“Oh? What did he tell you?” I asked, wondering if Tim had told her what he truly was.

“Well, he basically told me why he did the things he did before. He wouldn’t talk much about what happened with him and Jacob, but he told me he had done things he wasn’t proud of. He’s still keeping that part of his life secret, but I guess I can understand since he doesn’t want me mixed up in it. But he also told me that Jacob told him he could either bring me in or I would be in danger. He said they are after you for some reason that I still don’t understand.”

“What do you mean he told you that he had to bring you in?” I asked, growing concerned.

“Well, Tim told Jacob I belonged to him, and Jacob told him to bring me into the gang. I guess every guy in a gang has a woman somewhere along the lines. This sounds like a biker gang, but I don’t know what that means.”

I knew from that Tim had not told her everything about himself. It was not my place to tell Dominique about Tim. However, her words

“Dominique, I am pleading with you to stay here for the next few days, not just the next few nights. I can’t say what it was at your house, but I don’t like it.” “Trust me when I say I am not going anywhere for a bit. I was already planning on asking Melissa to open and close the bar for me for a couple of days, so I had time to think and get away from Tim, but this just sealed the deal for me.” “I’m glad to hear it, Dominique,” I said, pulling her close. Dominique pulled out of my arms. I was disappointed, but I could tell she was tired. I heard Dominique sigh, almost as if she was trying to make up her mind about something. “Nathaniel, would you, um, would you mind laying with me for a while? Just until I go to sleep?” I didn’t mind at all. I was thrilled that she had asked me. I smiled and stood up. She took my hand as I held it out to her. I led her to the bedroom she had previously stayed in. “Can we stay in your room tonight?” Dominique asked. I tensed up. I couldn’t hel

  • Nathaniel   Chapter 28

Dominique spent the next two days at my house. I came out at night and sat with her on the couch but never tried to touch her. Sometimes she would be on her phone or laptop. Sometimes Dominique would snuggle up with me and play on her phone. I never said anything as I tried to give her space as she had asked. She didn’t talk to me either. Instead, she would lean up against me, and I would caress her arm or run my fingers through her hair. I was happy that she was allowing me to touch her at all. Tonight was the last night Dominique would be here. I walked out to the living room and found her on her laptop. I sat beside her, but she seemed so engrossed in what she was doing that she didn’t notice me. “What are you doing, Dominique?” I asked. “I, uh, I’m writing a story,” she stammered. “Do you mind if I look at it?” I asked. “Um, I would rather you didn’t. I told you I don’t let anyone read what I write.” “Could letting me read just a little bit be so bad?” She looked at me fo

Dominique rode to the club with me the next night. I was going to take her back to my house, and she could leave from there if she wanted to. There was disappointment coming from Dominique several times while she had stayed with me. It was almost as if she wanted me to do something, but my promise was stronger than that. I opened her door and put my arm around her shoulders as we walked in. We walked in, and I sat at our usual table. Dominique began setting up the system and ran some songs through it. We played, and I could tell Tim was watching Dominique all night. It was hard not to. She was so into the music when she played and sang. Dominique came and sat with me. As the songs played, Tim walked over and held his hand out to Dominique. I watched as Dominique looked at him for a minute and then at his hand. She looked at me, but I didn’t say anything. She took Tim’s hand, and he led her onto the dance floor. I felt jealousy rear its ugly head. I had promised Dominique that I wo

I awoke for the night and found I had a text message from Dominique. She was asking me about the contracts. I texted her back to let her know I would come in and talk with her. While dealing with everything else, I had put the business deal on the back burner. I suppose it would help her get her mind off of other things. This also let me know that she had left my house when she woke up. I went to the club and walked over to our table. Dominique was already sitting down, so I joined her. I smiled, and she smiled back. However, it wasn’t a happy smile, as it didn’t reach her eyes. I wasn’t sure why, but she was nervous. “Good evening, Dominique,” I said as I kissed her hand. “Hi. I wasn’t sure what was going on with the contracts, so I wanted to just clarify some things with you.” “Are you worried that I will back out on you?” I asked. “Well, I wasn’t really sure, so, maybe. I mean, I basically told you I was done as far as the relationship goes until you told me everything. But

It had been several days since Dominique left, and I needed to get ahead of the situation with Jacob and his pack. I went to the club close to closing and waited for Tim. I needed to know for sure what was going on, and since he knew more about Jacob and what he was demanding than anyone else, he would tell me. I needed to know how to protect Dominique. Once I saw everyone come out, I rolled my window down. Sitting almost beside Tim’s car, I didn’t want anyone else to know I was there. He walked over to his car, but I knew he had scented me. He got in his car and waited until Melissa and Post left. Then, he walked over to my car and didn’t look happy. “What are you doing here?” “We need to talk about Dominique and Jacob.” “There’s nothing to talk about. I’m handling it.” “Tim, we are both just trying to protect Dominique. I could do that a lot better if I knew what the real situation was.” “I feel like a lot is going on, but Jacob keeps me out of it. Probably because he doesn’

Being a vampire had its perks. I compelled the guy I hired to check things out and not to tell anyone but me what he’d found out. He could be my eyes and ears since I couldn’t go out during the day or get close to the wolves. He got some excellent information for me. It seems Jacob was not only a nuisance to me but to wolves in general. It turns out that Jacob had a feud with a neighboring pack. Yes, Jacob was bad news all the way around. Not only had he poached members of the neighboring pack, but he had also moved onto their territory as far as his businesses. Some of his pack members were drug dealers, which was not allowed in the White Moon pack territory. Jacob’s people had been selling drugs there for a long time. The neighboring Alpha had warned Jacob that he would continue to kill his people if he found them, but Jacob hadn’t reigned them in. Every once in a while, he would have his enforcer do something as an example, but then he would let it go after that because it broug

  • Nathaniel   Chapter 33

When the two weeks were over, I received a text from Dominique. She was back home. I had waited to talk to her, but this had been killing me. Finally, she said she would come to my house if I wanted to talk. I answered her immediately as I wanted to see her. I was also anxious as I had seen the pictures she had uploaded. I was not too fond of how that man had been all over her. I wondered if she had done anything with him while she was there. I could feel it when Dominique pulled in. I knew she was here, and I was trying my best to be patient and wait for her to come in. I heard the door of her car open and close. I was nervous, to say the least. Tonight would be the night I either lost her or gained the love of my life forever. I walked over and opened the door when she didn’t come in. I smiled as I heard her heartbeat get a little faster. At least she was happy to see me, although she was also nervous. I pulled her against me and kissed her. I couldn’t help it as I had missed her

Dominique walked up to me and looked into my eyes. It was almost as if she was looking straight into my soul. She placed her hand on the side of my face and kissed me. When she broke the kiss, she tilted her head and guided my head down to her neck. I hesitated at first but then plunged my fangs into her neck. I began to drink from her. I began to drink deeply when I tasted her blood, and a groan left me. I was going to have her with me forever. But something was wrong. Her blood was wrong. I jerked back as I realized it was not just her blood that I was tasting. Dominique stumbled and gasped in pain. Her hand flew up to her neck to cover the wound, which was still bleeding. I flew into a rage and punched a hole into the wall. Then, I started throwing things around. I had waited so long, so long to finally have her. “Nathaniel! What in the hell is wrong with you?” Dominique yelled. I tried to calm down, but my rage was taking over. I finally had my long-lost love back; now, she w

“Yes. I have heard you tell Nathaniel that the voice sounds like a mixture of mine and Alpha’s. That is why. I know that’s not what you wanted to hear, Dom. But you had to have known. The things I have said have been from a man’s point of view. Alpha was Luna’s mate, yes, but he thinks of you as his mate and would talk to you as his mate. I’m talking to you as your husband would. Please don’t feel bad about this, Dom. I feel lucky that I have spent this extra time with you.”I couldn’t help it. I started to cry. I had wondered about the voice but hoped I was wrong. I’d held Tim’s soul in that stone all this time. He hadn’t been at peace but had been trapped in a stone. The kids would never forgive me if they found out the truth. I wasn’t sure if I could forgive myself at this point. I was so selfish.

I walked over to where the driver was placing my bags onto a luggage trolley and took my wallet from my purse. I handed him 20 euros, and he thanked me. I smiled and walked back to the desk. The clerk gave me the room key and my ID. I thanked him and walked over to the elevator. The porter got on with me, and we went to the room. He must have thought it odd that I didn’t give him the bag from my back, but I ignored his strange looks. Once we got to the room, he unloaded the luggage onto the luggage racks, and I tipped him. He smiled and thanked me before exiting the room. I placed the bag on the bed and put my purse on the nightstand. The curtains were wide open, so I walked over to the windows and closed them. The room wasn’t pitch dark, but the sun wasn’t hitting directly on the bed. I walked over and unzipped the bag.

I woke up when the announcement about our landing came on. I was still cuddling Nathaniel in the bag. I sighed and sat up. I walked over to the seats and hooked my seatbelt. Once the plane landed, I grabbed the bag from the couch and was surprised it didn’t feel heavy. I must still have my strength, but it was awkward when I first tried lifting the bag. I put my hand in my pocket and felt the stone. I felt the energy coming off it and knew it would be glowing if I took it out. I didn’t realize how much it hurt Nathaniel that I always had the stone. I thought he understood that it was a part of Tim and that I wasn’t ready to let go of Tim just yet. I suppose being with him in every way that mattered in a relationship made him

  • Nathaniel   Chapter 90

“You could have offered to let me be your human servant and then allowed me to live my life with Tim, but you didn’t. Instead, you took what you wanted without a second thought about what I would think or feel about it. That made me angry, and I wanted to hurt you, so I went to Tim. I chose him automatically. If I had been rational about the situation, I would have sat you both down and had a conversation about it all, but I didn’t.” “Then I cut you out completely later on. I had no reason to do that as Tim knew I wasn’t with you and that I was being faithful to him. But I wanted him to be positive about it, and frankly, I wasn’t sure if I could be completely faithful if I continued to have a relationship with you. I always thought about you and had to push those thoughts and feelings away while I was with Tim.&

  • Nathaniel   Chapter 89

“Are you excited, Dominique?” I asked. “Very. I can’t wait to get there and meet Barnaby and Victoria. I also can’t wait to see your home and for you to show me places I know I didn’t see when I came to England the last time.” “When you came to England before, did you feel my presence more than usual?” “I felt like you were closer, but I was always trying to ignore the pull I had to find you. I wanted to enjoy being here with Tim.” I could tell something was off with Dominique when she mentioned Tim, but I tried to ignore it. This was our vacation, and I was grateful she took it with me. I had asked her to leave the stone at home, and she had been reluctant to agree, but she eventually said she would. I watched her body language and how she kept her hand in her jacket pocket. Had she actually left it? “Dominique, what are you hiding?” “I don’t know what you mean.” I tapped into her thoughts and she was thinking about miscellaneous things. This made me even more suspicious. Sh

“Any interesting conversations so far? It’s been a few weeks,” Ewan said. Carson looked at Ewan and responded, “The vampire had a conversation with someone named Nathaniel about coming to England. I think it’s the other vampire we have been looking for. It would explain why we could never find him no matter where we looked. He hasn’t even been here. He did mention that he couldn’t wait to see him and Dominique.” “Did you say Nathaniel?” Ewan asked rather excitedly. “Yes, sir. Is there some significance to that name?”

Dominique began to sway her body against mine. I mimicked her movements and began to take my shirt off. I slowly unbuttoned my shirt as I rolled my hips. Her hands slid down my chest and pulled it free from my pants. I grinned and showed her my fangs as she slid the shirt off my shoulders. I winked at her and gently pushed her back onto the bed.I slowly reached for the fastening on my slacks and unhooked it. I knew by her scent that she was getting turned on. However, I refused to let her touch me. I slowly moved away from the bed while unzipping my slacks. I rolled my slacks down over my hips while revealing tight black briefs.Glancing up at Dominique, I noticed her looking down at the bulge in my briefs. She slowly looked at me, licking her lips. I can see the pulse point at the base of her neck fluttering, and

“I’m sure they will, Dominique. I just wonder sometimes if you will be happy with me after a hundred years together. I know it won’t be easy since you are still not used to sleeping with me. I hope to overcome that obstacle one day and get you into a sleep pattern that allows us to be together.”“Sometimes, we will need to be apart so we don’t get sick of each other. I can always go out alone and spend some time with myself. Then we won’t get tired of being together or run out of things to say.”“You will come to realize that we don’t need to say anything for me to be happy to be with you. Our bond makes us want to be around each other all the time. You will feel the distance and the urge to return to me when you are away from me. I do not expect you to do this, but I want you to know.”

  • Nathaniel   Chapter 85

“Dominique, I want to review the plan again to ensure we have it down.” “Okay, Nathaniel. It’s pretty straightforward, though, so I don’t think we need to.” “I just want to make sure you are okay with the plan. There can’t be any mistakes, and I need to know that you can handle my weight.” “Right before you pass out for the day, you will slip into a duffle bag that is big enough to curl up in. Then when we arrive in England, I will take the bag with me as my luggage. There will be a car waiting for us, and I will give them the instructions on how to get to your house. Once we are there, I will place you in the bedroom where you can wake up refreshed. But won’t they check our luggage?” “No. All luggage is checked before you leave. They will just think you grabbed your luggage. I worry that you can not carry me. You no longer have the strength of your wolf.” “I’m still stronger than the average human thanks to being your servant.” “It must look like you have a regular bag, not on
