CHAPTER 397

EVAN’S POV

I look at my wife with a mix of triumph and frustration. I say, my voice steady but charged with emotion.

“We’ve done it. We managed to separate Adam and Aria.”

But this isn’t the end. We’re not finished with them yet. Aria might have regained her memory, or she might be playing some kind of game. We don’t know for sure. What we do know is that she’s out of Adam Miller’s house, and that makes her more vulnerable.

My wife’s eyes narrow, her anger barely concealed, she agrees, her voice cold and resolute.

“Yes, she’s vulnerable now. But we need to understand what she’s up to.”

While she was with Ethan, she was still entangled with Adam despite their divorce. Clearly, there was something brewing between them, and Ethan ended up being the casualty. It’s like he’s always getting involved with the wrong women. First, Lydia, the gold digger, and now Aria. She might be a billionaire, but she’s played with his life, and now she’s just moving on like nothing happened.
