EMILY'S POV "How can you say you don't love me anymore?" Emily asked her husband, Dan, who was too engrossed in his phone to notice her tears. "I can't hide it anymore, Cheryl is pregnant with my child, and I love her. It's best we get divorced," Dan said, his voice devoid of emotions. Cheryl? My colleague and friend? How could they do this to me? "I'm pregnant too, Dan," Emily tried to say, but he walked out of the room, leaving her stunned. The air was thick with tension. Emily felt like she was trapped in a nightmare. This had to be a prank, right? Dan returned with a file and pen. "These are the divorce papers, already signed by me. You need to leave now; Cheryl will be moving in soon."He said emotionless , Emily laughed, thinking it was a joke. "Hahaha… Cheryl, you guys got me here! This is the most realistic prank ever!" Emily looked around the hospital , this wasn't like the hospital Dan normally take her to, this place looks ancient. She was still looking around when she heard hushed whispers. "Make sure you terminate the pregnancy. She isn't going to know; tell her she lost the baby, and that's all." A familiar voice whispered. Emily recognized the voice; it was Cheryl, how did Cheryl know she was here and why is she trying to kill my baby?. "She's a mistress trying to take my husband. A few minutes later a doctor entered the room, followed by a nurse. "We've carried out tests; the baby is in critical condition." Emily asked, trying to stay calm, "Did you know who brought me to the hospital?" The doctor hesitated. "We didn't get to see the person." "You need to take these for your child's health." Emily pretended to swallow the pills but she secretly put the pill under her tongue then drank the water A lawyer arrived with divorce papers.
