As I waited for James to return with Sabrina, I paced around, my mind filled with different thoughts. What if Sabrina is guilty? What if this woman was lying? It was a total tug of war.

Being betrayed by one of my best friends would definitely hurt, but not as much as being betrayed by my wife, the person I had at a point in time trusted the most in this world despite knowing her for only a few weeks. The person I had given my whole body to, baring my heart and soul.

I hadn't even properly allowed myself to grieve; what I did was channel my pain and hurt to hatred towards her. Only her death will pacify me, I believed, and I was at a point of no return. If she actually killed my brother, then she must die too.

Sounds of measured footsteps reached me. They were here. I paused and fixed my eyes on the door, waiting for them to walk through it.
