Chapter 11

I bit my lower lip and carried Caroline out of the bar as she was staggering while walking. Her eyes were closed as I lifted her like a newlywed bride.

I gently set her down inside the car. I adjusted her clothes as her chest was nearly exposed. I took off my coat, which I wore earlier, and used it to cover her body. Inayos ko ang aking suot na damit and glanced at her before starting the car engine. She's sleeping.

I drove slowly towards their house to prevent Caroline from feeling dizzy and getting sick during the trip.

"What happened to Ma'am Caroline, Miguel?" Mrs. Cristy asked in surprise as I entered the mansion carrying Caroline.

"She attended her friend's birthday party, Mrs. Cristy," I replied.

"She'll get scolded again once Sir Samson finds out about this," she said as she followed me up the stairs.

I carefully laid Caroline down on her bed. Manang Cristy helped me in placing the blanket over her.

"Could you please cook a warm soup for Ma'am Caroline, Mrs. Cristy? She
