If time could freeze for all eternity; what feelings would time transform into? Would these feelings of forever become the essence for a love that never changes? Or has the love changed to become eternal? For now, as he held her deep in his arms, one second would be enough. Satisfied for those brief seconds when she was in his arms, even when the thought of letting her go hurts him inside. The man stood tall as he embraced the woman in his arms; he squeezed her tight. She was much shorter than him, so her head reaches to his chest. He inhaled the sweet scent of her hair, and listened to her angelic voice when she asked, "Are you okay?" He realised, he can't live without her. Someone he thought he could never love, an unreachable artifact he would never own. The one person he thought, "It's better if I hate you." He remembered back to six months ago when he met her for the first time. It was Mid-April, and the sky was as bright and beautiful as it could be after the rain.
He bounced into his expensive looking car and left the park-aide. As he drove out, the road packed with ongoing traffic, he waited another three minutes before squeezing into the main street. During the three minutes he waited, he saw her again. This time she was helping an older lady as she pushed a cart of recycled bottles, trying to cross in front of him. The girl, up close looked so petite, yet she acts as if she can push the whole cart herself, not allowing the old lady to help her. Once they crossed over, the girl would smile and help the woman before leaving. Watching her somehow made his heart skip a beat. The corner of his lips curled up, and he surprised himself as he thought, "What the heck am I thinking?" He drove out as soon as he got his chance, sometimes he would look at his rear-mirror hoping to see a glance of her. The drive back to his office building wasn't long, he got off his car and his assistant, Tseng Kuan-Yin Went to the driver seat and drove the
Time quickly passed by before he realised it was already late. The staff left for home, one by one, while he remained in his chair, lost in his thoughts. A knocked on the door and his assistant, Tseng Kuan-Yin's head pop in. "Hey boss, if there's nothing else, I'll leave for the day, okay?" "Sure thing." He replied. He was a man with few words. But he was competent in his line of work. He had a lot of work as the president of a significant enterprise company. Although, his assistant helps out a lot, he did most of the work; Yang Tian-Xu needed to read over the documents and sign them. Once he could find a proper replacement for Manager Jiang, his workload would lessen, but for now he had to monitor the projects on the seventh floor. The plane disappearance was massive news in the country, but people's' lives must go on, with work seemingly endless, Yang Tian-Xu needed a break for a minute. He thought about how it could have been, if he was on that fligh
Cheung Lan-Er, known by many as Mrs Yang, she is in her late-40’s, however, she still looked young and had taken care of her beauty well. She asked him, “You remembered Yue-Yan right?” as she placed her hands on the girl’s shoulder. Mrs Yang smiled at the girl next to her as she continued, “Yue-Yan arrived from City A today, and drop by to give us a visit.” Tong Yue-Yan smiled at him and gave a slight nod as a greeting. He slightly nodded back at her and his mother caught his father by surprised as she blames her husband, “This is all your father’s fault! Yang Fei-Hung!” Mr Yang choked on the tea he took a sip of, coughing as he put the cup down on their expensive maple coffee table, he asked, “Why is it my fault?”“Yes, it’s your fault, you let my poor Tian-Xu work late every night! If you have been the President instead, our Tian-Xu would have opportunities to find himself a lovely girlfr
Yang Tian-Xu knew her mother’s intention was to have him spend more time with Tong Yue-Yan. Even though he finds it a little annoying, he stills obey his mother’s commands. His mother hope their relationships could improve into something more than just friends.“Yes, mother.” He replied, thinking of how short it would be to take her home, he couldn’t careless about it if it makes his mother happy.“Oh no, it’s okay, President Yang just got home. I wouldn’t want to bother him so much. I have my driver waiting outside.”“Oh please, both of you should stop being so polite to each other, Tian-Xu is only three years older than you. You can call him by his first name.” Then she turned to look at her son, “You too Tian-Xu, stop being so polite and treat each other friendlier.”“Yes, mother.” Tian-Xu obediently replied. “Yue-Yan, shall I see you to your car then?”&
He dresses up like he would for work, just like he would attend a business meeting. Proper, in a blue suit that matches his body and skin tone. It was already 9:15 a.m when he left home. His parents were more excited than he was, they reminded him to be sure to treat her for brunch and so on. Yang Tian-Xu was always obedient, even though he feels like this was more of a business than it was a romantic relationship, he still shows up on time at 9:55 a.m.The Tong Family has a small villa in City Y. Their villa has a beautiful garden, in which Tong Yue-Yan's aunt had maintained. She took care of the businesses the Tong family has in City Y while her brother; Tong Yue-Yan’s father would take care of activities in City A.By the time he rang the doorbell, she was ready. He said his greetings to Tong Yue-Yan’s aunt when she opened the door to greet him. As he waited by his front door, by 10:00 a.m. sharp, she ascended down from the stairs and saw him by the do
Chapter 3: Where are you? Part 1With his cold attitude towards her—Yang Tian-Xu's mother had already warned her last night, telling her how he could be such a workaholic. The thoughts of his seriousness made her felt like he would become a great husband. She remained by his side without saying another word: she was in his presence silently watching him. Unaware he was thinking about another. Tong Yue-Yan thought perhaps she had taken a step closer to Yang Tian-Xu's heart. Enjoying the silence surrounding with him, being as patient as she could. "Do you want another cup of coffee?" Tong Yue-Yan asked him politely. At 1:30 p.m., they were sitting around for over an hour. Yang Tian-Xu had finally turned to look at her and said, "Sorry, I must bore you. Would you like to go?" "Oh, it's okay, we can stay if you like!" Nervous, not wanted him to think she was bored. "Are you—" Then her stomach growls a little. She had not eaten breakfast because she spe
Chapter 3: Where are you? Part 2Assistant Tseng text back, "Everything is doing great, boss. No need to worry, I can handle it, and I will keep you updated." Yang Tian-Xu never worried about his assistant's work, he knew the guy was competent. It's just that he felt a little bored. How long does it take someone to finish a salad? As Tong Yue-Yan took her sweet time with her meal, Yang Tian-Xu didn't bother to rush her, he sat there quietly as he reads over the latest news in the business industry. Occasionally, he would pretend like he was having lunch with her, and let out a small gentle smile. He wondered about the girl again. Where are you? If only you were here.A bright, beautiful Friday afternoon, the girl, with long shiny light-black hair, with light-brown eyes almost as if they were hazel. She appeared at Yang Corps' front entrance. With her name displayed on the visitor tag as Wang Yi-An. Comparing her and Tong Yue-Yan, she wasn't as pretty. However, she wa
“I have never agreed to that. Also,” he breathe out while he button the last button on his shirt before he said. “I can’t just tell my mother that we changed our minds and not get marry just because you’re in love with Yang Tian-Xu.”“I… can’t love him anymore…” Wang Yi-An faced away, because she doesn’t want him to see her sad face, but Liu Shun-Feng sees right through her.“A fight already?” He asked, but she shook her head. He stopped her when he said, “Don’t try to lie to me, Yi-An.” Staring at her, he knew what she wanted to say. He doesn’t need her to lie to him, nor does he want her to lie to him. “I heard you calling his name last night. It wasn’t just once. But a lot of times.”“I…” Wang Yi-An wanted to say something, but she doesn’t know what to say. She stared away from his eyes. Looking at nothing, as her mind became filled with confusion. Then Liu Shun-Feng came over and sat closer to her. He sat very close, close enough to have almost sat on her, but he didn’t. He looked
doesn’t? Walking into the bathroom with a pair of dried clothing. He had been busy taking care of Wang Yi-An since they got to the hotel. And he was still wet himself. He might not have been in the rain as long as Wang Yi-An has, but he was still damped by the rain.Heading into the shower after he had removed all of his clothing. He continued to curse and slam his fist on the shower wall. After the shower, he walked out feeling fresh. He walked into the bedroom and Wang Yi-An was still out of it. Still trying to recover from the fever she had, which had gone down thanks to the medicine.Feeling her forehead with the back of his hand. He smiled because her temperature had cooled down quite a bit, still hot. But not as hot as it was before. He wore a bathrobe as he got out of the shower; he was still wet and tried to dry himself first before he change, but he was just damn tired, so he was still wearing the bathrobe, naked underneath as he climbed into the bed with her laying next to h
Outside in the pouring rain, Liu Shun-Feng was on his way to Wang Yi-An’s house. He was supposed to meet with Mother Wang and his mother at the Wang’s Residence after he finished one of his endorsements gig.Pan Rong and Mother Wang had their plans, and they wanted to properly talked about Wang Yi-An’s engagement to Liu Shun-Feng. Pan Rong wasn’t happy with Liu Shun-Feng as his future son-in-law, and he wanted to talk with him personally. As a father, no one is good enough for his daughter.Just as Liu Shun-Feng was pulling his sport car into the parking lot, he saw Wang Yi-An rushing outside in the pouring rain. He couldn’t help himself, and he followed her. Watching her sitting down outside in the cold, in the middle of the street. He came over and covered her with his dark navy blue umbrella. Being soaked in the rain, Wang Yi-An fallen ill. Just as she loses her consciousness, he dropped his umbrella to the ground to support her. Holding her upright just in time before she hit her
He laughs as he said, “No one is making your mother cry. Your mother is shedding tears of joy.” He said as he smiled at her. “Your mother and I are going to get married, Yi-An. We can finally be a family together.”Pan Rong, the father that she hated. She hasn’t always hated him before. There were times when he had loved her, spoils her, and cared for her like any father would. His precious daughter. But since Yi-Xiu had disappeared, she hated him ever since. Wang Yi-An told herself that she no longer has a father, because if it weren’t for him. Sending her brother to study aboard, he wouldn’t need to take that flight. And if he hadn’t taken that flight, he wouldn’t have disappeared. Wang Yi-An hated him for that, and she could never forgive him for separating her family.Call her the girl with father issues, but she doesn’t need a father that only knows how to make her mother cry. Wang Yi-An had tried her best to live a life without her father. She tried to return home and forget abo
Under the love and care of Cheung Yun-Er, the twins had completed her in a way that she had always felt was missing. Holding the twins in her arms, Cheung Yun-Er was happy. She cared and love them like they were her own children. But two months later, the babies became sick, feverish because they were growing their first tooth. The doctor had mentioned something about how important it was for the mother to be around the babies when they grow their first tooth grown. Thus, Pan Rong had to seek out to Mother Wang and told her to become the babies’ wet nurse. Mother Wang was happy to be with her children again. She didn’t ask questions or needed anything else. Mother Wang moved into the Pan Manor to take care of her children.Wang Yi-An and her brother were about two years old at the time. Of course, Cheung Yun-Er wasn’t happy when Mother Wang had moved into the Pan Manor to take care of the twins. Even though legally, all the paperworks have been redone with Cheung Yun-Er as the twins’ l
Like a storm in her heart, the sky began to cry out the tears of the heavens. Rain. Dripping on her face as it continues to drip all over her body. Soaking her clothing. Her hair was wet. She doesn’t have an umbrella on her, nor does she need one. She deserved to be out in the cold rain. For all that she had done to Yang Tian-Xu. All the hurt she had caused him. She felt like she deserved to be soaked out in the cold rain that became heavier as the time goes by. She wanted the rain to continue, pouring harder and harder down onto her. Make her sick, freeze her to death, whatever… because she doesn’t deserve to be healthy. She doesn’t deserve to live with such guilt in her heart. She thought it would have been better if she didn’t exist.Walking home, wandering the street. She knew she needed to come back home. Late in the night, her mother might worry about her. All she wanted now was to just come back home. Crawl into her brother’s bed, continued to cry, and ask her brother. “Did I do
Why…? Is God this cruel to me? He thought. For all those times, he had imagined how perfect their first kiss would be. He dreamt of how he would lean in to kiss her, in the most romantic setting as possible.Under a beautiful setting, when he could tell her how much he loves her, and she would say the same. As he leans in closer to her lips, the sunlight would cover their entire body, and from afar it would look as if their silhouette merges into one.Yet, here they are. In a dark church after hours, where the only lightnings were those lit up candles of people’s hopes and dreams. Some candles were already long gone, while only a few remains. Still burning as they continued to flicker in the darkness.Even though her lips tasted like her tears, salty. He couldn’t help it, as he continued the kiss. The longer it held out, the more passionate the kiss became. He held her tighter as he sucks on to her bottom lips. Rolling his tongue against hers.Wang Yi-An didn’t push him out, nor did sh
Here… At this very spot. A soft, subtle tear had dripped from the corn of her eye; all the way down to her lips. One tear lead to many others, and she could taste those fallen tears. That salty, painful hurt that she had caused him. If she could light a million candles, just for him to forget all about her and be happy again. She would…“If you didn’t love me… Why are there tears in your eyes?” He asked. She was shocked to have heard his voice just behind her as she turned around. From behind her, he could see her sadness and knew she was crying without a sound. Standing there, only three feet apart from her.He didn’t follow her here, and when she left City Hall, he had begun to search for her everywhere, but she was no longer in his sight. He had wandered off in the opposite direction from her. Perhaps it was fate. Fate had made him wandered to this church, where he had remembered the promise she had with him. Bringing him back here to this place again, like it was fate. Just like th
“I had lied to you. Before… But now… I can’t lie to you anymore.” She had her back turn on him, and without looking at his face, she said all those hurtful words to him.But he would rather not hear the truth. He would rather if she kept lying to him and continued to deceive him. “Why? Why don’t you just keep lying to me?”“Because… You’re too kind, Tian-Xu.” She turned around to look at him. He knew she was trying her best to control her emotions, without shading another tear. As she wanted to break his heart completely. “And your kindness will only get you hurt, and I just proved it.”Taking off her necklace, she took his hand and dropped the necklace in his hand. Handing over to him wasn’t just a simple heart-shape locket, but his love for her. Like she had ripped his heart out and gave him back his heart. “Good bye…”A heart-shape necklace, the one he had purchased for her with the thoughts of being able to marry her in the future. Inside of it, he had already placed a wedding ring
