It had been a day since Lucien came home, but he still remained unconscious. Upon Marcus’ request, Irene, the renowned healer of our town, came to our rescue. She had managed to treat his wounds and gave him a healing potion that would help him recover fast, essentially bringing him out of danger. However, she couldn’t promise when he’d wake.
“Could be a few hours, or a few days. We really can’t tell.” She said, “He has suffered grave injuries, but I’ve given him a potion that will accelerate his healing process. Since we’re altering the natural course of his body’s response, he will need to compensate for it with something. The potion is very potent, and it will demand all the energy and strength he has. The concoction might keep him unconscious for a long time, but bear in mind that it is only for his betterment.”
