As usual, I went to check on Marcus's wound in the morning and returned to the duty room in the afternoon to monitor the support schedule for Elias's field hospital conveniently. I waited four days and saw the shipping symbol on the red board. The medicine batch and selected doctors will depart at seven o'clock in the evening. It was a good time because Marcus wouldn't suspect me; he would question me if I didn't come to his hospital room in the afternoon.

"I think I'm fine, right?" Marcus tried lifting his hand, curling his lips in amusement. "My recovery isn't bad; I think I can run now."

I smiled, not denying it. "Yes, your recovery speed is amazing; it surprised me. But even so, you can't run, dear Beta."

Marcus burst into laughter. "I was just joking." Then he looked at me with searching eyes. "Perhaps you know about the battlefield medicine supply schedule?"

I felt a little guilty thinking about my plan, but I couldn't let Marcus see that, and telling the truth was the best way.
