Usually, I’m that brother in the quad that is last to learn of situations or that is forgotten. Put in short, I am usually forgotten and sometimes, treated as though I don’t exist.

I didn’t care about that though. I loved how quiet and simple my life was…until Kayla came into the picture.

I had a thing for her right from the minute she was introduced as our step sisters. There was a longing for her in my soul, and deep down, I wanted to have her in my arms. However, we were the very popular alphas and I had to succumb to punishing her together with my brothers. That act of ours made us feel sort of powerful, even if we saw her in pain.

Somehow, I felt glad that she was our mate, but still, I felt sort of inferior and shy whenever I was in her presence.

She had a fierce aura that made me recoil and melt, despite how hard I tried to carry myself or feel aplomb.

“I would go take a walk. Take care of her”, Mason said and patted my back, after which he walked out of the room.
