Chapter 7

Myra's P.O.V

"Mom, I'll go with you to help you sell in the market" I said, smiling.

"Myra, just rest. You used to vomit in the sink, didn't you? As I said. Maybe you ate something bad, is there some part of your body that is in pain? Tell me, We’ll immediately" Mom said and held my arm.

I looked at her eyes. I slowly sat on our sofa.

"I just have a headache, No big deal" I said.

"So you just rest, I can do it" Mom said and pick up her mobile phone and bag.

"All right, take care Mom" I said.

I watched my Mom walking out of our house.

I peek from the window and looked at the sky.

Why is it like this? I already feel nervous. What if something was formed by what Sir John did to me? But, he said he did not put semen inside me. I’m really not good at sexual intercourse, I don’t know things like this.

"But what if--" I stopped thinking when my cellphone started ringing.

Nhel is calling, I immediately pick my phone from the table and I answered his call immediately.

"Yes Love?" I said.

"I miss you so much, We'll meet on Saturday! I'm excited" Nhel said happily.

"Y-yes love, me too" I said lazily.

I slowly scratch my head, what would happen if he knew that I had sex with my—NO! that can’t happen.

"Is there a problem, Love?" Nhel asked.

Yes, I need to be sure I am not pregnant.

"I just feel bad" I said.

"Rest first. You might be too tired" Nhel said, worriedly.

"Maybe so" I said and sighed.

"Love, I'm here at my troop's house, we'll play basketball here outside of the village" Nhel said.

"Sure, Just be careful. I told you my rule huh? Do not to take off your top clothes no matter what" I said.

"Sure boss" Nhel said.

"All right. Enjoy, I love you" I said.

"I love you too" he replied.

When the call went off, I held my cellphone tightly.

I can't get pregnant, what about Nhel?

I need to know first!

I immediately got dressed and took my wallet. I went straight to the pharmacy and bought a pregnancy test. I bought two more for sureness.

I immediately went home, I already felt hungry and tired. I walk into the bathroom and took a pee for the pregnancy test.

"Lord, I hope not, Please" I whispered before I dropped my urine on the pregnancy test.

I watched the color filling the pregnancy test.

“No…” I whisphered.

After a while I was surprised to see two lines there. My heartbeat started to double it’s beat.

"No" I whispered.

My hands are trembling while I opened another pregnancy test and used it.

“Maybe it’s just wrong result, maybe that is broken” I whispered.

I walked back and forth while waiting for the result.

I slowly sat down to see the two lines again in my pregnancy test.

"Positive" I whispered.

Slowly, my tears started to flow, Now! I do not know what to do.

"This is shit, I’m fucked up" I whispered and held my head.

I can't help but sigh, how can I tell this to Mom? It definitely disgraces me especially and Nhel is not the father of this child. What would my Mom tell me if she knew that I had sex with my professor? She will kill me! What a shame I’ve done.

What about Nhel? The man persevered and waited for me until we finished studying. He has know nothing of what is happening to me.

"My Lord, is this the replacement for everything?" I said and cried.

I took the two pregnancy test and pocketed them, I took some money and immediately went to Sir John's house.

He needed to know this, even though I had a severe headache I did not take it seriously. I had to do something!

When I came to Professor John’s house. I flounced into his gate.

"SIR!" I shouted at their gate and slammed it.

"SIR OPEN THIS!" I shouted and slammed its gate again.

“PROFESSOR—“ I stopped when I saw the door opened.

"Ms. Gonzaga? What are you doing here?" Sir asked me formally.

I stood up straight as he walk towards me.

"S-sir" I stammered and my tears started dripping again.

"Why are you crying?" Sir asked and he opened the gate for me.

“Come, tell me what happened” He let me in and I sat on the sofa, he even handed me a handkerchief. I stared at him.

"Sir what did you do to me?" I asked while still crying.

Sir was just standing in front of me and I was sitting.

"Myra what are you saying?" Sir asked me.

I took the pregnancy test out of my pocket and handed it to him.

"SIR! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS?! I TRUSTED YOU SIR, THAT YOU WON’T GET ME PREGNANT BECAUSE YOU SAID! YOU WILL DO A WITHDRAWAL! BUT WHY?" I shouted while crying.

I stood up and I could not help but strike and punch Sir John. I want to hurt him because he broke everything in me.

"I AM NOW A SHAME TO MY MOTHER! I DON'T THINK THAT I CAN FACE NHEL ANYMORE! MY LIFE IS DESTROYED BECAUSE OF YOU--" I suddenly felt weak and I slowly lost consciousness.

John's P.O.V

I was surprised when Myra came home, but I was happy with the good news she brought me.

Although she lost her mind and she hit me, that’s fine. She even lost consciousness so I carry her up and laid her on my bed. I picked up the two pregnancy tests she had dropped.

I stared at it.

"Everything is on plan" I whispered and smiled.

This is probably my right time. All I need is for Myra to love me and accept that we will have child.

Later, Myra's cellphone suddenly rang in her pocket.

I picked it up and saw the caller's name.

"Nhel? Fuck that guy" I said.

I denied the call and turned off Myra's phone.

"I also need to get rid of her boyfriend" I whispered.

I stared at Myra's angelic face, for me she was so beautiful, there was nothing like her. Actually she was my student for three years and I was about to marry her someday.

"Sir" she said when she woke up.

"Let's go to the hospital, let's check how you are and the baby" I said.

"Not anymore Sir, I'm leaving too. I just want you to know that you are going to be a father" Myra said and it stood up.

She’s a hard headed, always.

I took her hand and pull her to me.

"That's my child too, I have the right to know his condition" I said.

I grabbed my car key and pulled Myra into the car.

"You don't have to do this Sir" Myra said.

She was still frowning and just looking out the car window.

"Is that how you get pregnant? Always rude?" I said and started the car.

While on the road I noticed Myra scratching her nose.

"Don't you like the smell of the car?" I ask here.

"Stinky at my nose, it kinda hurts" she said.

I immediately removed the air refreshener of my car.

"It's okay, you don’t need to do that" Myra said and hold my hand when I was supposed to put the air refreshener into the dashboard.

"Not okay" I said.

And because of the traffic we just stopped. I looked at Myra looking at the fruit vendors on the road.

"Do you want?" I asked.

"Yes, can I buy first?" It asked me.

I immediately parked the car and she got out first. I saw her picking pears and lansones.

"Is this the last price? It's 1/4?" I heard Myra ask the saleswoman.

"Lady, I will pay for a kilo of that, just give it to her" I said and handed over the money.

"Huh? Sir! I’ll pay--" said Myra.

"No, I’m doing this for my child" I said.

"Ok" Myra said and stared at me.

What the heck? Why is this woman so irritated? I already bought her food and then she’s still mad?

"Let's go" I said and took the plastic of the fruits.
