Liliana’s POV
The crystal water of the lake showed my reflection as I hovered along the banks, surprised to see myself in a wolf form, even though I did not have one. Perhaps I was not blessed with it, or it has not yet awakened. But I was already beyond the age of awakening, and until now, I have none.
‘Is this how I would look like if I had a wolf?’ I thought to myself.
The dead leaves rustled behind me, someone was approaching. The moment I turned around, I suddenly shifted back to a human form.
“Jason,” I uttered, recognizing the black wolf that stood in front of me. He took another step forward and shifted to his human self. Blood crept in my cheeks, making me blush as we faced each other— naked, and I could see all of his glory, flashed before me.
My nudity did not escape his tantalizing eyes that scanned every part exposed. A shiver ran up my spine as his gaze burned my skin. I breathed deeply and my chest rose in each intake. I wanted to cover myself in embarrassment, but a huge part of me was thrilled to see him watching me like I was a magazine model in his fantasy.
He closed the distance between us, and a gasp escaped my lips when his hand rested on my waist, his fingers curling on my skin as he held tighter— pleasurably. He pulled me closer, our skin colliding at the proximity, and I was instantly aroused, feeling the wetness that pooled in my privates, and his hard shaft that poked my abdomen. I swallowed the lump in my throat as my insides trembled in anticipation. His pupils dilated, the black color consuming the bluish irises of his eyes and he breathed as he grazed his lips on mine.
I have always wanted him, craved for him, every time he came by at home, I would always daydream of his warm presence against mine, and his hands that would touch me— travel all through my body.
Without any reservations, his hand palmed my mound, and his fingers slipped through the lips of my womanhood, then he started drawing circles on my sensitive nub. I whimpered, calling his name once more before his lips crashed onto mine.
He grabbed my thigh and lifted one leg off the ground to gain easier access as he delved a finger into my opening, and I wrapped my arms around his neck as we continued kissing, his tongue darting inside my mouth mimicking the insertion of a finger under me, then another, and I moaned. I could feel our bodies getting hotter, and my private getting wetter as he pumped faster.
But the fire that was burning inside us, was suddenly quenched.
“What the fuck?!” I uttered in frustration as I felt myself drenched in cold water.
“Wake up, dumbass.” The voice made me groan in annoyance as I shot him a glare.
Mike, the Alpha of Sinister Pack; and unfortunately, my ever-evil stepbrother.
The impeded climax that I was about to reach clawed my insides, asking to be released. But now, I couldn’t. It was all a dream. A wild one, with the Alpha heir of the Oseron Pack—Jason Obiena. I bit my lower lip and pressed my legs together under the blanket before sitting up to look at the disturbance.
Standing a few feet away from me, holding a bucket, now empty, since he just poured it all on me.
“What is wrong with you?” I yelled at him.
“Do not shout at me, Liliana. It’s late, and you have school. Get up or I’ll drag you down myself.” Mike was clearly pissed off, but why does he care.
“Leave me alone. I’d go if I want to,” I bit back, taking the duvet to cover myself again, wanting to sleep and craving to get back to that dream.
“I can smell your arousal from here, Liliana,” he smirked, mocking me. “What were you dreaming about?” He pulled the covers off my body and exposed my legs, but what embarrassed me more was being caught of being in-heat in my dreams.
I saw how his eyes shifted black, the pupils dilating, and his breathing was deep and controlled.
The arousal that coated the air in my room, filled his nostrils, giving away what I had been dreaming wild in my sleep.
“It’s none of your business. Get out!” sitting up and pointing at the door.
“Was it Jason?” he chuckled condescendingly, and a blush tainted my cheeks, embarrassed that I had been found out.
“How delusional. Do you think he would like you?” he walked closer to me, hitting the end of the bed. He bent down and grabbed my hair, pulling it back to tilt my head and look me in the eyes. His eyes were cold, distant, and filled with a dismissive disdain that made me feel small.
“Never, Liliana. He is an heir to his father’s pack, and he would never like a wolfless bitch like you.” Mischief played in Mike’s eyes as he observed my face, and I controlled the pricking tears in my eyes not to fall on my cheek. His grip on my hair went tighter as I fought to be freed, carefully not to touch my lips on the button of his pants that was only a few inches away from my parted lips.
“Why are you treating me like this? Just leave me alone.”
I was branded as a loser and a low life because I have no wolf. I was treated differently, controlled, and ordered around. I had always wondered whether I was not endowed by the Moon Goddess to have a wolf, or I was just a late bloomer, hoping that soon I could awaken the wolf inside me.
Mike took in a last look at my vulnerable state as if fighting his wolf from going feral, his eyes shifted darkly to his hazel green ones before he released his grasp on my hair, “You are not worthy of respect, you don’t have a wolf in you. Even the gods know what you are, a loser who doesn’t deserve to be gifted with a wolf.”
Once again, I was reminded of what I truly was in his pack, a nobody who’s got the lowest status of an Omega. The Omegas in the pack were the servants, but even they had a wolf, except for me. Despite being adopted by Mike’s parents when I was still a kid which could have given me a better position in the pack, I was still thrown to be an Omega as ordered by my Alpha — Mike.
“Dress up quick, and go to school,” he ordered again but I hesitated to go. I do not like following his orders. But sometimes, I could not do anything about it. “And by the way, there will be a pool party tonight. I want you to remain inside your room and never come out. Do you understand?” he ordered. It was not a matter of choice, it was an order from the Alpha.
But I was a stubborn one, “Why not?” I questioned.
“All Omegas are not allowed to attend the party, Jason will be there so we must at least show some respect. So stay inside. Do not embarrass me to the other pack.”
“No, I will come,” I insisted, thinking about Jason. I was excited to see him again. His dark blond curls and blue eyes, his charming smile, and slightly tanned skin, and his voice that bends ladies to their knees — including me.
“Stop being delusional,” Mike growled. “Do not humiliate yourself. An Alpha heir like Jason would only look down on someone like you who wasn’t even endowed with a wolf.”
“I… I just want to—“ In a swift motion, Mike’s hand was already wrapped around my throat, cutting off my words as I fell back on the mattress of the bed, the Alpha hovered on top of me, dominating, and forcing me to submission and obedience. He was seething. His sharp jaw was clenched in anger, and I choked at the tightness of his grip, cutting my airway as I struggled to breathe. But this is no longer new to me. Every time I went against him, he would punish me to teach me a lesson. But I still disobey him because sometimes, his orders are irrational, and I just hate that he tries to take control of my life.
He leaned down and breathed in my ear, “To what? See him?” his voice was raspy and deep, and our position reminded me of what I had seen in my dream, causing my legs to press tighter together to control the throbbing in my thigh despite reminding myself that he is not Jason.
“No. I am warning you, Liliana. Stay in your goddamn room tonight.”
His fingers shifted to my jaw, letting me breathe for a while and I wriggled from his firm grip, wanting to be released, but he held my wrists down.
“Do not test me, Liliana. You know what happens to naughty girls, right? They get punished,” he threatened. I could feel his gaze glued on the freckles under my eyes, which I badly wanted to cover up. It was the only insecurity I had of myself. They don’t look good. People find them ugly, and I was bullied when I was a kid because of it, so I always cover them with makeup every time I leave the safety of my room.
His thumb brushed my lower lip as he whispered once more, “Again, stay in your fucking room tonight, or else.” He released my jaw abruptly, causing my head to turn to the side, and said, “Get dressed, the car’s waiting.”
Liliana’s POVNight came and all the Omegas who prepared the food, drinks, and everything for the pool party went into their quarters before the guests began to pour in, staying in as ordered. After school, I remained in my room because even with my stubborn attitude, I still hesitated to disobey the Alpha’s order. But I won’t deny that I want to see Jason so badly. The heat that had never left me continued to prick my skin like sparks as the memory of the dream danced in my mind. I had been restless, and I was excited to see him again tonight, hopefully, even just a glimpse of him from my room, on the second floor of the house which gives a view of the pool in the backyard of the house.“Do not test me, Liliana.”I sighed when I remembered his words. He never made a threat without acting on it, and I was a first-hand witness to that. If he said he would punish me for disobedience, then he would, no questions asked, and no mercy shown. I winced at the stinging memory when he had shown
Liliana’s POVJason stood up and I panicked. He did not break our eye contact as he moved to my direction, and I did not know what to do. So I shied away and decided to leave. I am not yet ready to face him. What would I say? He might only belittle me, just like what Mike had been always telling me. Jason is going to be an Alpha soon, and he would also look down on me just like everyone else. I have seen him numerous times before when he visits Mike, but to talk to him? I never did. The words from my Alpha haunt me to the core of my soul, and I don’t even have the spirit anymore to hope for Jason. As I turned to leave, a yelp escaped my lips when I collided with something hard. I shivered when I saw the person towering over me, his face was cold and furious, eyes were shooting glares and I did not dare to speak for I know that I have nowhere else to go. I’m caught.“What are you doing here?” Mike hissed. “Didn’t I tell you to stay in your room?”He grabbed my arm and roughly pulled me
Jason's POV The air was thick with tension, and if something wasn't done about it, I feared it would ruin the rest of the night. Apparently, I wasn't the only one with that thought process. All around me, the rest of the party goers shuffled their feet awkwardly, each and everyone of them not wanting to meet the host’s gaze. When hushed and slightly raised voices began to reach my ears, I just knew it was gradually blowing out of proportion.“Did you see that?” Someone whispered. His tone was pensive with a hint of mockery at the same time. “I never expected to witness so much drama tonight.”“I think I'm glad this happened.” Another voice spoke up, and it belonged to a woman this time. “The party was beginning to get a tad boring.”I tuned them out immediately, before pushing my gaze towards the scene in front of me. Mike had his back to me, and with the posture of his hand, it was obvious he was still cradling the spot where that lady had slapped him. With how loud the sound had
Jason's POV The world around me froze. My brain was muddled as I struggled to get a hold of what had just happened. Just a couple of minutes ago, someone's lips had pressed against mine. Was it real? The answer to my question didn't waste time in coming to me. A low moan reached my ears as someone nipped at my bottom lip. The feel of her teeth grazing over my lip sent chills down my spine and I shuddered. What exactly was going on?Dainty fingers wrapped around my neck, before snaking their way up my scalp. Her fingers did magic as they massaged my head, before tugging and pulling at the same time. That alone was enough to send me spiraling. With a low growl bubbling at the base of my throat, I parted my lips, granting her all the access she wanted.Pure bliss shot up my body as her tongue darted into my mouth. She tasted like strawberries, with a salty aftertaste that suggested she had been crying earlier. She smelled like vanilla, wrapped in cinnamon and I swear to the goddess
Liliana's POV My heart thundered in my chest at the words that had just slid past my lips a couple of minutes ago. I was known for always giving everything I said second thoughts before eventually spitting them out, but not tonight. Tonight, I was on fire, literally and metaphorically too.My skin burned with a heat that could only be traced to one person. We'd barely parted a bit to catch our breaths a little, but the tension in the air crackled, almost threatening to suffocate us if we didn't get back to it soon.Even in a million years, I never expected tonight to turn out like this. One minute I was scared and stuck in my room, and the next, I was in the cellar and making out with someone. Not just anyone, Alpha Jason. The mere thought of him was more than enough to have me warming up from the inside. Everything was just as it was in my dream, or even better. His hair had the same texture as I ran my fingers through it, and his lips, I would kiss them for the rest of my live
Liliana's POV The world around me seemed to slow to a halt as Jason's words rang loudly in my ears. My ears buzzed, and a small throb made its way to the back of my head. Why was Jason so hell bent on finding out who I was? Despite all of my attempts to distract him from knowing my name, none of them seemed to be working. No matter what I did, or what I tried, he was hell-bent on finding out my true identity, and there was no way I was going to let that happen. But if he found out, was it going to be that bad?Mike's words from earlier echoed in my ears immediately, like a painful reminder.“Jason doesn't like plain Jane's like you.” I dismissed the thought from my mind immediately. Alpha Jason and I were on totally opposite sides of the hierarchy. Without giving it a thought, I was sure if he found out my true identity right now, he would put an end to everything we had going on.“Cat got your tongue, little kitty?” Jason's low tone in my ear pulled me back to earth. I shivered
Liliana's POV The room was quiet, save for the tick tock from the clock hung way high up on the wall. It was a pretty black piece that matched with the dull pastel of my room, and while I usually adored it as one of the prettiest things in the room, I could no longer stand it. I wanted to take out its batteries or worse, smash something so hard against it that it would break. No, Liliana. I cautioned myself. The clock isn't your problem. And it was true. The piece of decoration wasn't my problem. In fact, I didn't even know what my problem was. I was furious, sad, heart broken and angry, all at once , and it was all thanks to one person. No matter how hard I tried to push it to the back of my mind, it always came back, and alongside that memory, was pain.“Not only is she wolfless, she's just as useless too.” Alpha Jason's words echoed in my ears. To be honest, I never saw him as the kind of person who could utter such words, especially not to me. I always wondered why he and Mik
Mike's POV “Where is it?” I muttered to myself as my eyes scanned the table in front of me. I'd lost count of how many times my eyes had scoured the table, but it didn't change anything. I still couldn't find it. “Where the hell is it?”A low hiss slid past my lips as I got up. I was sure I'd left it on my bedside table, so why wasn't it here anymore? Had someone snuck in and probably taken it? But who? Who would have come in here and taken it without my knowledge? My room was always locked, except for the night of the pool party. Was that when it had been taken? I shook my head. It still didn't make any sense. No one knew what they were used for, so why would they take it? I just needed to find it. I'm sure it's in here. It just has to be here.I headed to my wardrobe immediately. I swung open the wooden doors, and a loud creak followed, but I couldn't be bothered about that. One after the other, I pulled my clothes, before flinging them onto the bed. I didn't care about making
Liliana's POV The clock on my bedside table rung loudly, and I sprung out of bed immediately. If I was being honest, I wasn't exactly sleeping. I had been awake for the past hour and I was only waiting for the alarm to go off. That way, not only did I have a reason to walk about the house, I was also sure that the very person I was looking for, was already awake.Mike.Even the mere thought of the man was more than necessary to erupt feelings I didn't like. They were all negative feelings, but no matter how hard I tried to shake it off, they just wouldn't budge. If there was one thing that refused to leave my mind, it was me and Mike's last interactions. It didn't leave my mind, and even after some days had passed, I still had vivid flashbacks of that little moment.“I love you, Liliana.” His words rang in my ear. “Why won't you listen to me?”I knew I was pretending to be unconscious when he had said that, but I always wish I could pretend it never happened. I had tried pushin
Liliana's POV A lot of things had been going wrong since I finally came around, but all of this was too much, even for me. I always heard that of you took a deep breath and tried to think things through, then you would come up with a logical solution for everything that had been happening. I should have known things that applied to everyone else wasn't exactly the same with me, and the fact that I always searched for a silver lining, was one of my biggest mistake, and I had just slipped up again.I stared at the man in front of me, a wave of emotions flashing on his face. I knew Mike wasn't the most straight forward person in the world, but this was a lot, even for me.When he had burst in here a couple of minutes ago, I hadn't expected it. If I was being honest, I legit thought he was going to storm into my room with someone else, Jason in particular. He was far from pleased when he realized I had called Jason. If I couldn't believe that I had called him either, how did I expect
Mike's POV I didn't want to, but I was already out of options at this point. Before doing it, my mind had whirled with a million and one other options, other things I could do instead of doing this, but no matter how hard I tried, I just wasn't able to come up with anything else. And like that wasnt frustrating enough, Liliana was being so damn stubborn. And I hated it.I stared at the young lady in my arms. Her eyes were closed, and as I stared at her, I watched her chest rise and fall ever so slowly. She was a peaceful little thing while she slept, and if that wasn't the biggest contrast to how stubborn she was while awake, then I had no idea what was.I ran a hand through her hair, the soft feel of her locs threading against my skin. I could get used to this, making her fall asleep in my arms, but no matter how much I wanted it, it didn't change the fact that it was only a far fetched dream. My eyes slid to her face, and for a minute, I was reminded of the little scene that ha
Liliana's POV A small groan was the first thing that slid past my lips the moment I came around. I wasn't fully awake, but that did nothing to lessen the pain that spread throughout my body. My eyes were pressed shut, and as a couple of seconds ticked by, I realized something; I didn't necessarily want to open my eyes. At least not now.I had no idea what the moon goddess had in store for me, but one thing was clear. Whatever it was, I needed to go through a certain amount of pain before it unfolded. I was barely recovering from gaining consciousness all over again, when something hit me in the sides. An intense jolt spread through my body. Accompanied by an even more intense blast of heat, I almost thought I had been left at the bottom of a volcano just waiting to erupt.I felt beads of sweat slide down my face, but that wasn't all. A dull ache nagged at me from the back of my skull and I could swear I was this close to exploding. For some strange reason, I couldn't feel my limbs,
Liliana's POV My heart thundered in my chest throughout the journey home. No matter how hard I tried, it wouldn't calm down. I even did a number of breathing exercises ranging from counting from one to a certain number, and even counting the many cars that sped past us on the road, but nothing was working. I even tried meditating and ignoring the problem at hand.Maybe if I kept on with it for so long, the problem would disappear. Perhaps, if I pretended that all of what had happened in the hospital ward was nothing but a hallucination, all of it would disappear. I pressed my eyes shut, willing everything to go away. I had no idea how, but maybe if I kept my eyes closed for too long, it would actually work.I wasn't exactly sure how much time I had spent with my eyes closed, but a small part of me knew it was a lot. I had pressed my eyes shut the moment Mike had pulled me out of the hospital ward. I couldn't even bring myself to look at him in the face. He had grabbed onto my hand
Liliana's POV My mind whirled with a million and one questions and thoughts. They were all mumbled up and jumbled together, but one thing stood out perfectly fine. The fact that I was in trouble, or about to be, rather.I stared at the young man in front of me. It has been over an hour since he gulped down the glass of milk I had offered him. Over an hour since a blanket of red rashes spread across his skin. Not only that, his nose had taken on a sickly shade of green, and his eyes, they were puffy and almost red. If I didn't know better, I would have said they were on the verge of popping out from his skull.Actually, I didn't know better, so what if they were about to burst from his eye sockets?I shook my head, but it did nothing to push the fear and worry I was feeling. Anxiety swirled in the pit of my stomach, and no matter how hard I tried to get a hold of it, it didn't work. I was nervous, nervous because the probability that I was going to be arrested for murder seemed t
Liliana's POV I hadn't even thought it through before pressing my lips against his. Perhaps it had to do with the fact that if I gave it too much thought, the chances that I was going to chicken out of actually doing it were high, and I was only going to regret not taking my chance, sooner or later.I didn't want to be the girl to regret, so I acted without thinking. I pressed my lips against Jason's.Unlike the former kisses we had shared, this one was different, and I could already tell the moment our lips touched each other. While the others were rushed with intensity slipping in and out of our mouths, this was the complete opposite. It was warm and slow, and it made my stomach churn. In a good way of course. Not only that, his touch was gentle, and I found myself leaning into him. Unlike the Jason I knew, or more specifically, the Jason that adored his wild kitty, his kiss warmed me up from the inside, and what made it all the more worth it, was the fact that it wasn't in any
Liliana's POV For the next couple of minutes, I stood rooted to my spot. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't bring myself to move. It was said that a tiny part of the brain was in charge of each and every movement that went down in the human body. Without that part, or if it were to be slightly damaged, then there was no way you would be able to move a finger, talk more of your entire body.As I struggled to figure out why I couldn't move, a tiny thought made its way to my mind.Had my brain shut down somehow? But if it had, how was I still able to stand and even think?I had barely asked myself that question before something else popped up in my mind. It was an answer to my question, and somehow, it didn't exactly make me feel better.I was in shock. If a sorcerer had come here a couple of minutes back to tell me all that would play out after my little sparring session with Jason, then best believe I was going to laugh my head off.I willed the thoughts to disappear, but
Liliana's POV The moment I stepped into the school hallway, my gaze landed on the small group of people gathered in the corner. It was a Monday morning, and honestly, it was a sore sight, even for me to see. On most Mondays, most students miled about in the hallways, each and everyone eager to get to their classes. They never missed their first classes, but with the crowd gathered just in front of me, I wasn't sure the first class was even going to hold.My ehes glanced around the hallway, and a small wave of sadness washed over me when I didn't see Ciara. She was my backbone when it came to things like this and I hated not having her around. Were she here, she would have already figured out why the other students were gathered at the corner and what they were looking at. Now that she wasn't here, how the hell was I going to find out what was going on now?I hovered around in my spot for a couple more minutes, waiting for them to leave. The goddess must have heard my prayer beca
