Chapter One
The wind howled violently as Grey stared outside his window, people could be seen running Helter skelter to seek for shelter from the violent wind, thunder suddenly struck to warn those underneath the earth that it would rain violently soon. The fierce resound of thunderstorms was heard and then the heavens seemed to pour down their anger in form of rain. Grey frowned as he saw some familiar figures trying to find shelter where he was.He snickered and walked out of the building he was in."Let's go!" A man who seems to be the leader yelled to those who followed him.Grey shook his head and growled."Where do you think you're going?" He thundered angrily, his voice rhyming with the resounding thunder. The people froze as his eyes scanned all those who were present. Grey hissed as he seethed in anger, they were all drenched by the rain which now poured down on him as well."We seek shelter here, after all you were the one who asked for our presence." The man replied.Grey stared daggers at him and the man instantly regretted his bravery. He sucked in air into his lungs and clenched his fists angrily, it took all his willpower not to melt out his frustrations on the werewolves you stood before him."Get out of the pack." He ordered.Murmurs and gasps escaped from the lips of all who where there, was their alpha playing a prank on them? But it was raining heavily and he was known not to only be cold-hearted but also vicious and unforgiving, the chances of his joking with them were slim but why would he chase them out of the pack."Noah , we don't understand what you mean." The man spoke up again, trying to clarify things.Grey cast a disgusted look at him."Did I stutter?" Grey asked sarcastically."No, but I.... We, but why?" The man asked curiously. It was out of the blues, it was even unimaginable. They had lived their entire lives in the pack, though Grey had been alpha not for long yet they had grown to love and respect him, they were scared of him as well but only because his means of eliminating his enemies were ruthless. He had earlier called all omegas to the pack that evening and they honored his invitation.Though the sky darkened as it was pregnant with dark clouds yet the Alpha's call was not one to be ignored even if it was raining brimstone and fire, getting there; they were delayed for half an hour and then the rain began to fall heavily hence they sought shelter in the huge pack castle but was stopped by the Alpha himself.Their initial thoughts was that he wanted to assign them a mission, no one was sure of he reason behind his sudden actions but they were curious to know what it was but here he was standing before them and expelling them from the pack, wasn't that weird? Was he trying to test their resilience? One of the omegas came forward and went on his knees."Alpha, we beg of you, if this is a test then do tell us and ease us of this anxiety of ours, what do you mean by telling us to leave the pack? Are we to go hunting or a mission? Is this a job for all omegas?" Gareth; a prominent omega asked. The answers from the crowd showed that they supported his questions and they looked longingly at their Alpha to respond, though the rain began fierce yet he raging storm inside of them after being abruptly told to vacate the pack was fiercer, one had to naturally bow to the other.Grey felt his blood boil as he stared at their faces, the rain seemed to wash down every year of his hence it was invincible. How dare they ask of their offence? Didn't they know they were doomed just because they were omegas?"You all are banned from the pack, you are to never step foot in here else you'd have yourself to be blamed." Grey said dismissively and turned to leave ignoring their loud protest. He suddenly paused as he felt a weight pull him down, he looked down to see a girl clenching to his legs and crying out loud."Please Noah, don't do this to us! Where would we go? Where would we start from? We were all born into this pack, our ancestors died in this pack as well. How grave is our offense that it is only punishable by expelling us from our family? We've built our entire life here. We'd rather die on this soil than wander the face of the Earth like some criminal or rogue. Have mercy on us." The girl cried.I scoffed."Mercy? You're only alive because I had mercy on you, by daybreak I don't want to see you, your family, relatives or anything related to you in my pack hence you'd die the most gruesome death ever known and I'd have your carcass fed to the animals of the wild." Grey spat out venomously and made to leave but she still clung to his legs.He growled and yanked her away which sent her dozens of meters away, he turned to go and didn't look back, he paid a deaf ear to all their pleas, cries sobs and shouts of pain and agony as the guards fought whoever defied his orders, there was no going back. He went back inside and watched how the guards dealt with the recalcitrant one and a large number of them died in the process.Grey got bored of seeing the useless scene and proceeded into his chamber, the penalty he them was nothing compared to the pain they made him go through. The screams still managed to surpass the thunder and Grey somehow managed to fall asleep though it took longer than usual, and slowly the noise dissipated. The cool morning breeze gently graced the room as a woman is seen seductively embracing the sleeping figure of a man. The man looked too handsome to be human or even a supernatural, even when sleeping he looked like the god of hotness sent from the heavens. The woman sighed satisfactorily as she took in his whole form. Her eyes and fingers trailed from his silky golden hair which smelt like roses to his stone cold face which made him looked more attractive and alluring as well, her eyes fell on his lips, his blissful lips which did unspeakable things to her the previous night. She was tempted to have a taste of the inviting forbidden fruit if his lips but she didn't want to wake him up just yet.Her fingers then trailed down to his nape andHer hands trailed down to his Adam's apple. He gulped in and gently moaned in response to her touch, she was thrilled and went even further, her fingers worked wonders as they seemed to enjoy the contact they had with his body.'Damn!' The woman c
The pack seemed peaceful that morning, the pack had always being peaceful but that morning was different. The environment was serene and the quietness there was almost eerie, sounds of leaves being crunched under the foot interrupted the rhythmic silence as Grey walked the pack grounds. He was bored and decided to take a walk. His thoughts ran wild as he stared into the blank space, the guards who passed by him either halted or simply curtsied and left, everyone was in a hurry to leave his presence as he wore a murderous look that morning. His train of thoughts were interrupted by a sound."Decided to take a walk today?" A voice asked.Grey turned to face the one who intruded his privacy, the scowl on his face was replaced by a rare smile and the only one capable of such flashed him a smile as well."Noah, I was wondering why everyone was quite and peaceful, turned out it can never be quiet and peaceful with you around." Grey said sternly.Noah shook his head and chuckled, he threw a
“An Omega? Is this meant to be a joke?” Grey said to himself, staring at the window.“I’ve made my findings and that’s what it presents, your mate is an omega." Theo; the man Grey sent to make Inquiries said.Grey sighed and chuckled, was the goddess trying to play a prank on him? Does she spite him that much? His thoughts ran wild but he hid all these underneath his cold and stoic look, there was no way he'd let anyone see him worried or tensed. He inhaled deeply and exhaled sharply."Go do your inquiries once more, ensure that you make no mistakes." Grey ordered.Theo shook his head and insisted on his conclusion."I followed her just as you said I should. I couldn't have been mistaken, I have been doing things like these for years and finding someone's identity or rank is the least of my expertise, I can not be wrong about that." Theo argued. He prided himself in his work and making a mistake meant his fame and skills would drastically decrease, if he would make a mistake it would
Nevada chuckled as she watched the other girls splash water at each other. They had come to the stream to fetch some water and decided to play a little bit. She sighed as she stared into the space and then longed to return back to the pack, she was an Omega who got accepted into a bigger family of omegas and lived in their midst as a member. Her life wasn't exactly a bed of roses but she was thriving, they had been chosen to explore more grounds and seek for information on how they would strengthen their forte, grow their crops more and be at peace with other packs and she volunteered to be among them. She couldn't wave off the feeling that she was being watched. She closer her eyes and relived the memory of the happiest day she could remember, she had gone rabbit hunting that day and felt a strange presence with her, she was one to be wary of strange presences and danger but it felt different that day, she felt at peace and safer. Joy encapsulated her soul and for the first time in a
