I sat in my office alongside Wren, my adopted brother who is also the Vice President and along with the Head of Accounting Erik Stevens. He's in his late thirties. He has clean-shaved face, wearing tailored made checked suit. He wore glasses that fit the oval shaped face. "The partnership agreement has been sent to Empire Holdings successfully." Erik browsed through the numbers that I discussed with David yesterday. He had an intense look on his face as he was solely focused on his tablet. Wren and I observed him closely. He broke down all the account jargon so easily. He had the magic touch while balancing the accounts."This is a very good deal Boss." Erik's eyes wide opened like a child in a candy store. "Empire holding is a strong company. Their debts are short term. They have paid up most of their loans. The remaining was used for expansion. With the right guidance and discipline, their projection can reach a billion in five years." I and Wren gasped at the figure Erik told us. He kept going through the numbers trying to confirm it, as it felt like a fantasy dream.
"That sounds like a good investment for us." I responded. They both nodded positively
"Your truly ruthless, Nikolas." Wren said with a wry smile as he glanced through the agreement. He always knew of my gruesome tactics in negotiation, yet his astonishment only grew stronger on every business deal I concluded. "I've to do what it takes to get my money back." I replied slowly relaxing back on my chair. A truly worthy conquest. I told myself quietly. I couldn't believe this was the same girl I just saw yesterday, she now looked confident and fierce. I didn't realize I was starring at her for a while, till Wren gave out a mischievous cough to alert me. She also caught me starring, which made her look curious and worried towards me.
