Caleb jerked up from a terrifying nightmare and found himself on the damp forest ground. He looked around groggily trying to remember why he was in a charred part of the forest. Emily woke up bright, and early the next day. As she showered and got dressed for the day she noticed that she was still burning with excitement from the night before. She'd paused severally to ask herself why. She couldn't tell if it was the presence of the Gem or if she was excited because she was going to spend her day with Andrew.
