WIND’S CAFE

BUSHWIND TOWN

11:00AM

The next day

“I heard this is the best café in town” I say as me and Marcus walk towards the Wind’s café

“Nothing beats this place” Marcus says holding the door open for me as he follows behind me

“Frank my guy I want the usual please” Marcus says as he dabs one of the workers working behind the counter

“I didn't know they were hiring beautiful detectives now” Frank says whilst looking at me directly looking at me up and down which makes me slightly giggle, with the interaction causing Marcus giving Frank a deadly stare,

“Can I get a caramel latte please” I say cutting the awkward tension and shooting Frank a friendly smile, as he walks away leaving me alone with Marcus

“What was that all about” I say diverting my attention to Marcus as I smack his arm

“Just wanted him to know his place” Marcus says with a smirk plastered on his face

“Which is” I say waiting for a response, but our conversation is cut short when a 6’3 muscular figure intrudes our space

“Elita surprised to see you here” Dame says as he approaches me and Marcus, which causes Marcus’s expression to unpleasantly change.

“You two know each other” Marcus says cutting the silence as I continue to stare at Dame

“Erm...something like that” I clear my throat suddenly finding a voice

“Detective Farkas, you learn something you every day don’t you” Dame says looking down at my badge raising his eyebrows, Dame and Marcus continue giving each other deadly stares

“Your drinks” Frank comes back to the till with our drinks, cutting the awkward silence giving me sense of relief

“We should go” Marcus speaks up, whilst taking both drinks into his hands

“Yeah....Yeah see you around” I say looking directly at Dame as I follow Marcus behind walking out the café

“Who was that” Vanessa approaches Dame returning from the restroom

“Nobody important” Dame says as he continues looking at the menu.

OUTSIDE WIND’S CAFE

BUSHWIND TOWN

As I quickly follow behind Marcus curiosity takes over making me wonder how him and Dame know of each other, the look they gave each other was not unfamiliar it was almost as if they have hidden history together.

“What is your problem” I say trying to catch up to him as my speed increases

“You need to stay away from him” Marcus says turning around stopping in his tracks and facing me

“Why, how do you two even know each other” I say crossing my hands above my chest eager for answers.

“He is bad news” Marcus says becoming irritated every second at the thought of Dame

“Tell me what is going on” I say standing idle Infront of him

“JUST STAY AWAY, OKAY” Marcus says raising his voice and furiously walking away as i stand there idle.

EVON FOREST

BUSHWIND TOWN

13:00PM

It's been a while since I have been here” Gabriel begins to speak out sitting on one of the logs in the forest

“If I'm being honest, I have been scared I didn’t know the right words to say or how to say it, 23 years later I still feel the same pain I felt, I'm sorry my love I really am” Gabriel speaks wiping away a tear that creeps beneath his eyes.

“Nothing ever made me feel powerless like allowing you to be killed, but I'm begging you show me anything, anything at all” Gabriel waits for a response and in return receives nothing making him put his head down in disappointment.

ROSE’S HOUSE

BUSHWIND TOWN

18:30PM

I slowly walk into the house tiptoeing up the stairs quietly hoping not to be recognised, but sometimes you don’t get what you hope for. “Your back” Aunty Rose says at the bottom of the stairs staring at me whilst wiping her hands with a kitchen towel. After a couple seconds of conducting myself, I finally decide to turn around to face her.

“Yeah” I say without hesitation

“Well, I made dinner if you want some” Aunty Rose says trying to cut the awkward tension

“I’m not hungry” I say not trying to engage in the conversation

“How did you and Sophia day out go the other day” she says trying to make conversation

“Good” I say directly

“Can we not do this El” Aunty Rose says placing the kitchen towel on the table next to her

“Do what” I say confused

“This, ignoring each other, I know you want answers, and I will give them to you but right now is not the time you have to understand” Aunty Rose says trying to reassure me

“When is the right time then” I say crossing my hands above my chest becoming irritated at her answers, but just like every other time I get no response

“Exactly what I thought, i'm tired i want to go sleep” I say stomping up the stairs annoyed at the outcome of the conversation. I don’t why she is finding it so difficult to explain things to me, I know I should probably tell her about the visions I'm getting but I can’t until I figure out what is going on nobody can know.

ELITA’S BEDROOM

BUSHWIND TOWN

After my previous Interaction with Aunty Rose, I decided to isolate myself in my room, I wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone to be honest. I have been feeling like I'm going crazy the constant torment of my own mind is killing me slowly with every passing second. At first, I thought my mother appearing to me in my dreams was a sign telling me I haven't dealt with my grief but the more I see her, hear her voice it all feels too real it almost feels like she is here.

As a distraction I decided to have a cold, cold shower to help me cool off, in hopes I would be able to figure out something or even get some sort of answer to all of this but instead I felt further away from the truth. As I walk into my room to my surprise, I get an unpleasant surprise.

“Detective” Dame says smirking at the thought of his words

“What are you doing in my room” I say above a whisper, fighting the urge to scream in his face for invading my space once again, but the last thing I need is an audience in my room and whole bunch of questions.

“I was in the neighbourhood, and I thought I should come a pay you a visit” Dame says amused at his own words.

“Well, here I am, you can go now” I say walking closer to him trying to push his body out of my room

“You do know it's not wise to try and kick me out, if I walk out these doors, I may just bump into someone and I'm sure you don’t want that to happen.” Dame says with a smirk plastered across his face.

“Fine, what do you want” I say letting go of his arm

“Can we talk, I promise I won't waste your time this time” Dame says sternly as I stare at him for a couple of seconds before responding

“Fine, I need to get changed first so turn around” I say in a serious tone

“Really, I'm quite familiar with the female body” he says with a devilish smile on his face

“Turn around NOW” I say becoming annoyed at his statement

“Okay, fine calm down” he says finally turning around
