Don't Break His Heart

“You're wondering, why this extremely big house?” That was the first words she said to me as we stepped outside the house and started walking down the garden. The cool summer breeze hit my face, same time the smell of citrus wafted into my nose. Being surrounded by nature is just one of the best things one can get. In the busy NY City where landlords built everything so close to each other that some units cannot open their windows without slamming their neighbors open one. It was a hassle and actually frustrating seeing as the astronomical prices they charge for rent didn't match the bizarre living conditions of the house.

“I am sorry, what?” I asked. She was right, everytime I passed by something, I always had a look of awe and a judgmental stare. Because why it was nice to have this space, was this really a home? Did it have the feel of that or more like a museum as I also saw many expensive paintings that as an artist my eyes almost bugged out of their sockets
