Hazel's POV
Pain.As soon as I try to open my eyes, those are the words that immediately come into my mind.I groan as I open my eyes slowly. I could feel the skin on my forehead throbbing. I touch my head slowly, and groan in pain as I feel the small bandage that is plastered on my forehead.“Ouch-” I hissed in pain.I sigh as I remembered how I fell down last night. One of the guys that were busy hitting each other's faces last night bumped on my back as I was standing in the middle of the scene.I really should take note of this matter. This would be the last time that I would ever do what I did last night.I mean where did I even get the courage to do that? Being in the crowd still has that effect on me, and I wonder what possessed me to even think that I could go through all the way by passing that crazy crowd that were punching the hell out of each other.Standing in the middle of a fighting gang? Yeah, genius. How the hell did the fight last night start again?Oh my god. Only then I finally remembered the most crucial part other than bumping into one of the guys. My eyes went wide as I now could remember the details of last night's incident very clearly. The frat house party, the fight-and Jordan.I immediately try to get up from the bed, trying to sit down, and groan in pain again. Ugh!I take a deep breath as I scan the room I am currently in. Where am I?? And most importantly, what the fuck happened last night? No one died right??I was startled as the door suddenly swung open, and let out a sigh of relief as I saw Kat come behind those doors with a glass of water in her hand."Huh, thank god! We nearly brought you to the ER for fuck sakes.."The hospital? Aunt Mary would totally freak out if she found out I am at the ER. No thanks, Kat."Did you bring me to the hospital last night? Please tell me that you don't-""Relax.." Kat assures me, chuckling softly."We didn't, okay? But Jordan insisted on calling a doctor for you.. can't really blame him, you're literally passed out-” Kat sighs, as she scans my forehead.“And bleeding.” She added.“Nah, just a scratch. I'll live..” I joked at her, laughing.“Fuck yes. Can't really have you died at your first campus's party, right?” She also laughs.“But seriously, are you really okay?” Kat looks at me, worried."Yeah, I'm fine, Kat. Look-” I replied, as I stretched out my hands, turning my head left and right for her to see that I'm really okay.“Okay, Okay, got it! Geez-” Kat shakes her head, as she stops me before I do Yoga right in front of her.“Nothing to worry though, I was already not feeling well even before those guys came last night.." I replied, remembering how I throwed up on Jordan's shoes. The booze, and plus the 'topic' that Keira and Keisha argued with last night is also one of the reasons why I blacked out.And yeah, I fell down quite hard to the ground, figured."You should've seen Jordan's face last night.. he's worried sick-"He did?"Which- was by the way a very 'rare sight' as I never knew that he could do that.." Keira adds, laughing."What happened??" I blurted out as Kat took a seat beside the bed."Where's Keisha and Keira??""Keisha had a class, and Keira is still sleeping-" Kat handed me the glass of water, as I looked at her, confused."Drink this first..""Where am I?" I asked, as I took the glass, taking a sip of the water."The frat house..""What???" I nearly spilled the water that I just drank on Kat's face.I slept here?? What the actual fuck?"What-""This is Jordan's room-" Kat cut me off."And don't worry, this is not that typical teens movie where you're too drunk to even remember that you slept with the bad boy, and woke up in his bed.." She finished."What happened last night? The fight?""As soon as you lost consciousness, the police came.. they broke the fight, and since no one died, they just concluded it as the usual drunk-fight between the students..""Thank god.." I let out a sigh of relief. But still, wouldn't it be better if the police locked up all those guys that crashed the party last night?“Here, your clothes. Get change.” She said, handing me the paper bag.I open the paper bag and see a set of my pink underwear, black tight jeans, and a simple dark gray hoodie inside. She must've gone to our dorm to pick this up this morning.“Thanks, Kat!” I yell as she walks towards the door.“Uh-uh. Don't thank me.” She said without even looking back. I could still hear her giggles as she closed the door. What was that supposed to mean?*****************Without even wasting any more minutes inside Jordan's room, as I did wonder where the hell did he sleep last night if his room was occupied by unwanted guests i.e me, I walk down the stairs in a hurry as I hear people talking downstairs. But I know those two voices; Keira's and Kat's.“Oh, there she is, our sleeping beauty.” Roman, who was sitting on the couch, said as he saw me.A sleeping beauty? Totally not me.I just roll my eyes at him, not really interested to talk with him as he is currently with Cole, who is by the way been staring at me with a look that I can't figure out.“The one Jordan talked about?” He asked, with his eyes still on me, and clearly that question is not for me.Oh, Hello? I'm right here. Standing, breathing, and obviously could hear you!“Yup. Hazel. The one, and only.” Kat replied.“Ugh. Stop it.” I groaned. At this rate, I don't even want to know what the hell Jordan told them.“Are you feeling okay?” Keira asks, as I walk towards them, ignoring the fact that I've been successfully being labeled as someone whose ‘Jordan has talked about, the one and only, Hazel.’Screw him for all I care.Kat gives me a glass of orange juice, as I join them to sit on the stool at the kitchen's counter.“I'm okay.. just a scratch.” I said to Keira, gulping down a little bit of the orange juice.“You really scared the hell out of me..” Keira said, as she let out a relief sigh.“Sorry..” I took her hand on mine, as she scanned me, looking at the small plaster on my forehead.“Let's pray that it doesn't leave a scar on your pretty face.” She replied, chuckling. I just snort at her. Getting a little scar on my forehead is not really a main concern for me.“Thanks again for the clothes, Kat.” I said, looking at Kat. I literally just knew her, and I already had caused so much trouble for her.It must be difficult for her to drive back and forth from college back to this frat house in order to bring my clothes.“As I said before, don't thank me dear.. it's Jordan you should really be grateful for.”What?“Jordan? You mean he-” I can't even manage to finish my line.If he was the one who brought back my clothes from the dorm, that means that that matching underwear of mine, the one who chose it, all of it was Jordan??As if knowing what is playing inside my mind, Kat burst out laughing a little.“Relax.. it's not like he hasn't seen any of your underwear-drobe anyway.” She said, whispering at me.“Ugh.. Kat..” I groaned. Keira just watches the two of us in bewilderment, not really knowing what the hell we just talked about.Kat giggles, as Cole glances at me for a second, and turn his head back towards the TV as I look back at him. What is wrong with him?“So, shall we?” I said, as I looked at them both.Let's get the hell out of this place before all the horny frat house's boys wake up. Both Keira and Kat look at me, confused.“Get back to the dorm?” Unsure, I asked.“Oh-” Keira replied, as she gets what I really meant.“I don't really have classes today, so I'm going to hang out here.” Kat replied. Of course she is.I just nodded at Kat, and turned my head to look at Keira.“Roman promised to take me out for breakfast before we go back to college, wanna join?” Keira looked at me.“Yeah, the more, the merrier..” Roman suddenly replied, inviting me to go with them with a smile on his face. Cole just sits there, focusing on the TV.“We could have him send us back to the dorm after that as he will also go to the same destination.” She added, teasing Roman. As much as Keira hated the idea of staying in the dorm, Roman also has the same feeling as her. But that's the rule. Each first year student needs to stay in the college dorm, and could only decide where the hell we want to stay other than dorm when we become a second-year student. But I would just be a nuisance if I go with them. Keira definitely likes Roman. This whole breakfast-drama is maybe just an excuse for a 'date'. Just as I wanted to decline them, someone cut me off.“She's going with me, I'm going to send her back.” Someone who suddenly joined our conversation suddenly said.I turn my head to look at that familiar figure.Oh, great.Hazel's POV“She's going with me, I'm going to send her back.” Standing there, is a very freaking handsome Jordan. Ugh. I snapped out of my own mind that was betraying me.“Who? Hazel?” Kat asked, clearly amused. Her question seems more like teasing me.“Of course she is.” Roman said, grinning like an idiot, as Keira looked at me with a very playful smirk on her face. What the hell is wrong with them?“Yup, Hazel.” Jordan replied, grabbing the glass of orange juice that I just drank.I watch him with wide eyes as I watch him finish that juice in one single gulp. Kat let out a chuckle, as both Roman and Keira let out soft gasps. And Cole, nothing ever bothered him. He's in his own world. Or more like, doesn't really give a fuck about anything related to me. I don't know why but I have the guts to tell me, this guy seems to hate me.“Congrats, Hazel. Your first indirect kiss on your campus life.” Kat whispered to me, which made me roll my eyes at her.Ugh. I groan, as I look at Jordan.
Jordan's POVHazel.. Her name is as beautiful as her face. And most importantly, she's not just a simple girl with a pretty face. She intrigued me like no others. There's just something about her..She's not like other girls. She's different, I know she is. I don't know how, but I have this deep feeling inside that this girl is something else. I always felt like there's a barrier that she put inside herself, shutting her off from reality, which I take as a challenge.Oh, how I love a challenge! The first encounter with her under ‘that’ circumstances is surely not the ideal way of meeting her, for sure. It was her damn panty for God sakes.I'm quite surprised to see her at the party. And that night, I never thought I would worry that much about her. I never thought I would, never in a million times. But still, I did.One thing for sure, I'm quite interested in this one. Glad to know that my college life would get even more entertaining with her in it.I turned my head from looking at
Cole's POVOne thing for sure, she doesn't remember me. Hazel-My Hazel. But can't really blame her though. We were basically a children for fuck sakes. Geez, I'm totally mad.Kat would freak out if he knew Hazel was the one I've been talking about when I was with her. The very reason why I never really into a commited relationship with anyone ever since high school.I was ready to tell Jordan about her- my childhood first love, but I stopped when I heard her name from his mouth. Jordan been talking about her non-stop ever since he met her. I want to denied that they were the same Hazel, but I can't.Deep down I know it's her. The Hazel that Jordan been talking about is really her. And the way he talked about her, it seems like he had no idea at all about who she is.Did Jordan knew Hazel is Aunt Mary's niece? Is that w
Jordan's POV“Stand up, you motherfucker!” I yelled while looking down at him. The bastard even dares to have that smirk on his face even though he's literally laying on the floor.“Damn..” He chuckled, standing up.I glanced back to look at Hazel. Thank god she's okay. Apart from her surprised face, she looks fine.“Well, that was fast.” He added as he faced me, glancing for a second at Hazel's direction who's currently standing behind me.“Yeah, fast enough to beat the hell out of you.” I chuckled.“Tsk tsk tsk.. and here I thought I could have some fun with our Hazel.” Daryl replied, as his eyes focused on Hazel, smirking. This bastard-“Sorry for ruining our lunch date, Hazel.” He added, making my BP hit its peak.“A lunch- what?” I asked, in disbelief, as I let out a sarcastic laugh.Did the bastard just say lunch date?Damn, I'm losing it. He better choose his next word carefully. “Jordan, let's just go back-” Hazel pleaded, as she stood there, behind me. Even without looking b
Hazel's POVAs all of us walked out from the bar, I could see Jordan standing beside his car, looking in our direction while both Cole and Roman were walking towards him. And since both Kat and Keira are also walking towards him, I cannot help myself but to follow them. It's quite difficult for me to face him right now. Not after what he just saw inside there earlier. He saw me. He fucking saw me at my most vulnerable state. And I really hated that. Will he tell everyone about it? Damn it, I can't help myself but to overthink about this.“So, back to campus?” Roman said to Jordan as we were close to him. Roman then looked at Cole, and lastly to our direction.“To be precise, back to the dorm.” Keira sighs dramatically.“I'm still sleepy due to what happened last night at the party, and today, with this whole thing about Hazel getting taken- Geez, I really need my pillow.” Keira whines as she looks at me like someone just stole my candy.Roman laughs at her statement. “Yeah, that's bec
Hazel's POVThe sounds of the lunch's trays that were made when it was being put together with one another, students talking and laughing, queuing up, taking their lunch, playing around, filled the cafe as soon as I set foot inside.I look around the cafe, hoping that Jordan is not here. During my whole avoid-Jordan-at-all-cost mission, I bumped into him a few times, but I always managed to get away before he saw me.There's this one time when I just finished my class for the day, I saw him stand at the corner of the hall, talking with a bunch of guys from the football team. I hide below the table in a heartbeat like a total idiot, waiting for him to get out. Then a few days later after that, I saw him talking with Cole and Aden near the guy's dorm as I was on my way to the campus's small grocery store just right in front of the dorm. I bolted back to the dorm like a lightning, and even fell down to the ground just as I was going into the lift. And don't even get me started about how
Hazel's POV People keep saying that in order to move on, you need to let go. But the thing is, it's not that easy. It never was, and never will. All it took was just one mess. One fucking mess, to change people completely... How I wish to turn back time. I really do. "Hazel..." Aunt Mary's voice brings me back to reality. "Are you sure about this?" "Aunt Mary, we've already talked about this..." I sigh, as I watch her trying to focus on the road. "You better watch it, Ken is going to freak out if you end up at his ER on our first day in town." I add. Kendrick Miller, the CEO of the biggest hospital here in downtown Chicago. I've never met him, but I heard enough from Aunt Mary. The fact that someone like him will be the partner of my aunt, I'm quite thankful, and I wish them nothing but happiness. "Don't you want to stay for a night though? Before you go to the dorm?" She asks, with that hopeful look on her face. "Please??" She adds. "Aunt Mary, I'm just going to stay at th
Hazel's POV Finally, the first day of campus life. All the freshmen are currently enjoying the campus tour, led by a few of our seniors. And since Kat is in her third year, I need to start looking for another cool person who would be nice enough to talk to me first. Making friends; The first things on the bucket list given by the doctor. I let out a deep sigh, already missing Kat's annoying voice. "Yo.." A voice suddenly said from behind me. I turn back to face that very voice. "I'm Keisha." She adds, with a smile. Thank you, lord! "Hazel." I replied, smiling back. "So, campus tour huh." She said with a sigh, as both of us continued to walk, following the crowd of the freshman. "Alright freshies, so for this slot, we're going to divide you into four teams." One of the seniors suddenly said, basically yelling. Figured. With all this crowd, if it was me, I'd be losing my mind already. "The library, registrar's office, fitness center, and the student center-" He continues. "Ug

Hazel's POV It's official. Coming to this frat house party was such a bad idea. Whoever they are, it's obvious that this would end up bad. My eyes are glued on those guys as they are walking towards our direction. "Get inside-" Jordan said, not even looking at me. Is that for me? Is he talking to me right now? "Get inside." He repeated, as I just stood there in silence, debating whether that 'order' is meant for me or someone else. But clearly, he's talking to me. I let out a deep sigh. I don't really have that much energy to argue with him, and I still don't feel that well even though I just threw up on his shoes. But still... I honestly don't like the way he bosses me around tonight. I am not one of those bimbos who would do everything that he says obediently, like he owns me. Never. "Hazel, get inside." He turns his head to look at me, as if he knows exactly what's on my mind right now. "For once, could you please do as I say?" He adds, pleading. I could see the desperat
Hazel's POV Fraternity; that one thing that I've been telling myself to avoid at any costs when it's time for me to go to college. But here I am, standing in front of one of the frat houses of the students from Chicago University. And the fact that Kat is actually a part of the sorority sisters really surprised me. Aren't they all supposed to be annoying like the queen bee on typical college drama? How come Kat is so approachable, and friendly? "Here.." Keira hands me a cup of drink that she took from the tables over the porch, as we make our way towards the front door. I watch as Keisha takes a sip on her cup, making a weird face as she tastes it, while Keira is drinking and vibing to the music. "Ugh..." It tasted weird, and quite strong. Keisha laughs as she looks at my expression. "Yeah, my thoughts exactly..." She chuckles. "Relax, it's just a booze." Keira laughs when she watches both Keisha's and my expression. "Cheers to our freshman year!" She adds as she drinks more,
