Emelda's POV

“Well, well, well," the very familiar voice said, the words dripping with disdain as I turned to see my stepsister Natasha standing there, a smirk on her face as she surveyed the scene before her.

“Natasha," I said, my voice cool and detached as I met her gaze, my body tensing as I tried to keep my emotions in check.

"What are you doing, Cinderella? Shopping for a prince?" She mocked, her hands rolling her brown hair. "Do you have some balls to attend, CinderEmelda?"

As she spoke, I felt the heat rising in my cheeks, the old wounds of our relationship reopening as I struggled to find the right words to respond.

“Not now, Natasha.” I uttered, taking my gaze off her to focus on the rack of dresses in front of me.
