I couldn't afford to look at Alex. I knew that sooner than later, he was going to find out. I had only wished that it would be later rather than sooner.

But now he had found out and he was going to leave. Maybe he would even return back the cloths he had bought for us and take back his money.

I honestly won't blame him if he decides to do that. It would be nothing else but my fault and I would take whatever consequences that came with it.

And so I kept my face on the floor, not daring to look into his angry eyes and just waiting for him to do whatever it was that he wanted to do.

But for a while, I didn't hear any word from him and then suddenly, I heard him sighing and I was tempted to look up.

But he wasn't looking at me, he was looking at the girl that had come to deliver such terrible news and his stance did not look like one of a person who wanted to do anything good.
