Keira’s POVI wake up on Sunday and think about what I’m going to do today. If Shepard is really going out of town with Whitney, then he’s not planning to meet up with me. Keira’s POVI’m glad I came out with everyone, it really helped me get my mind off things. Talia was also right about me needing to figure out my feelings for Shepard. Beta Harth’s POVI’m with the scout team to find out what happened to Mason and Lily. “Sir, should we go up to their gate or is this a recon mission?” “Let’s announce ourselves. We don’t want to provoke them even more.” I hope this goes well, starting a war is not in anyone’s best interests. We walk up to their gate to announce ourselves. We are greeted by two warriors.“Stop and identify yourselves.” One of the warriors says.“I am Beta Harth from Elk Forest Pack. We have come to see Alpha Julian.” The guards look at each other in confusion. “Alpha Julian is dead.” The other guard says. I’m completely thrown off by what he’s saying.“What? Keira’s POVThat night it was hard for me to sleep. I didn’t feel at ease and I kept thinking about everything that’s happen today. I know everything is changing and I feel like I’m the cause. Theo’s POVI’m in a tent meeting with my allied Alpha’s when Grace steps in. “Alpha Theo,” she nods to me then to the other Alphas, showing her respect for our positions. “Forget the formalities Grace. It’s not necessary.” I say. “What’s the news.” “Sir, Pale Moon is awake, our spies say it’s just a matter of waiting for their Alpha to give them the word.” Pale Moon Pack arrived a few miles outside of our borders late last night, before stopping to make camp and rest. The last time I was here I had just stabbed Dawson and ran away ready to spend the rest of my life in hiding, as an omega. Keira’s POVI wake up the next morning to an unfamiliar room. I sit up quickly, panicked, but quickly calm when I realize that I’m in Shepard’s cabin. I smile as I recall the events of last night. Shepard and I together.. the prospect of our future happiness brightens my smile to a laugh. Then I yawn and stretch, placing my feet on the cold wooden floor. I gaze around the creaky old cabin, when I realize for the first time that I’m alone. “Shepard?” I call his name, although I already know I’ll receive no response. This cabin is only one room, and I’m the only one in it. I wonder where he could’ve gone? I get up and see my clothes all neatly folded in a stack on the dining table. I chuckle again at this kind gesture from Shepard, and I take it as a sign that he just wanted to let me sleep in. I get dressed and make my way over to the pack house for breakfast. Shepherd and I standup, leaving our half eaten breakfasts behind, and head to my mother’s office. I knock on the door.“Come in.” She calls out. We walk in and see her sitting at her desk, still reading a piece of white paper.“I’m guessing you are here about this?” She says, pulling her glasses down from her nose and holding up the paper in her hands. “I’m not too keen on showing it to your friend, but here.” She holds it out to me. I walk over and take it from her. I start to read it and I’m shocked. Dawson killed Alpha Thorin in a challenge. I can’t believe it. My hand covers my mouth in shock. I feel a hand rubbing my back, it’s Shepard. The letter also says that Mason and Lily have been found and that Mason has taken on the role as Alpha now. They are headed back home and the don’t think they are being pursued by Pale Moon pack. At the end it says the

Mason’s POVI feel a pain in my chest and then suddenly the voices of my pack come rushing in. They’re all crying out for my father, Alpha Thorin. I fall to my knees, and hold on tight to Lily as their cries continue to fill my head. The weight of their sorrow mixed with my own is almost too much to bear. But with my father’s last breath, I can feel my own wolf gaining strength. I’m next in line, I will be the new Alpha. I stand to my feet, pushing down the voices in my head. “I need to get to my pack now.” I say.“Head in that direction, that’s where your soldiers should be. We’re going to have to part ways here.” The man who rescued us says. I hurry and run as fast as my body will let me in the direction that he pointed. I can smell my pack’s scent getting stronger and stronger as I approach.“Halt!” I hear some one shout to me. I know it’s one of my own men.“It’s me, it’s Mason.” I reply. Some warriors come out from behind the trees. The looks on their faces tell me everything.
