Skyler was dead tired by the time he reached the square. The day had been nothing but a train wreck. He had forgotten to refill his substitute tablets and he had eaten nothing since the morning. Nandini heaved a sigh of relief as she walked out of the office building. She had been running around the whole day from one department to another. She was sure if not for her perks as a vampire, she would have fainted. More than that she had a hard time controlling herself from pouncing onto him. The tablets had been acting as a great remedy and she thought she would be absolutely fine living amidst humans but now after meeting Manik, she was having second thoughts. Nandini had been barely hanging in the presence of Manik with the help of her substitute tablets but now that all her tablets had been confiscated she didn't know what to do. She had been so used to relying on her high dose tablets that the normal doses seemed to have no effect on her, not even when she had chugged down three tablets in one glass of water which wasn't exactly considered a good thing to do and now she had been regretting it as the tablets effect had started kicking in.
