My phone rang disturbing me from my glorious dream. I groaned annoyed at the caller for disturbing my beauty sleep. But the caller was so persistent my phone wouldn’t be quiet. I sat up feeling so annoyed, without checking the caller ID i answered. “What?” “Woah slow down girl, how are you” “Mom i was just about to marry bruce wayne, couldn’t you call later.” My mother laughed and i sighed , feeling so sad i never got to marry the son of gotham. “I’m sorry baby but me and your father didn’t come home yesterday, i just wanted to make sure that you’re awake” I looked at my clock on the wall and screamed in my pillow. It’s 8am. “Thanks for waking me mom, are you guys coming home today?” “Yeah love, we will be home when you get back from school” “If that’s the case, please pick me up i injured my leg yesterday, i really don’t feel like walking” “Are you okay? Is it bad?” “Relax mom it’s fine, just a scratch. I’m going to get ready for school now. Love you” “Love you to baby, see you later” I hung up and threw my head back on my pillow while staring at my ceiling. “Please god let it be a good day today” I got up from bed and started cleaning my room fyi i’m a neat freak, and no i don’t have ocd i just can’t stand being surrounded by dirt. Once i was done i walked into my en-suite bathroom and brushed my teeth. I slept really early yesterday but i still feel so tired. Once i was done brushing my teeth. I washed and exfoliated my face. I stripped and jumped into the shower. The cold water that hit me immediately woke me up, i jumped around in the shower trying to escape the cold water. The water started warming up and i finally relaxed. It was definitely soothing, i washed my hair and washed my body, once i was done i climbed out the shower and started drying myself with my fluffy towel. I wrapped it around my body and went to my mirror. “Where is my hair dryer for Pete’s sake” Finally i found my hair dryer in my wardrobe i started blow drying my hair. Once i successfully accomplished that task i put on my body butter and deodorant. I walked out the bathroom and started checking in my wardrobe for something to wear whilst singing to myself. I was indecisive. I had so much clothes but i only wore my favourite’s “granny clothes” as some girls would say. I sighed maybe i should wear something different today, hopefully Kai and Lexi would leave me alone. I took out a light blue denim jeans and a white tank top. When i was fully dressed i decided to wear white sneakers (van’s) it was the only closed shoe i’ll feel comfortable wearing for school with this outfit. I packed my books in my bag. I was doing homework yesterday and i fell asleep but thank goodness i was done. I put my bag over my shoulder and made my way downstairs the house was awfully quiet cause my parents weren’t home. I made myself some cereal and took my vitamins, i packed some energy bars in my bag and started making my way to school when i was done locking the door and activating the alarm on my cellphone. I put my earphones in and began my morning walk. I honestly prefer to walk in the morning. The afternoon’s is to chaotic for me. I walked slow cause i still had 20 minutes to spare. I was minding my business and enjoying the earthy morning fresh air. When i finally arrived at school i couldn’t understand why people were looking at me. Is it my outfit or is something wrong with my face and then it hit me. I forgot to do my hair. Wow just wow i need to get to a bathroom before people start making me a laughing matter again. When i walked through the hallway all eyes were on me and honestly i did not like the attention. I ignored everyone’s stares and walked into the girls bathroom heading straight for the mirrors. Nothing was wrong with my hair it’s not wild or all over the place. It’s wavy but neat. I checked in my bag for a hair tie but gave up when i heard the main door to the bathroom open, i quickly ran to one of the unoccupied stalls and shut the door. “Omg did you guys see Tara today?” “Yeah i saw her, surprisingly she was looking really good today” “ Girl, her hair! I don’t understand why she would make that silly bun all these years hiding such beautiful hair” “Why do you think she changed her granny clothes today?” “Maybe because Kai humiliated her yesterday” “What if she’s still obsessed with Kai, and she’s trying to lure him in” “Let’s be honest girls, Kai would never want a girl like her. She’s pathetic! Honestly at this point i heard enough, i opened the bathroom stall and all their heads turned in my direction, surprise taking over their features. “First of all let’s get something straight, i am not obsessed with Kai Watson and i am not trying to lure him in anyway . I did not dress like this because i was humiliated or looking for other people’s opinion or validation for that matter, i did it for me. Instead of discussing my life in a public bathroom come approach me and ask for the facts, which i do not owe any of you. I left them with their mouths agape yeah i’m just as surprised as you guys, i don’t know where that came from. I left the bathroom and headed straight for my locker. My first subject today is maths, i left my bag in my locker and took out my maths books and pens, i locked it and turned around but i was greeted by a very angry looking Lexi. It just doesn’t make sense to me. “What are you talking about Lexi” “Don’t play dumb with me, i know he gave you a ride home yesterday one of my friends saw you jump out his car” “I don’t know what you’re talking about Lexi, why would Kai drive me home when he hate’s my guts” She looked at me like she was trying to see through me and i stared right back at her. “Just remember my words” She attempted to walk away but stopped in her tracks when i spoke. “Kai should leave me alone. How am i going to stay away from someone who doesn’t want to stay away from me” She gave me a glare before walking away like she was angry. If she can keep Kai away from me i can finally have peace with no more drama. I don’t understand why she would come to me now, asking such a thing as if i can make that possible. She’s watching Kai torment me for years while standing idly beside him and cheering him on. She’s probably the only one who can make him leave me alone but i think she enjoys seeing me in pain. I walked to class pushing those thoughts aside and entered my first class for today. Everyone was awfully silent today, i didn’t know if i should be concerned or happy! I started making my way to my desk. “Excuse me who are you” The whole class burst out laughing I turned to Mrs Smith with a “are you serious look” because she’s definitely joking right now. “It’s Tara, Mrs Smith” one of the boys in the back answered “Oh goodness, sorry i didn’t recognise you with your hair down dear, take your seat” “Thank you miss” I sat down and Mrs Smith began speaking whilst writing on the board… Class continued with me solving maths problems in my book and when the bell rang indicating it’s the next period i was grateful. I packed up my books and left the class, making my way to my locker. I checked my next subject and sighed. I have literature and Kai will be in that class. I slammed my locker shut and made my way to my next class. There was already so much noise coming from the class and i’m certain Kai has something to do with it, he thinks he owns this school, just because his family donates to the school foundation. I walked in without even bothering to look around, i just went straight to my usual desk and took my seat. Mr Isaac teaches literature and history. He looked very annoyed today probably because the students don’t pay attention in his classes. I could feel an intense gaze on me but i didn’t dare to look at the direction it’s coming from. I opened my book and started working, but that feeling didn’t go away, i was definitely being watched. Mr Isaac’s voice echoed in the classroom. “Winston Smith is the protagonist of which George Orwell novel?” I raised my hand. “Yes Miss Jenkins” “1984” “Very, very good Miss Jenkins, that is correct can you tell me what genre of book does Danielle Steel primarily write?” “Romance” “Excellent! What do George Eliot, George Sand and Acton Bell all have in common?” “They are male pseudonyms used by female authors” “I am truly impressed, at least one person takes my classes seriously” I smiled and he went back to the chalk board writing whilst explaining. That feeling of being watched was much stronger now and this time i looked in that direction immediately locking eyes with Kai. I quickly looked away and cleared my throat why is he looking at me? His probably thinking of ways to tyrannise me. I looked back again and he was smirking at me. It’s going to be a long day!!!
