Chapter Nine: Do you like her?

2022-11-10 06:05:32Damien groaned as he woke up, he touched his head and he felt something so he removed it and he saw it was a towel then he dropped it.
He sat up and was shocked to see Sylvia beside him.
"What's she doing here?" He thought as he tapped her and she woke up.
"Good morning" she muttered.
"What are you doing here?" He voiced out his thoughts.
"You were drunk, so I..."
"How does that answer the question?" He frowned.
"You don't remember?" Sylvia asked.
"Is there something I ought to remember?" He furrowed his brows.
"Errr..no sir, I would take my leave now" Sylvia said and stood up then she walked out of the room.
"Remember? Hope I didn't do anything stupid" Damien muttered to himself and stood up from the bed, he went to bathroom to have his bath.
After taking his bath, he walked out of the bathroom and put on a casual wear since today was Sunday and would not be going to work.
He walked back to his bed and sat on it.

IN THE KITCHEN
'He does not remember anything" Sylvia said to herself as she prepared breakfast, she had already had her bath and is now preparing breakfast.
When she was done making breakfast, she took it to the dining and arranged it on the table then she went upstairs to call them down for breakfast.
After calling the children, she went to Damien's room. She hesitated before knocking on the door.
"Come in" his thick voice said from inside and she opened the door and went in.
"Sir, breakfast is ready" she informed.
"Okay" Damien simply replied and Sylvia was about walking away when he stopped her "Wait"
She turned to look at him "Yes"
"About yesterday, I am sorry..it was a mistake and I was drunk" he said, it seems he now remembers what happened yesterday night.
"I know you were drunk, but can you please stop saying cause you keep saying it" Sylvia frowned and walked out of the room.
She didn't know when tears fell from her eyes, she was hurt cause he saw everything as a mistake.
"Why am I even crying? What was I expecting from him? That he should see me and kiss me again" Sylvia said inwardly and wiped her tears then she went downstairs.
The kids were already sitting on the dining chair and Sylvia made to serve them but Kathy stopped her.
"Wait, where is my dad?" She asked and Damien walked in at that time.
"I'm here" he said.
"Good morning Daddy" Flora giggled and pecked her forehead "Morning baby"
"Queen" Damien also pecked Kathy's forehead.
"Morning daddy" Kathy smiled.
"Champ" Damien ruffled Freddie's hair and sat down, Freddie smiled.
Sylvia dished the food and sat down, they started eating.
While they were eating Marcus came in.
"Hey people" Marcus smiled as he walked to them.
"Uncle Marcus" Freddie smiled.
"Hi champ" Marcus said and shaked hands with him.
"Hey drunkie" Marcus grinned at Damien and he glared at him.
Marcus chuckled and sat down.
"Morning pretty" Marcus smiled at Sylvia.
"Good morning sir" Sylvia smiled back.
"It's Marcus not sir" Marcus winked and she nodded. She stood up wanting to dish food for him but he stopped her.
"No need for that, I will do it myself" Marcus said and she sat down back, Marcus served his self and they continued eating.
When they were done, the kids went upstairs to the game room while Damien moved to the sitting room.
It was only Sylvia and Marcus left in the dining so Sylvia began packing the dishes.
"Let me help you" Marcus offered and tried packing the dishes bit she stopped him.
"No need, I can do it myself" Sylvia smiled.
"No, I wish to help you, so let me do it" Marcus smiled.
"Thanks, but seriously I can do it myself" Sylvia smiled.
"Okay if you say so" Marcus winked.
Damien scoffed from where he was watching and Marcus walked to him.
"Hey bro"
"Why were you flirting with her?" Damien frowned.
"Do you have a problem with that? Or do you like her?" Marcus furrowed his brows.
"Of course not" Damien rolled his eyes and Marcus eyed him.
"If you say so, is she still avoiding you?" Marcus sat down beside him.
"Yeah and I kissed her yesterday" Damien muttered.
"Wow, seems you like her lips" Marcus wiggled his brows teasingly.
"Come on, I was drunk" Damien groaned.
"Really, are you sure you don't like her? I mean she is hot and beautiful so I don't see any reason why you don't" Marcus smirked.
"I don't like her, I can't" Damien sighed.
"And why can't you?" Marcus asked.
"Cause.." Damien was saying but he stopped when Freddie came in.
"Uncle Marcus come and play with us" Freddie said.
"Okay let's go" Marcus replied and Freddie started dragging him away. Marcus looked back and winked at Damien and he scoffed.
Sylvia came out of the kitchen and wanted to go upstairs when Damien went to her.
"Sylvia" he said and she stopped.
"Hey, I'm sorry..for kissing you without your permission, can you please forgive me and stop avoiding me?" He said.
"It's fine" Sylvia said lowly, her heart was beating so fast that she fears he might be able to hear it.
"Thanks" he said and his eyes moved to her lips, he swallowed his spit; her lips were looking so tempting that he felt like kissing them again and he didn't know when he started leaning.
"Ahem" someone cleared his throat and Damien pulled back and they looked to see Flora staring at them.
"Oh..I need to go now" Sylvia said nervously and quickly rushed upstairs.
"What are you doing here?" Damien asked Flora.
"I came to get water" Flora replied.
"Okay" Damien nodded and Flora walked into the kitchen, she walked out seconds later with a bottle of water in her hand.
"See you" Flora smiled at Damien and went upstairs while Damien went back to sitting on the sofa.
He started watching TV.
SYLVIA'S ROOM
Sylvia jumped on the bed in her room.
"Gosh! Am going crazy" she said inwardly and took her phone, she dialled Bianca's line and she picked.
"Hey babe" Bianca said.
"Hi, I'm falling in love" Sylvia muttered.
"Finally, so who is the lucky guy?" Bianca asked.
"It's my boss" Sylvia replied.
"Err..your boss, Damien?" Bianca said.
"Yeah and we've kissed twice" Sylvia giggled.
"Wow, it has gotten to that"
"Yeah..."
