I continued to hold on to Miguel until the police arrived. They carefully handcuffed Alexander even though he was still unconscious.

"You need to come with us to the precinct, Ma'am," the policewoman said to me.

"I'll take care of him, Ma'am. I'm his bodyguard," Miguel said, catching the attention of the police.

"Weren't you the one who picked up your friend earlier?" the policewoman asked him.

Miguel glanced at me before replying, "Yes, ma'am," in a restrained tone.

They looked back at me. "Will you come with us, or will you have him take you home?"

"I-I'll just have him take me there" I replied.

The police nodded before leaving my room. I released my embrace on Miguel and sat on my bed. He walked towards the door and locked it.

"Get dressed so we can go to the police station," he said, facing away from me.
