Chapter Eight: Drunk

Sylvia was coming out of the bathroom, she just had her bath when her phone rang and so she went to bed and took her phone, it was her mum calling so she picked.
"Hi mum" Sylvia mumbled.
"My baby girl, how are you doing?" Mrs Blanco asked from the other line.
"I'm fine, how are you also doing?" Sylvia asked back.
"I'm good, it is just that I miss you" Mrs Blanco pouted.
"I miss you too" Sylvia sighed.
"So how is your job"
"It's fine" Sylvia muttered.
"I hope those kids are not stressing you out?" Mrs Blanco asked.
"Well..what can I do" Sylvia sighed.
"If they stress you out too much, tell me and I would spank them, okay" Mrs Blanco frowned.
"I've heard you mum" Sylvia chuckled.
"Okay, come and see me one of this days, cause I've missed you so much"
"I would do that" Sylvia giggled.
"You better do" Mrs Blanco rolled her eyes.
"Okay mum, I will see you later"
"Okay baby, I love you" Mrs Lucia smiled.
"I love you too" Sylvia said and cut the call, she dropped the phone back on the bed and walked to the closet, she took out a black joggers and a green top then she put it on.
She took her phone from the bed and walked out of the room heading downstairs. She bumped into something and she looked up, she gasped when she saw it was Damien and she tried walking away but Damien held her.
"Won't you say sorry?" Damien asked.
"Sorry" Sylvia muttered and tried walking away again but he held her.
"Are you avoiding me?" Damien asked.
"No I'm not" she replied without looking at his face.
"You say you are not, but you are avoiding my eyes" he said.
"I'm not " she said still not looking at him and he frowned then held her waist and drew her closer.
"Really! Then look at me" he said and forced her to look at him.
"Is it about the kiss? I already said am sorry" he muttered.
"You are sorry? I already know that" Sylvia spat and forcefully freed herself from him then walked away while Damien sighed and walked into his room.
Sylvia didn't know why, but she was just angry that he was sorry, that the kiss didn't mean anything to him, though it was not supposed to mean anything but she just felt bad and sad.
EVENING
Damien was in his room, doing something on his laptop when his phone rang and he took the phone, when he saw it was Marcus, his best friend, he picked.
"Hey bro!!" Marcus yelled and Damien quickly removed the phone from his ear.
"Do you want to damage my ear?" Damien asked when he put the phone back on his ear and Marcus laughed.
"Maybe, bro let's meet" Marcus said.
"Where?" Damien asked.
"J and J bar" Marcus replied.
"Okay, I will be there" Damien said and cut the call. He stood up and walked to his closet, he changed his clothes, took his phone and walked out of the room.
When he got downstairs, he met Sylvia there.
"I'm going out" he informed and she nodded, he went out of the house to the parking lot where he got into one of his cars and drove out.

Damien drove into the parking lot of J and J bar, parked his car well and got out. He walked into the bar and all eyes fell on him.
"It's the handsome CEO"
"Gosh! He is so cute"
"I love you"
Murmurs came from different parts of the bar but Damien ignored them and eye searched for Marcus.
He saw Marcus waving at him from the VIP part of the bar, so he walked there.
"What's up man" Marcus said and they did the bro handshake then Damien sat down.
"Why did you say we should meet up?" Damien asked.
"Nothing, just wanna hangout" Marcus shrugged and sipped from his drink, Damien nodded.
"I think I need it and also a drink, bartender" Damien called and a bartender came to them.
"Yes sir"
"Get me a bottle of vodka" Damien ordered.
"Okay sir" the bartender bowed and went to get his order.
Soon, the bartender came back with his order, he poured some of the contents of the vodka in a glass and walked away.
Damien took the glass and sipped from it.
"So how is work?" Marcus asked.
"Fine" Damien sighed.
"What's wrong?" Marcus asked.
"It's my kids nanny..." Damien was saying but Marcus cut him off.
"Wait, a nanny?" Marcus asked.
"Yeah" Damien replied.
"You didn't tell me you employed a new nanny" Marcus said.
"I forgot to" Damien replied.
"Okay, so what about the nanny?" Marcus furrowed his brows.
"Errr...we kissed" Damien replied.
"Woah! You kissed? Is she that hot?" Marcus asked leaning closer.
"Be serious" Damien rolled his eyes.
"Okay, so you kissed?" Marcus rested back on his chair.
"Yeah, but she is avoiding me now" Damien muttered.
"Well, that Is... I don't know, but why did you kiss her?" Marcus questioned.
"I don't know man, I just wanted to" Damien replied and Marcus just chuckled.
They kept on drinking till Damien became drunk.
"F*** you are drunk" Marcus said.
"I'm not" Damien replied drunkenly.
"You are and now I have to drive you home" Marcus muttered and stood up, he went to Damien and helped him up.
"I still wanna drink" Damien groaned.
"You can't, let's go" Marcus said and helped him out of the bar, to Damien's car. He put him in the back seat and also got in the driver's seat then drove out of the bar.
Minutes later, they got to Damien's mansion and Marcus got down from the car and went to the back seat then got Damien out of the car. He started walking to the door with Damien though with much struggle, he pressed the door bell and Sylvia quickly opened the door, she gasped.
"What happened to him?" she asked as she moved from the door and Marcus went inside.
"He is drunk" Marcus simply replied and walked up to Damien's room. He laid him on the bed and stood straight then faced Sylvia
"Hi, I'm Marcus, his best friend and I guess you are the nanny" Marcus smiled.
"Yeah, I'm Sylvia" Sylvia said.
"Nice name, I need to go now" Marcus said.
"Okay, let me see you off" Sylvia said and Marcus went out while she followed him.
"Good night" Marcus said when they got to the door.
"Good night" Sylvia replied and Marcus nodded and went out of the house. Sylvia went back to Damien's room, she touched his forehead and it was hot so she walked to the bathroom and took a bowl which she filled with water and a towel.
She walked back to the bed and started using the towel on him and when she was done she tried leaving but he held her hand.
"Sylvia" he called sleepily.
"Yeah" she answered and he drew her closer then smashed his lips on hers.
"Don't leave" he muttered and slept off and when she tried to release herself from his grip, she couldn't so she laid on the bed and it didn't take long before she slept off.
