Livia's POV; Is this still the Lucius I know? I silently hid under the shadow of the fence, I had a respite from those coyotes, but this time I froze, my eyes looked in one direction, but never moved again. Lucius stepped on the ground with a powerful pace and walked step by step towards the Beta of Nightshade Pack. Countless wild wolves flocked around him, the wolves wagged their tails respectfully, their eyes loyally gazing at the one figure in the center, his tall body protruding in the center of all the wolves. He was like the king of all the wild wolves, like a king with supreme power in the forest, the center of the world, and even the sunlight in the sky seemed to have lost some of its luster because of him. A large area of wild wolves in front gave way for him, and the world seemed to be divided, and the Beta of Nightshade Pack, who was once arrogant and powerful, also fled quickly like a dog with its tail between its legs when it saw him. The wolf king, I don't know wh
Lucius’ POV: "How did you know the direction I was heading and why is your jumping ability so strong!" As I landed, I saw Nightshade Pack's Beta stop in his tracks, his eyes turning to madness after his surprise. "I know, this must be the power brought to you by the jewel of Camelot, having the jewel not only allows you to control the wolf pack, but also gives you some other abilities, damn, the jewel should have been ours!" Beta of Nightshade Pack said as he moved his feet towards the back, his eyes rolling as he surveyed his surroundings, as if he wanted to escape from other directions. His move was clearly seen by me, and just before he tried to turn his torso, my body had leapt into mid-air and lunged directly towards his body! "No, you're not going to catch me!" Nightshade Pack's Beta howled crazily, then without the slightest hesitation, he turned around to escape again, but he was now within the distance of my attack. "Go to hell!" Without answering his words, the dist
Livia's POV: I followed closely behind the Nightshade warrior whom I sensed his ranking to be that of a Gamma. He took hastened steps and suddenly began to run towards the east of the Pack. I have never been to this part of the Pack before. Where could he be going? And how did he know the Crescent Pack so well, almost like he was being led by a map. Gradually my few opened up to what seemed like a cave enclosure, the more I drew closer to the cave, the more I felt my senses heightened. It was like a powerhouse to me as I felt like a god in this state. This is the Pack's Ephesus, what could the Gamma of Nightshade Pack be looking for in the Pack's Ephesus? My memory flashed back to the time when madam kalliope told me about the secrets of the Crescent Pack and how the Pack's biggest lifesource, the two fishes which dwells in the Pack's Ephesus should not be tampered with, of not it could cause a major setback for the pack. I looked up at the sky and noticed that the round full mo
Livia's POV: With this thought in mind, I made a firm resolution and then slowly used what was left of my net to crawl my way into the water. Once inside the water, I tried to struggle off the dagger from my chest and the water kept turning more dark red, my body became weaker and weaker as I felt as if life was slipping away from me. I wouldn't want to leave Lucius this way, but this was a sacrifice I had to make to change the history of our fate. The pain was eating away at my nerves even more intensely as my tolerance level depreciated, my strength became less and less, and my struggle became feeble. It was as if the sharp knife was swinging wildly inside me, my whole body was soaked, my hair was soaked as I laid flat down in the shallow stream that allowed half of my face to rest above the blood stained water. Blood kept flowing out of my body, all my strength seemed to be sucked away by the invisible forces of the river. My vision was becoming blurred but I managed to look

Lucius' POV: This is not real, this is a dream! The moment I turned back, my breathing stopped, then my heart felt like it was suddenly pierced by a knife, the silver moon up in the sky suddenly changed its color from that of silver to a deep color of red and I immediately knew that the pack Ephesus was tempered with. But. Where is Livia, I needed to keep her safe at this time… she wouldn't have the strength to fight as her powers are mostly triggered by the moon and this is a different kind of moon which gives off the opposite energy of what the blue moon gives. Suddenly, I felt the power of the jewel of Camelot rapidly dissipating as the countless coyotes began retreating back into the forest. Once again only I and my warriors were left to defend the Crescent Pack facing off against the vicious Nightshade Pack. “Alpha Lucius, you think you are all mighty and unstoppable…” an ugly laugh rang out from my left side and I immediately turned my head to see Alpha's Roshan standing a
Lucius' POV: My pupils were almost torn apart at this moment, and I didn't blink even though I felt blood filling the whites of my eyes. Livia is going to be fine, she's going to be fine. I frantically tore the werewolf in front of me to pieces, stepped on the blood all over the ground, and followed a straight line directly into the Ephesus. She had an arm-thick steel dagger right below the center of her chest, and the blood kept flowing down as if a valve had been opened. Such a wound, no! My heart was filled with panic as the power of the wolf beads focused on my right hand, and the next moment my sharp claws were on the dagger. The hard wooden handle of this assassin's dagger turned into crumbs in my claws, and the next moment I transformed into a human, I held Livia and put her out of the water, then pulled out the half wooden post on her chest at an angle. The steel dagger with blood fell aside while I frantically bandaged towards her wound with bandages made of clothes,
Lucius' POV: I transformed into a wolf again, the power of the jewel of Camelot flowed into my body, a pack of wild wolves carried Livia's corpse under my command, then my senses spread out wildly, the whole Pack appeared clearly within my senses. "Damn, how come there are so many Crescent Pack warriors here? We shouldn't be in this situation without Alpha Roshan around!" I caught the voice of Gamma of Nightshade Pack in the distance as well, his voice full of annoyance as I sensed that he had been surrounded by Crescent Pack's elite warriors. It was as if the fire of my desire to kill was ignited at this moment, and my four sharp claws clawed viciously at the ground, and the next moment my body was already rushing in that direction. The wild wolves of the desert returned, they howled and followed my footsteps, while clearing the Nightshade Pack's warriors that were in the way, and in less than a minute I saw the back of that impurely colored fur. "This guy is Crescent Pack's Ga
Livia's POV:My lips gape, horror filled my eyes as I was at lost in what to do. I was still in shock and fear as I felt my entire body trembling but I didn't pull my hands out as I knew doing that would be worse.Lucius was shocked but he quickly pulled me to his arm, his hand settled on his back while the other wrapped the entire back of my head, “Don't panic, it will be alright,” he coaxed me and from behind. “I am alright,” he said as if to assure me.Lucius didn't forget the woman behind him and utilized his powers to hit on the woman's face, rendering kalliope to an unconscious state.I was stuttering, my tears kept falling asleep I realized my terrible mistake, “L-Lucius I… I didn't want to do this. I saw you as kalliope, the magic… s-she…”“Shush,” Lucius stroked the back of my head slowly. “I will be fine. It isn't a large injury for me. Calm down Livia, you have to get a hold of yourself.”I breathed in and out. I could feel my mind in scatters as I tried to clear my eyes wh
Livia's POV:Lucius respected my decision to fight as it could easily do. Others might be able to close their eyes and let their hatred of being betrayed wash over the sadness but to me it was hard.To me, madam kalliope was the figure of a mother after my mom, the betrayal I felt was much more agonizing as I had trusted the woman to be my own family. When I joined the fight, I didn't manage to exchange a lot of words with Lucius. However, we fought hand in hand while assisting one another perfectly as if our instincts knew what we should do to help one another reach a higher level of our powers. In between the fights, I saw how one attack of kalliope can cause the entire ground to break, “how could she be this strong?”Lucius who had come next to me narrowed his eyes, “she had sold her soul to dark magic. The stronger she becomes, it would also mean in the next growing seconds, her soul is slowly leaving her body.”I looked at madam kalliope again. I was unable to comment on anything
Livia's POV:“Madam kalliope,” I called her, “Don’t do this. Please.”Madam kalliope’s eyes slowly went to lock gaze with with mine.“There is still a point you can turn back to, madam kalliope, we all have guilts.” I said to the woman with plea in my words. “I have them as well, I had killed people too. Please, I don't want to kill you.”Madam kalliope closed her eyes, “No, if you want this to end, you should kill me Livia. Maybe with this, the circle of hatred would stop.”Lucius stepped before me. He looked at me meeting my eyes, “I will take care of her. You can stand by there.”My hand reached out as Lucius had left without waiting for me to answer and I clenched my hand, settling it before me. Madam kalliope started the fight by aiming to attack the sides of Lucius with the best of her ability.Lucius was swift to avoid every last one of her attacks, “why now?” Lucius questioned the woman, “you could've executed whatever plan you have before this but why now?”Madam kalliope tr
Livia's POV:I couldn't believe who I had seen. It was madam kalliope, my eyes didn't lie to me. At first, I doubted what I saw. I wondered if it was another disguise the woman wore after my appearance peeled off only to discover that it was the truth. No matter how much I doubted my eyes, the truth was in front of my eyes as clear as the blood moon above us.“Why?” Was the only word I could ask while staring at madam kalliope who Lucius held by her neck against the pillar.Madam kalliope didn't bat an eyelid on my expression as if she had expected it. “Hm.” She answered and I shook my head.“I-I don't understand…” I walked forward. Like a child who had just had her wish shattered before her eyes, I was stricken with sadness and shock. “What do you mean, madam kalliope?”Madam kalliope closed her eyes once, opening to show the same bleak expression, “He killed my son, the only family I had left on earth. Oh, I didn't tell you abouty child?”Lucius also looked surprised at kalliope's r
Livia's POV:My eyes widened, I had realized that I wasn't the only one who had been tricked. When did this happen?“You might want to quickly find him or he will die soon,” chuckled the man and his voice boomed aloud.“Shut up!” My last anger thread snapped and the moment I screamed as if the walls would rupture from the echoes of my voice.I steadied my stance as I looked at him, I could slowly feel my humanity leaving me as I launched the final attack towards him. With my claws going into his abdomen, I tore off his skin as I felt my hand holding unto his warm wormly like intestines before finally rooting them out.He didn't seem to care much about his death, it was almost as if he knew this would happen. The powers he used in manipulating his image to look like that of Lucius, I knew immediately that it was blood magic and once one is to go I to such, they won't more that 24 hours after that. But all for what course?I didn't spend any more time to go down and I ran down the stair
Lucius' POV:On the first floor, I walked with Livia together, seeing the red moon, Livia who had no jewelry on her neck stared at the moon with a complex look. “I'm worried,” she said, “everything had turned red. Whatever I see, everything is red.”“I told you there is nothing to be worried about,” I smiled while looking at her, my eyes filled with warmth and gentleness. I reached out my hand to touch the side of her cheeks. “I am here now and if anything happens, you can activate the powers of the moon goddess in you, can you activate it now?”Livia looked at me slowly and shook her head, “I am afraid I won't be able to do that now.”My eyes slowly traveled to her and I nodded, “why so?” Livia opened her pursed lips, “I–”“I am joking my love, I know that you are currently not stable,” I answered instead of her. “I don't hear any sound of fight going on anywhere. We should find out the method of how the invaders came into our Villa.”“That means the answer might be there,” suggeste
Livia's POV:A moment passed in silence with both of us in stalemate. I stared back at Lucius with a cautious look who looked at me with an emotion filled gaze before slowly by time, his emotions faded from his eyes.“I am Lucius. Don't you see how I look?” He spread his arms, a wide grin appeared on his lips. It was a grin filled with cruelty.I shook my head, “No, you are not him. Who are you?” I asked again when Lucius took a step forward, I quickly changed into my wolf's form and aimed for the man's wrist and legs, pinning him to the wall and he fell to the ground.‘Lucius’ who was thrown on the ground grunt in pain, his expression scrunched. He lifted his chin, looking at me, “what are you doing, Livia? Are we fighting now?” “Lucius only calls me Lilly,” I said with a look of suspicion.“I am sorry I forgot it, Lilly…” said the man but his words didn't complete as I continued.“And that was a lie because Lucius only calls me Livia or sweetheart. He always walk on my pace, he wil
Lucius' POV:“Tch!” He began to lose his cool seeing how I was getting closer to him and he ran back, he realized there was only a dead end. When he looked at me, he caught the smile, the same smile of a predator who had finally driven its targets to the corner as they wanted.“You think you can kill me with that method? It will take you more time!” The beast used the remaining dead bodies on the ground to throw at me to earn him some time.“Not if I do this!” I used my hands to squeeze the beads that dangled on my neck and my speed accelerated and with the speed of light, I was already in front of this hideous monster, catching him off guard. His eyes widened because in the next second when he was still processing how he had lost the confidence he once had when he thought he could use some move. Now, he was left with nothing and my claws had went inside his chest.I watched the look on the werewolf's face as it finally sunk to him that he had lost and I raised my eyebrows at it. Did
Livia's POV:“M-Milady…” whispered madam kalliope, her breaths heaving in difficulty. Her eyes looked dazed until she saw that it was me.Don't worry, I'm here now, we should go somewhere else to tend to your wound,” I hurried the words I spoke and took one of madam kalliope's arm to round it over my neck but before I could raise my body, madam kalliope clutched to my dress tightly. My eyes widened for a moment, alarmed as I thought madam kalliope was hurting.“What's wrong?” I asked.“I just remembered. You have to be careful, L-Livia,” madam kalliope coughed for a moment. “T-the attack is only happening in the Villa's premises, for some reason the rest of the pack was spared. What? I remembered earlier when the lower werewolf was excited because he thought he had me. But that was odd. How could they enter without the other warriors being alerted?I poured my attention to madam kalliope again. “I will keep that in mind, for now, we should move to my room. It is the safest there. Stay
