Chapter 118

I had moved as fast as I possibly could. And I only stopped when I reached a phone booth. That was when I was reminded of the phone in my pocket which contained the number of the woman that wanted to help me.

I quickly removed my phone and called her. Thankfully she picked immediately and she started talking to me to find out where exactly I was and how she would get to me. I told her everything she needed to know and before long, she had arrived to help me.

Before she arrived, I made sure that I had destroyed the evidence in front of me by washing the bat with enough water, ramping it against a stone to destroy it and then scattering the reminding pieces before I left the place to wait for the woman at a spotlight where she could see me.
