CHAPTER THIRTY-NINE

It Hurts, I Don't Know Why

“And see who decided to come back.” Ryan said, setting her back on the ground. If I thought she glowed when I saw her at the reception area, I was wrong. It was seeing him that made her eyes brighten and shimmer. I was almost certain that they have a history together. A romantic history, that is.

“And see who missed me?” She retorted still holding on to his hands and looking deeply into his eyes. I felt like marching up to them and removing her hands from his. Those hands that touched me in sensitive parts of my body and had me convulsing in pleasure for minutes. But I couldn't, because he wasn't mine and I made sure of that by stifling whatever wanted to develop between us. Seeing them made me regret my action. I wished I could turn back the hands of time.

“I didn't miss you.” He stated.

“Says someone that was badgering me with when are you coming back every week.” She chuckled.
