Tricia POV Early in the afternoon, my eyes closed to rest a bit, but Cherry walked into the room. "You want to sleep," she said. "No, just a bit of rest," I said, and she nodded. She left me for some minutes, but I didn't find rest. Finally, my eyes closed, and I had a horrific dream. In the dream, we went to Morgan's house with Alex. Out of anger, Morgan attacked Alex while Alex attacked Morgan. I also was attacked by Cherry because of Alex, and I also attacked Cherry. Waking up, I let out a scream, and Cherry ran in to join me. "What's wrong?" She asked. The first thing I did was to take my hand away from her, and she let out a sigh. "You heard a terrible dream," she said. I didn't answer any of her questions, but she didn't act upset. After much pestering, I relayed my dream to her, and she smiled. "Do not believe that," she said. "You dreamt of that, because of what we said." "What did we say?" I asked "If we die, we die," she said. I didn't know what else to say
Cherry POV True to Tricia's word, no one came to my house. It has been two days since we last went out. "Tricia!" I called. "Yes, Cherry," Tricia answered. I was on my phone when a message popped up. It made me smile, but I knew what it meant. It should have been sent by one of Morgan's men. I showed Tricia the message, and she showed no emotion. You can never tell if she is sad, or happy. "We need to tread carefully today," I said. Our plan was to take Alex to Morgan the next day but at our time. From what I saw, Morgan's men wanted to roughly search every individual. "I guess I will put on my mask," Tricia said, and I nodded. "Moreover, I will be going out, but you won't come with me," I said. I could see that Tricia wanted to protest but later nodded. "Keep your mask on," I said, and she nodded. I would be going to Alex's house to remind him about our plan for the next day. We would be using his car, and Tricia would lead the way. Thankfully, Tricia said that she reme
Cherry POV The next day, I sat on my bed, deliberating on how the day was going to be. Nervousness got the best of me. I thought of Alex, our love, and Tricia. I won't worry about Alex, now my consideration is about Tricia. I was done dressing up and walked to the kitchen. I took up two eggs, broke one, and winked in a bowl, then poured it into a pot. When it was done, I did the same for my sister. I placed one in a bread and ate, then the other in another bread. "Tricia!" I called, getting to her room. I couldn't see her, and this made me more nervous. Soon, she walked out of the bathroom, smiling. She was also dressed. "Here, you can eat," I said, giving her a bread with drink. Done eating, we sat on our bed, discussing on how the day would be. "You don't look happy," Tricia said, and I smiled a little. "Let me know what is wrong." "I will let my love go," I said. Tricia shook her head, looking at me, pitifully. "I know how painful that can be," she said. "It's just l
Tricia POV Morgan led us upstairs, and I smiled. Thankfully, my sister is here which might be the reason he doesn't want me to stay down. While walking up, I heard the ground room door open, and a young lady came out. I continued staring at her beauty, but Cherry gave me a tap. "What's wrong?" Cherry asked, and I pointed to the lady. "It looks like he has been cheating," I said."Don't yet conclude, she looks younger," Cherry said. I nodded and turned to follow Cherry upstairs. Morgan stopped on his track and flashed a smile at the lady. "Good day, ladies," the lady said, and I huffed. Cherry smiled at this action of mine. "Who here is Tricia?" The young lady asked. "I am," I said. I wanted to tell her that I was the lady of the house, but I stopped. I didn't want to be the lady of the house. Neither do I want to get back to Morgan. "You will see them later," Morgan said, and the lady nodded. We followed Morgan, and he asked if I would like to sleep in his room, to whic
Morgan POV I woke up early in the morning and saw Theresa preparing some prime soup. We all knew that prime soup was always made specially for people with a problem, or pregnant women. Anyway, I excused myself from the kitchen, as she made the soup. She brought it out, and I let out a sigh. "Did Drake in any way injure you?" I asked, and she shook her head. Last night, before dispersing to the house that he is meant to be, Drake practiced a little with Theresa. Although they still had the sparkle of love, they trained so well. "Who then are you taking it to?" I asked. "Tricia," she said. Just mentioning the name Tricia made me smile. I remembered how she looked at Theresa on the last day. She feels that I am dating Theresa. "Do you think she would accept it?" I asked, and she looked on. "I don't know," she said. "But let me give her this." "Alright," I said, getting up. "Then I will accompany you." Theresa looked at me for some minutes, then nodded. Together, we walked
Tricia POV The revelation that I just got was terrifying. Alex was formally into robbery. I wanted more information, but Morgan chose not to give me anymore. "I can only show you pictures of the ones your father murdered, and those whom your brother drove to their graves," he said, and I sobbed. Although I sobbed, I chose to see who it was that my brother killed, and Morgan chose to show me when we got home. We sat in the car, and it drove till we reached home. Getting home, Cherry's eyes were red as she sat on the couch. Morgan fulfilled his promise by bringing out some pictures to me. "Have a look at all of them," he said and left. I began to shuffle through the pictures, and my eyes finally caught a picture. I remembered seeing the person, burning. Then, it looked like he was tired of life. Father and Alex sent me away from looking at him. It was the worst, and horrible race I had seen. Cherry joined me later, and I chose not to tell her, but she pestered me to tell her.
Tricia POV "If you scream, no one is going to help you," Morgan said. "I am going to look for that bastard who laid his hand on you." "A bastard?" I asked. "There is no bastard here, Morgan. You are my baby's father." I said. "How? What do you mean?" He asked. Tears started dropping from my face. Gosh!, I hate to love this man. "You are the father of my baby," I said. "That's all you should know, but I want a divorce." I started hitting on the door. "No one can hear you hit on the door," Morgan said, and I smiled. He turned me over to him and held my hands to the wall. "I love you so much, Tricia," he said. "Leaving me bore a hole in my heart." "You are hurting me," I said as his grip on my hand was tight. He left my hands, telling me that he was sorry, but before I could tell him anything, he covered my mouth with a kiss. "Please, let me know who the father of the baby is," he said. "Will you divorce me? Keep your promise," I said. Only now, did I see tears come out f
Tricia POV Waking up in the morning, I felt happy and walked out of the room. "Good morning," I heard someone greet me as I walked down. It was Theresa. "Good morning," I said, adjusting my eyes to see. Theresa was dusting the chair, although she was dressed in a sports attire. "Why are you dressed like this?" I asked her. "I'm going for sport with the Boss," she said. I took in a deep breath and walked to sit on one of the couches. Morgan walked down and asked if Theresa was ready. I felt sad, seeing that he didn't spare to glance at me even though Theresa pointed to me. They both jogged out, leaving me to suck in my pain. "I am strong," I said to myself and walked up. Cherry should still be asleep as we don't stay awake by this time. She always got up before me, but not today. Walking up the stairs, I miscalculated my footsteps and almost fell. I covered my mouth so that I wouldn't wake Cherry, and I stabilized my footsteps. My heart beat irrationally, and I let out
Morgan POV I remembered the picture that I held the last day. Rivers was Theresa's brother. "You are awake," Tricia said. I smiled and gave her a peck on her forehead. My gaze went to Ethan's bed. "Our son is soundly asleep," I said. She laughed and told me how she had to keep Ethan down last night. "He is becoming more stubborn," she said. "Then I will take care of it," I said. I walked to Ethan when I sensed that he was awake. "Ethan, you are to take your bath now," He used his legs to hit my hand and smiled looking at his mother. Tricia smiled when she saw what Ethan did. I raised him to my arms and he struggled to get free. "Here we are," I said as I placed him in the bathtub. We played a little before I had his bath. "Today, I want to take us out for a fun time," I said as I walked out of the bathroom with Ethan. "Should we take our bath together?" Tricia asked. I didn't expect her to say that so I was a bit surprised. "We can't," I said thinking of how it wo
Morgan POV Two months had passed, and it was the day for Rivers's burial. He died a month ago. We all wore black as we stood by his grave. "Rivers, my brother, I remembered how you were," I said. Tricia stood beside me and held a flower. Drake and Theresa had come from their college to grace this occasion. He stepped forward with a flower and placed it on the grave. Tricia supported me but I couldn't help but feel angry. Why didn't he tell us what was happening to him? If it wasn't for Drake, we wouldn't have known about his issues. I held onto Tricia as I watched others walk to keep their flowers on Rivers grave. As the boss, my wife and I were to go last. We walked towards the grave to drop our flowers when they were done. I suggested that we should celebrate Rivers life in a restaurant. They accepted, and we left for a nearby restaurant. Our time of mourning was over, Rivers had been buried and now, life moves on. "Good morning," I heard a lady's voice while we were in
Tricia POV I chose to be stubborn even though Ethan's cry filled my heart. "Ethan, go to your father," I said. Morgan looked at Ethan, who held onto his leg. I could see him smiling and this gave me confidence to walk to him. Before I could say a word, Morgan slapped me. I felt extremely sad and my cheek stung. I looked around and saw people staring at us. This broke my heart and I left with Ethan. Entering the car, I told my driver to move. Maybe I was stupid when he slapped me. I stood there and looked angrily at him instead of pulling my gun on him. This idea made me smile. We got up and I walked up with Ethan, ignoring Felicia's call. In the room, I placed my phone on the side table while Ethan walked to his bed. Looking at my phone, I saw two missed calls and one voice message, they were all from Morgan. Taking a deep breath, I clicked on the voice message. In it, he pleaded with me and said that he would search for Cherry when his mood gets lighter. "Don't plead
Tricia POV I waited for Felicia to be done with whatever she was doing before I called my driver. "You didn't need to wait for me," she said. I told her that since it was our first day to come together, I chose to leave with her. "Alright," she said and brought out her phone. She asked if we could take her to the house she lived in with her husband. "What would you like to take there?" I asked. "A lot, just don't worry," she said. Soon, the car arrived and we got in and sat like sisters. Felicia directed us on our movement. "Stop!" She said when we got to a gate. I wanted to come with her into the house but she declined. Five minutes later, I got worried as I didn't see her come out so I decided to go in. "I will be back soon," I said to the driver. "Should I accompany you?" He asked. I remembered what Morgan told me about my driver but no, I couldn't allow him in. "No, don't worry," I said to him. This could scare Felicia. I felt safe as I was with my gun and could
Tricia POV Miranda greeted Felicia but didn't take her eyes off her. Soon, the day was clear, and Morgan decided to get Felicia a few things. Felicia behaved awkwardly, but I guessed she wasn't used to being treated the way we did. The doorbell rang, and I saw Felicia shake. "Felicia!" I called. "Don't be scared. I walked to open the door as it seemed like the person was an outsider. It was a delivery man. He asked if I was Felicia or Mrs. Bliss and later gave me a package. "Mr. Bliss told me to deliver this to Felicia Bliss," he said after I signed and then left. I called Felicia and asked her to check it out. "Who is it from?" She asked. "Morgan," I said. Felicia opened the box and looked through everything. "Where is Morgan?" She asked. "I do not know," I said. As soon as those words left my mouth, the door flew open and Morgan stepped in. "Thank you, Morgan," Felicia said. I asked him where he was but he ignored by going out. It's been long since he last ignored
Tricia POV While we were in the restaurant, I held Felicia's hand. "What are you doing, Mrs. Bliss?" She asked me. "Quit the formality," I said. "Call her sister-in-law," Morgan said making me blush. "But I am not...," she was saying. I placed a hand on her lips as I knew what she wanted to say. She might not be related to Morgan by blood, but they had a bond when they were young. I wanted to feel like I knew someone from Morgan's family. We left the restaurant when we were done eating. Miguel drove to the group's house and I wondered why he did that. "Hold on," we said to Felicia as we got out of the car. Morgan advised that I locked all the doors for the safety of Felicia. She wasn't a member of the group so there was no need for her to come along with us. Getting into the car, I saw Felicia's head buried in her lap. It felt like she was weeping. "Felicia!" I called. Morgan turned back and looked at us. "You should let her be," he said. "She is going t
Morgan POV After taking my bath, I walked down with my family. My phone began to ring, it was Johnny. He asked me about my plans to get Mr. Adolf to confess. "Felicia chose the surname of her foster parent rather than her husband's name," I said. "It means that she isn't happy with him." I looked away from the phone and then thought for a while before speaking. "I will go in as a commoner," I said. "What if he knows who you are?" Johnny asked. He could say nothing to stop me. The only thing that they can do is to follow me. "How many would be coming?" I asked. "Five," he said. "Names?" He mentioned five names, but why wasn't Alonso included? "Alonso?" I asked. "He has a business ordeal," he replied. I sighed knowing that I had never interfered in their personal business. "Alright, come along with Maxwell," I said and ended the call. Tricia placed a hand on my shoulder. "I trust you to bring justice," I smiled hearing this and kissed her hand. "I am forever grateful
Tricia POV The week passed as quick as possible and we were in a new week. I woke up and took Ethan to bath. It has been a struggle to take his bath ever since I got home from being kidnapped. "Ethan, be easy," I screamed. He was stubborn, and I guess he got that trait from his father. Turning back, I saw Morgan glaring at me. "I can take care of him," Morgan said. "Alright," I said handing Ethan's towel to him. I walked down as I didn't want to hear Ethan's scream. Thirty minutes later, Morgan walked down with Ethan. "You should go to bath," he said. I nodded and was about to go up when Ethan walked to me and shook his head. He rested his head on me, and I knew that he was sorry for behaving stubbornly. "You should be gentle next time," I said. Morgan laughed and when I asked for the reason he laughed, he said, "You wanted a male child who will behave like me." His words made me smile. I walked up the stairs with a smile on my face. After dressing, I walked down and Mo
Morgan POV We walked into the car and I drove home since Theresa and Drake were going to be less busy for two days. "Ethan!" Theresa called as I drove. Tricia wore a frown on her face. I knew that she was angry with the way I did. Parking the car at a side, I told everyone that Tricia was going to drive the car. Soon, Tricia sat in the driver's seat, and I could hear Ethan hail his mother, although he couldn't speak. It was a slow ride but it was nice. "Let's go to the complex," I said to Tricia. "Why?" She asked trying her best to keep her eyes focused on the road. It looked funny that she was trying to behave like me. This was the reason she was slow. "You aren't a master so keep your gaze low," I said to her. "Alright," she said. Taking my advice, her driving was a little bit faster. "To the complex," I said. We got to the complex, and Tricia held my hands before I got out of the car. "Who are you here to see?" She asked. I knew that she knew that I wasn't going t
