A Dream

He carried her from the balcony, straight into her apartment because the door was open. She had fallen asleep after taking vitamins and it had such a side effect on her. David didn't want to go into her bedroom because he thought he would be invading her privacy. Instead, he put her on the couch, grabbed a blanket he saw next to her and covered her with. He gradually fixes her hair while staring at Brianna's resting face. "Are you sleeping beauty?" He asked with a loving smile. He quickly locks her balcony door and then walks out through the front door, making sure it was well shut.

"Hmmmm, why am I here? Did I fall asleep in the living room?. Wait, I remember I was sitting in the balcony getting some fresh air. No way!, did I fall asleep after taking the vitamins?" Brianna gasps in shock as she doesn't remember how she got to her living room. "This is the first time I don't really remember anything. How could I have slept so soundly without hearing even the slightest noise? It didn't feel like anyone was here either" she continued to think hard until she got interrupted by the door bell. "Hmmmm, who is it?" Brianna walks to the door and checks the camera when she sees David.

"It's David" she quickly opens the door, excited to see him. "You're awake. I was worried you weren't going to wake up any time soon" David continues in a more worried tone, "last night I saw that you fell asleep at the balcony, so I brought you inside. Did you by chance take any sleeping pills?". "No, no, no, no, I only took some vitamins that the doctor prescribed to me. I forgot to read the side effects" Brianna quickly responds. She questions with her eyes after noticing David is holding a lunch bag and coffee attached to it. David realizes and quickly responds "Oh, I brought you breakfast and some coffee. I was worried you'd be too weak to make anything. If you don't like coffee, you can throw it away". Brianna happily grabs the bag as David hands it over to her. "I love coffee, thank you very much". "Enjoy. I'll head back to my apartment" David walks back to his apartment and Brianna quickly walks back into her apartment.

"I really don't like coffee, but I'll give it a try since you made it" she giggles while she sips the coffee. "It's not too bitter and not too sweet either. I'll just add sugar to it" Brianna opens the lunch bag and sees a dish containing fried eggs and toast with raw tomatoes. "He really did work hard. I can't believe I made him worry" Brianna tucks right into it. A few days later, Brianna had gone to visit her father's grave. It was her father's death anniversary. With a bouquet of flowers in her hand, she places it on his grave. Without saying a word, she begins to sweep the dead leaves away from his grave. 

"How have you been dad?. Did you miss me?, because I miss you so much. I've been resting properly these days after I took off from work. It's what you've always wanted. Dad, it feels so lonely without you" Brianna gives a courageous smile with tears rolling down her cheeks. 30 minutes passes by with her just sitting by his grave and meditating. She suddenly stands up and decides to leave when a guy dressed in black starts to follow her, but she doesn't notice. Brianna reaches a cake store and decides to get one for herself. She gets into a cab after that, and her stalker follows her with another cab. Brianna and her Uber driver arrive at her location, she walks out and begins heading for the elevator to take her to her apartment which is on the 5th floor when she suddenly notices a presence.

"Strange!. I thought I heard someone following from behind. We could take the same elevator, I wonder why I can't see anyone. Maybe the person took another direction" Brianna worries. It is after she walks into the elevator that her stalker suddenly walks in as well. "Oh hello. I knew I had definitely heard someone. Which floor are you headed?" Briana asked the stranger, but he says nothing. Just when the elevator was about to close, David suddenly grabs the door and walks right in, standing next to Brianna. "Sorry I'm late babe, I had issues with parking the car downstairs" he tells Briana. Now turning to the stranger, David continues "We're headed to the 3rd floor. You don't mind if we go first, do you?. We might make out all the way all the way there" David smirks. Without saying a word, her stalker just nodes and walks out of the elevator. Briana seems shocked and speechless by the whole situation.

David punches the number 3 button, indicating they're headed for the third floor, and turns to cover Briana, moving his head towards her face as if to kiss her. When the elevator door finally shuts, he suddenly moves away. Shocked by what had just happened, Brianna suddenly opens her mouth to speak. "Do you maybe want to explain what just happened?". "He was stalking you" David responds. "Stalking me?. But...but how come? I don't get it. I did notice a certain presence, but I wasn't thinking that far. How did you know?" Says Briana. "I was in the neighborhood when I saw him follow you from downstairs, and it looked weird to me. So, I decided to follow you. Also..." David is suddenly cut off by Briana who interferes, "Also when I asked him what floor he was headed, he didn't respond" Brianna concludes. "Thank you so much, you saved me" says Briana when the elevator door suddenly opens on the third floor. "You should be extra careful from now on. Also, even if we were to report this, we won't be able to catch him because he was wearing a face mask" David tells Briana after punching the number 5 button which heads to the fifth floor.

Briana suddenly looks at the cake she had bought, and then decides to gift it to David. "Here, this is for you. I thought about you on my way home and I decided to get it for you". David accepts the cake, and then he says "If you want, I can sleep with you tonight
