NOT REALLY HEALED!

Gracey sat in her cozy apartment in downtown Vancouver, staring at her phone.

It had been months since she left for Canada, months since she had any real connection with her old life. Life had moved on, and so had she. Or at least, she thought she had.

She scrolled through social media absentmindedly, pausing when a familiar name popped up, Richie.

There he was, smiling in a photo, his arm wrapped around his beautiful woman. Leah. The caption read: "Engaged to the love of my life."

Gracey’s heart sank momentarily. Not because she wanted Richie back.

She’d accepted long ago that they were never meant to be. It was about everything that had happened between them. The years they were together and couldn't even love each other properly, the accident planned by her dad, and the pain that lingered in the air before and after they finally called it quits. It still stung in a way she didn’t expect.
