The three of them spent all morning getting to know each other all over again. It was only when Dolly came to urge them to eat lunch that they realized that the whole morning had passed. Lunch was eaten quietly with respect to the rules of Dupont estate. What no one realized was that Raphael didn’t really have any rules… it was just that he was alone almost all his life and there was no one to talk to at the dining table. The rest of the week passed in a flurry of activity. Everyone was swept off their feet; running their personal businesses, pretending that there was nothing out of the normal with their better halves and running errands that had self-assigned after volunteering to help Chris with his investigation. Firstly, Lorenzo executed both the tasks he was delegated to perfection. He didn’t have any trouble sneaking in and out of the hospital with archived data of everything related to the hospital, whether it was surveillance footage, finance or confidential information related to hospital records or clinical trials that were run by the hospital. Sofia had done the legwork making his work effortless. She had provided them with not just access cards but also habits and behaviors of the staff whose access cards they were using.
