“Let bygones be bygones….” Darcy muttered with his head lowered, feeling lost for a few moments. He would have to be a fool to not understand the undercurrent; his lips curled up in a self-derogatory smile ‘He was truly a fool to not see what even his little brother saw through.’

“I am willing to respect your decision” Darcy slowly raised his eyes to stare into Grace’s as he said word for word “But I still need to know how miserably I failed.”

Grace sighed helplessly as she sat next to him, hugging him as she spoke in a soft voice “You have never failed me. I always knew in my heart that you would still be waiting for me, to pick up from where we left.”

“The reason I left was never you. It was me and my son.” Grace didn’t cower as she spoke “I left because I was selfish.”

“I thought that if I told you about what Eva did, or the choice she gave us, you would without a doubt chose to give up on our child.” Grace exhaled helplessly “This is the first seed of our love, how could I give
