CHAPTER 6: DARIUS

 Two days after the arrival of the new slaves. Eduard was now happily taking his breakfast together with the five kids and maids. The complexion of the five turn better within this two days. A livelier aura was surrounding them, unlike 2 days ago when they arrive, their eyes are lifeless. Their fever was also gone away.

 Beside, the kids was also attach to him, as he tend to them when he was nothing to do in his mansion. Right now they are happily eating their breakfast while enthusiastic to help him. Since this morning, he announced to them that they will be trained by the maids and knights to serve for him. The kids did not show dissatisfaction in the course of his expectation. They are more than happy, since they will not joined the other slaves instead their task are within the mansion.

 He also learned that before they were catch by the slave trader they are already abandoned kids in the street.

 Well, they are lucky that they fall in Eduard's hand since they are given a job to work here and not be treated inhumanely. In situation of other nobles, slaves of this age are treated as a toys for their satisfaction. Specially the girls, some nobles have some fetish to young girls and love to rape them.

 Thinking of this evil deeds, Eduard wants to take those children slaves, to house them and avoid them to be abuse by these cruel nobles. Sadly, even he's household was tight in money and he was having a hard time managing his expenses, so their is nothing he could do other than slowly gaining power and wealth.

 On the other hand, the other slaves that came together with the kids started to help out on the field, they have now the strength to help the work. Just last knight he was able to accomplish the mission of preparing the bed for farming, giving him the 3 sacks of high yielding grains. This will be good to make them help out in planting since it was not tiring as tilting the land.

 Checking the growth period of this grains from the system, he will only need to wait for 1 and a half months. This is twice the speed of growth of grains than earth

 Also a new mission was issued by the system for him.

[ mission: Create a water path for irrigating the field ] [reward: High quality corn seed x 1 sack]

 Gaining another seed for agriculture, within two months they can start to trade their excess food supply in the nearby town. 

   He is also lack of people in his domain, he did not plan to let his people remain slaves forever since he wants to have them develop on their own. This is the reason why continuous buying of slaves is a must. 

    

   His first plan is to build a town, to make it true he need to make a dependent territory where trades could be conducted from within and a batch of normal citizen is needed. Giving chances to the slave to be a free people  will also help the town to grow. Thus, having more skilled person is also needed, since right now he has only one  craftsman.

 In addition this development, his cultivation level of knight was raised into Tier 3. This day of Eduard was full of good news for him.

 inside the Chris Family

 A woman was currently kneeling in front of a middle aged man. The middle aged man was in the age of 50's,  his looks resemble Darwin and Eduard faces. 

   This man is none other than their father, Darius.

 He was sitting at the chair at the middle inside the large hall. The look on his face was emotionless while facing the woman that kneeling in front.

 The woman started to speak, " Father, why did you sent away my brother to the border?", the woman asked. this woman was the sister of Eduard , Estrella.

 The Darwin only snorted and didn't feel offended to the tone of Estrella. " I sent Eduard there for his own good, since he has no talent to be a knight. He is also in the right age of 15, he should try to be independent, to have use in the family. Even though, the family was dissatisfied to him being a thrash, it is already a good grace that he was given 10 knights and a hundred sum of gold as his funds. His domain is also as large as a city, and given his title of a viscount as long as he have full control of his territory he can build another foothold for the family".

 The ears of Estrella cannot believe the words that she heard from her father. what the hell is the good grace, even he was given a large territory and titles it will only be for naught, her brother territory location is one of the dangerous place at the Kingdom. Many nobles build their mansion faraway from that place, even the Chris family did not use that land to develop their territory. Specially that the tension between the human and Beast man was still in the short end and anytime war could broke out on that place.

     As the assigned Lord from near the border her brother will have to face them first, if he did not defend it and choose to run awat, he will be charged by the kingdom for leaving the domain. 

   These circumstance may sentence him to be a prisoner or beheaded in front of the people of kingdom.

 Even though she was dissatisfied of the arrangement of her father, she didn't voice out it. " Father, I want to support my brother in developing his own domain on that border. Please let me go to him, I have nothing to comeback in the academy, I will only be stuck in 5th Tier Iron Magician forever. My magic veins are already damaged and I know that the family cannot spent more money to get the treasure for my recovery."

 Darius did not show any care to Estrella even be heard that her magic veins was damaged and only nodded to her, showing his approval to her request. 

    

    Estrella gave him a bow and turn back to leave the hall. Before she reach the door Darius say something to her.

 "Since you have chosen to join your younger brother, the family will now cut ties with the two of you. Before you leave the family, you can take a hundred gold coins and your own servant to be grought. The two of you can still use the name of Chris family but the family will not own you anymore.

 A stream tears suddenly fall down from the cheeks of Estrella.

    She was disappointed to her father.

     On the surface his gesture was for their own good but deep inside is to remove them from their family. There is no affection from his father and when she met an accident he immediately find a chance to dispose them, implicating also her younger brother.

 " I won't ever regret leaving this Household" she declared to herself.

 On the front of the hall, Steve was silently looking at the departing Estrella.

 He heard the weak murmured of Estrella after she left the hall, he had confirmed that she was really leaving the household.

 " Young master Darwin would be delighted by this news". Steve suddenly disappeared in his position like a ghost.

 Eduard was busy distributing the seeds on the slaves while giving instruction to the others of his irrigation plan to the farm when a part of his mission panel move.

[ Mission: Hunt a hundred Iron Level Beast 1/100 ]

 When the count of killed beast turned into one he was wondering of how it happened. 

    He look around his surrounding but theres no presence of the beast that he killed around.

 Thirty minutes later, Ernie came to him on the field. Hewas catching his breath after running on him on the field.

 "Young master, we have encountered a Horned Boar while patrolling within the East. The boar was killed by one of the Knights in the perimeter. what should we do in the corpse of the boar?". He hurriedly said with a hint of excitement in his voice.

Eduard did not think twice and said, "Okay, bring me to the location, I want to see the beast. Let's passed by in the mansion first to get some herbs, if ever that someone was hurt" Ernie nodded and immediately lead the way.
