Ae Ra’s POV.

We greeted some senior executives and selected investors. Now and then, ladies would sneer at me and whisper to themselves. Some would laugh and others would look away in disgust. The more time I spent by CEO Jung’s side the louder the whispers got, even now women seemed to look at me funny.

“You remember what I said in the car right?” He whispered into my ear.

“Of course I do.”

How could I forget? How could anyone forget?

“Well you’re barely smiling, if anything, the grimace on your lips would scare people off.” He said softly.

I glanced at him from the corner of my eye, he was staring straight ahead with a smile of his own. It was fake but effortless.

He looked at me for a split second. “Ignore the whispers and looks. I’m the problem and I apologize for that.”

I paused in my tracks, too surprised to carry on our little walk. Did he just apologize to me? He stood next to me, his hand resting on the little of my back. “There’s no need to be surprised.”
