148. That day is not too far away

Marcus’ POV 

The warm breeze from the sea was hard to miss as I strolled through the busy streets of the south. Humidity was apparent in the air, unlike the chill of the north or the gushy winds of Ingram. The mighty ocean had been magnificent last night when I arrived in town, perfect for a good night’s hunt. I had never been more gutted that I couldn’t transform into my wolf, for it would have been a splendid night. 

Now as I walked through the crowds, I couldn’t help but feel Kiara’s absence by my side. In any other circumstance, this would have been an amazing place for us to take a break in and enjoy. It was so different from the places we’ve lived our entire lives, and some change would have definitely done us good. Down the line, if all went well, maybe I could plan something for K

Just no.. I’m all for angst, but I’d see this character being really weak if he can’t negotiate his way out of that part of the alliance.

Better than a spell… but still ridiculous. This is a great reason to decline though… if Kiara and Bella promised loyalty to the radicals and Marcus actually agreed to this… it would be chaotic if the radicals and conservatives ended up wanting to fight each other for control over the witch lands.
