CHAPTER 398

ADAM’S POV

I can’t stand the thought of Aria being targeted again, especially when she’s innocent. It’s clear that the only way to put an end to this madness is to confront the Mitchells directly. They deserve to know the truth about what happened, and I need to clear Aria’s name once and for all.

When I arrive at the Mitchells’ home, the tension is obvious. They don’t want me there, but they’re willing to listen, at least for now. I take a deep breath and begin to explain everything. I tell them about the plane crash, how Aria ended up on a deserted island, and how we searched tirelessly for her.

I recount how I was the first to find her and the ordeal with the pirates, which left her with no memory of the events. I describe how we had to focus on her recovery, hoping they might understand that we were all doing our best under impossible circumstances.

“Keep your crap to yourself!”
