? Please, may I invite you to come in my car?" Shen said elegantly

"What a gentleman. Of course, it will be a pleasure, and stop teasing me." 

Flashlights*...

The Diamond Palace Platinum was introduced with lights and many cars were parked beside it. It was a special day today and many people were invited. 

Diamond Palace Platinum...

"Welcome, Mr. Shen!" The secretary of the hotel said as he went specially to greet them

The secretary Lu Jin, is the right-wing of Shen and always follows him in his works. He is especially trusted by him and looks if the nephew is not doing any mistake. He waited patiently for him to come and had quite a sympathetic and smart appearance. 

"Thank you! Is my nephew running well the hotel?" 

"Yes, Mr! Everything is running out well here." The secretary said 

"So, he's a businessman and entrepreneur." Zoe thought

"Come on let's go in. Give me your hand!"

Zoe held the arm of Shen and they entered the garden which was leading to the hotel. It had small stairs which they shortly climbed in a few minutes. At the gardens of the hotel could be seen lights, statues, and shrubs cut finely into statues like rabbits, heads, and hats. A parking lot was just beside them and the hotel was gigantic.

"Wow! This place is well managed and looks like a five-star hotel." She said

"It's an international hotel and is six stars, globally recognized." He said in a firm tone

"Stop exaggerating, I know you are too good at it," Zoe blushed red and looked away. A woman came and greeted them. People always admired them as they came but it was usual since Shen was the CEO.

The woman had an elegant average appearance and had heavy makeup.

"Hi, Mr. Shen! Who did you bring with you?"

"My wife!" he responded

"Wow, I heard it in the news sorry for not coming." She said

He looked at her with dull eyes, "You weren't even invited." The woman turned to Zoe who was being calm. "I hope it does not trouble you miss Shen. Does it?" 

"It doesn't why? no problem," she said feeling awkward.

The woman was leaving and heading to the meeting with the crowd after talking for a while with them.

"You did not tell me it will be a whole party." She said surprised

"Yes! You can be angry at me for that." 

"Yes, I have! I will have put on my best gown." 

She had always been competitive as always and never loved being less better than others. As a model in her original life, she had always been setting up to be better than all the other models. 

"We are not in a competition"! He said feeling a little bit awkward

"But we are!" To get her attention he pointed at a crowd of distinguished persons passing by. "Look! Those are the guests of the party," She nodded and responded enthusiastly, "We can go and meet them."

"How do you know I needed some company?" She asked surprised

"Just my intuition!"

A man well-dressed, appeared and greeted them formally. "Good evening, Mr. and Ms." Shen didn't get the time to talk with him and turned to Zoe. "I will leave and fetch some drinks and food. You can discuss with the guests."

"Ok!" she responded

In the hall where many guests who all looked 

"Hi! You're the wife of Mr. Shen?" The man asked

"I am really glad to see you. Mr. Shen never showed how is his wife. You're really pretty!" He said in a flatter tone

"Oh! Thank you, that's cute."

"Congratulations too! Mr. Shen is really someone good, hope he will treat you well." 

"Zoe!" A woman came to greet Zoe

"Ah, Mom. How are you?" she said feeling both happy and awkward

"Good, daughter! You are wearing a pretty dress." She admired her radiance and her prettiness. 

"Thank you! It's Shen Zi who gave them to me." 

"I can't imagine that even my mom came and why Shen Zi couldn't have told me there was a party?" she said nervously

"There are just so many people who came because of Shen Zi. I think it's because of his fame." Her mom said

"He is also well educated and cultivated," Zoe added

"Hey! I brought some food and drinks." Shen Zi came back holding a tray of food and two drinks

"I was starving. I am enlightened tonight."

"Mom! How are you? You and Zoe are no different." He said

"I got some folks who are talking about travels and experiences from India. Got to go!" Zoe's mom said excited and joyful from the success of the party

As her mother left, she blushed and dazed shyly at Shen Zi. "Now, it's just both of us." Shen Zi nodded then left quickly as possible, "And it will just be you alone now."

"Just like this? What a player!" 

"Please, We are here all today to welcome the manager of this hotel, Brandon." the secretary said

"Thank you, everyone, for coming you are the best." 

Clapping sounds*... "Now let's enter the center of all these business enterprises, Mr. Shen Zi."

As Shen Zi entered the people clapped again admiring his gestures and good look.

"Thank you! I've come here tonight first to thank everyone for coming here, It's a real pleasure. I have been pleased by all that you did and all your support. It is very important to me."

"The next thing is for those who don't know her, I want to present to my wife Miss Lin Zoe. Please come to the platform with us." He said waving at her

"Me?" 

"I'm so scared of talking since childhood I'm like that. Just swallow up with your stomach and breathe." She thought

Even though she was famous, Alya always had problems talking in front of the public. She even made speeches from the screen just to avoid talking in front of multiple crowds. But tonight, she doesn't want anyone to be suspicious she's Alya even though it will be hard to find out.

"Hello! Everyone can you feel it, I'm also very happy to see guys here tonight." She said a little bit scared

"She's a model who is running to success and will be at the top rank of models one day. I give her all my support and I want you all to know that she is very important to me and I'm proving it here tonight." Shen Zi said

"You can continue with the party."

"Lin, this is my nephew! Brandon," he said as he brought her to him

Shen's nephew was just sitting on a sofa enjoying a coffee. When he saw them, he rose to greet them formally. "Brandon this is your aunt, Lin Zoe." She smiled at him and nodded, 

"You can call me Aunt Lin." 

Shen Zi's nephew was a young man who was aged 21. It's very young for a manager but as a child, he was very smart and open to versatile opportunities.

"Welcome! Uncle Shen always talked about you."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, auntie."

"Me too" Zoe responded

As she prepared to ask and discuss about the hotel and his life, she suddenly got a pain from her ankles. Itwas her high heels which made them sore. 

"Ow! my legs hurt," she said

"Come and sit here for a while. Let me massage your legs," Shen said hurriedly rushing to Zoe

"How do you know to massage?" 

"I learned physiotherapy for a while when my brother, got a leg injury," she looked at how Shen Zi massaged her legs and felt how the pain reduced. 

"That must have been cool! And interesting..."

As he finished massaging her legs, Zoe felt comfortable and didn't felt an inch of pain.

"Oh my god! I feel like I'm in heaven," she exclaimed

"Thanks!"

"Can we get home? I Am really exhausted!"

"Ok! I think you are too sober for today." Shen said taking the keys to his car

"Wait! what about Mom?" 

"She has her personal driver. Don't worry about her she has many ways to occupy herself. Take my jacket, you're freezing."

Shen started the engine and they left the hotel, driving in the dark sky. "Thank you so much!" Zoe couldn't stop thanking him and felt silly. 

"You're welcome!" He warmly replied

When they arrived at home it was lately 11 pm and no car was out this time. The car was parked in the garage and Zoe was sleeping on the back seat drained. 

"You need to sleep, I will get you to bed." Shen Zi said

"I just needed some company for today and you gave me plenty of good persons to talk to."

"I will always take care of you," he assured her in a firm tone

She was sleepy and only gave a direct answer. "I know that. I know that!"

Shen Zi walked through the stairs and opened the door to the main room. He placed the sleepy girl on the bed and covered her body. As he walked silently to avoid waking her up, he undressed and directly went to the bathroom.

The water of the bathroom sang in Zoe's ears and she slept thinking about the day. Shen Zi had never stopped keeping an eye on her and was always taking good care of her. No one ever treated her that lovely.

Her love for him grew more and more day by day. 

"Ahh!" she gasped 

"We just met fortunately and I'm granted a new chance to live again my life and profit from the hard work I always went through?" 

"I couldn't dream of anything else." 

"I never married before and I always tried to approach myself to men."

"Shen Zi is so kind and everyone loves him. He always leads and shows the way to others with his positive attitude, even to me. I am blessed to have found him." she thought clenching herself to him and letting out a single tear from her face

"I wish you a pleasant day, Shen Zi!"...
