Chapter 5: New Slaves

 Inside the Chris Manor, a young man at around age of 20 is sitting on the chair, while holding a cup of coffee. the man resembles the face of Eduard but look much older than him. The color of his hair was also different from Eduard  dark color hair, his hair is gray in color.

 This man was Darwin, the first son of Chris Family Leader.

 He was now facing an old man in a butler uniform. The old man was at the age of 60's, but his body is vigorous as a young adult. There is also a silver aura that surround him, indicating that he was in Silver Tier Level Knight. He was only standing silent on the side, waiting for the young man in front of him to speak.

 "Steve, did you confirm that my brother Eduard placed was only a desolated area?" the Darwin asked.

  The old man move in front of him, "Yes Young Master, it is at the border near the beast man territory. The young master Eduard troops will have a hard time there to gain foot hold, since the location was visited by Beast man Hunters frequently" The old man respond.

 A smile appeared on the face of Darwin, " Good, good. Its better that he will vanish there since he will be an obstacle for me someday. its better that he is at the place where he could not gather strength to compete with me. I am now left with two brothers competitor".

 " By the way Steve, Did Stella already received the letter about his brother situation?" Darwin followed question.

 " You don't have to worry young master. Young Miss Stella already received it, I heard that the messenger said that she was already on her way here". The old man ended his report and moved again in the side.

 " Good job, She is also an obstacle. Even though she was already as good as crippled magician. She is still a magician and more threatening than a knight" Darwin smiled like someone who wins the lottery.

     As a large scale family scheming for taking the head seat is common. But killing one of the successor is a challenge to the dignity of family. That's why, even if Darwin wanted to remove his competitor he can't use the method of killing since the investigation of it will be around them and the consequences are heavy.

    In Eduard situation, it was enough to contain him at the border. If he was out of luck, death should be on his doors.

In Eduard's residence,

 Eduard was now looking at the three knights that he ordered to visit the nearby city.

 " Did you encounter some problem during your journey?" Eduard questioned. He was looking at the condition of the three.

 They look tired, but he was delighted that nobody was injured.

 The one on the middle step forward and gave him a salute, " Reporting my Lord, we did not encounter any problem on the way"

  The Knight suddenly frown and want to say something, but he did not add anything that out of his question.

 " continue what you want to say" Eduard bossily asked.

 The knight let out a sighed, " My Lord, we did not encounter any problem on the way, it's just that the slave trader gave us a hard bargain and gave us a high prices. The one that he sell us are those weak and malnourished slaves". After saying his report, the 3 knights suddenly sweat a bucket. They were afraid that they could anger Eduard due to their inability.

 When Eduard heard the inquire of knights, he ask the other men to bring out the slaves.

 Looking at the condition of the slaves, they are not too skinny but their bodies look frail. The children are sickly and have a fever.

 " Angie and Linda, go to the kitchen and prepare some porridge. Get me also some water and give it to them". the two heed his command and immediately walk to the kitchen.

 He ask the other knight to help the slaves to his residence.

 The condition of the people was not bad. Its just that, they were lack the nutrients in their bodies. Letting them eat for two days will help them recover.

 For the children, he ask them to be brought at the room near the quarters of maid. Since they are sick, they should feed them and let them rest. 

 After finishing giving his order, the system panel suddenly give him a notice.

 Eduard run to his room, to check out the notification of the system. 

 Activating his reward, a thick manual suddenly fall into his hand. He open the book to check out the content, this was the Military Training Manual so the content should be on developing a large scale Army.

 When he open the book, he was surprise that the training method is also applicable for the knights of this world. aside from the routine and body strengthening, there are also set of barehanded fighting techniques and all round weapon skill. There are also set of meditation technique that available for all constitution which are called as Military Tactics. 

 In general, the Military Training methods of this manual do not discriminate the requirements of people to train. Even other races could be train from this. Also the cultivation technique can also be help to develop Knights until Diamond Level. 

 Finally, I can start to build my own Army. 

 He shift his attention to the  new Mission below.

 Eduard was excited to the reward of first mission. ' Magician Occupation, if i have this i can finally start to wield magic. It's just that, there is no affinity information pon any elements to the reward' looking forward. He was down by the mission requirements to get this reward.

   

   Raising his Knights to the Silver Level.

 Based on the Training Method given by the Military Tactics, training his weakest Knights from Tier 5 Iron to Tier 9 Iron on average phase will take two months.

 The further improvement will depend on the Ability and Talent as well as the resources.

 Turning to the other mission, Eduard got an idea on how he can successfully improve his 10 Knights. ' Hunting Beast at Iron level should be a good way as training method. Seiging  a group of beast will help them to develop group coordination. This could also help to nourish them since the meat of this beast are more nutritious than the normal meat.

 He look at the condition of the mission, ' 100 beast to hunt down ' he was conflicted since taking down a beast takes a lot of effort. How else if its a hundredth'

 'This should be included while training next week, the group should be take turns into group of three and alternately take turns to hunt twice a week in the forest' he thought. 

 Eduard was hoping that he can complete it within the month since the reward is something that he want to test out.

 " The healing potion, I hope it could be effective to the case of my sister since the quality is superior" he look again in the direction in the Chris Family direction with a worried look.

 Even though he was not the original Eduard, the memories of the old Eduard made him attach to the people that the old Eduard care the most. Just like the two maids in the house, he did not treat them as only servant, even when he was taking his meal, he did not starting to eat his food if they are not sitting with him and eat together.
