JEREMIAH

I walk towards my chambers, looking forward to wrapping my arms and then my body around my pet. She is getting so much better. I don't like that Norman attacked her but the nightmares it has given her allow me to hold her close and after the other morning when she told me that she loved me, I can tell that she is close to accepting me and allowing me to claim her fully as mine.

I stop in front of my door and as I reach for the handle; I look up and see Finn walking toward me with an angry and serious face. I sigh, turn and face him as I say,

“What’s happened?”

“We need to talk... But not here.”

I nod and turn back the way I came, Finn falling into step next to me. I can feel the anger coming off of him. I wonder what has him so worked up. I then wonder if the deal he had been working on and had finally finalized for the company had maybe fallen through again.
