Chapter 38

Athena

I decided to get some fresh air in the garden as I was feeling a little bit bored inside. Tracy wanted to come along, but I had warmly told her that I needed some alone time. She had been with me all day, chattering away. Although I love our discussions, I couldn't stop my mind from wandering away.

Thoughts of Richard consumed me. It has only been a day, yet I miss him so much.

I stepped outside and was greeted by the clear blue sky. I could hear the chirping of birds in the trees in the garden. The pure green grass that surrounded me looked so beautiful I could lie on it all day. I saw a rose flower tree and went close to it. I bent down, inhaling the lovely fragrance. For some reason, it nauseated me.

I immediately turned and started vomiting. I guess my body probably didn't like the scent. I had my condition to blame for that. I was still slouched when another round of nausea hit me, causing me to vomit.

Just then a voice came from behind. One I recognized.
