Third person. Three days have passed since the quad left for their home. At first, to Kayla, it was dream. However, with each new day that came, she became convinced that it was anything other than a dream. The door knob opened at that point, prompting Kayla to sit up and wipe off the tears she had in her eyes.“You should stop crying or else your eyes would get dry”, Alpha Denver said as he walked over to her and sat beside her. Silence lingered in the atmosphere for a couple of minutes. “I’m not a bad person as you think. You just need to avoid getting me enraged”, he added as he cupped her cheeks and smiled at her.
Third person. The quad remained silent ever since they arrived their pack. It was quite hard to realize that their mate was away from them and there was nothing they could do about it. For days, they failed to eat anything and even if the Alpha King was worried, he felt that he wasn’t ready to talk to them. He was still mad at them for holding such secrets about Kayla away from him and he wasn’t making any plans to forgive them yet. However, he had a big plan for them. At this, he summoned them during dinner…
Jason. I didn’t expect less from what my father had said. I already knew who he was and the fact that he would go to any length just to see that he gets what he wants. “This is final. If you fail to do as I have said, you will have yourself to blame”, he had said with a clear tone that depicted a deep level of threat. We all knew what he meant by that. It simply meant that Kayla could be killed if he wanted but our cooperation would determine what would happen. Truth be told, I was lost at this point.
KaylaAlpha Denver wanted something from me. It was quite hard to place my hands on what it was, but I could swear that I knew he wanted something from me. Lately, he’s been treating me like a Queen and something in the depth of my heart tells me that there’s a reason for that.“He wants you to join him at the dining room for breakfast”, a servant said as he peeked into my room. I was shocked at first. This was going to be the first time of dining with him. Even, I never thought that it would ever happen.
Third person. It was a day after the dinner and the day she was officially meant to start the practice. Kayla had acted so naive and oblivious of the powers she possessed and what it could do. “How would they know that she met the witch in the forest who helped her with learning every bit of her powers?” She thought silently as she glared at Denver who was quite pleased that he would be teaching her for his use. He wanted to use her as a weapon, a weapon to make his pack the strongest and at this, he had to dive deeper and win her heart.
Kayla.I was gradually beginning to let go of thoughts relating to my brothers or mate. Thanks to Alpha Denver, I had a better time doing that. Slowly, I realized that I was getting used to be around him. I cried most times when I couldn’t help but recalled the time I spent with the quad. But then, I had a greater focus and it was in my best interest to make use of Denver to achieve that. I was still out to figure out who killed my mum and since the quad weren’t going to help me out, I was willing to do it alone and maybe with the help of Denver.
Third person. Kayla was doing well in her trainings. She had successfully taken away thoughts of the quad out of her mind and that was a good thing to do for her. Now, her main focus was on her trainings and figuring out who it was that killed her mother. Alpha Denver was a good alliance too and she was loving every bit of their relationship. She knew that he wanted her to help him out with something but that didn’t matter because she wanted quite a number of things too. She was taking a break from one of her training sessions when a servant walked in with a note from the Alpha.
Kayla.I stared at the letter one of the servants passed across to me and for some reasons, I had no strength to tear it open. It felt as though I had an idea of where it came from. My instincts turned out to be right because just as I had thought, it came from my mates…Jason to be precise.“Dear Kayla, I know that it’s been a while. I write to let you know that a lot of things happened already and it’s obvious that fate doesn’t want us together. We might be getting married soon and we hope that you move on too”, the letter said and for a while, I tried to decipher if I was only having a bad dream.
