CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND THREE

"Why weren't you picking up your calls?" Mendez asked,

With a phone tightly pressed to his ears, Caleb snorted,

"I've been busy, Mendez." He bit out, "there's so many things I have to prepare for."

"How's Nicole doing? He didn't let me speak to her today. He also threatened me."

Caleb's heart missed a beat and his wolf gave an annoyed snarl. It made him wonder if the oath had begun to function.

"I have no idea. I haven't seen her, the same goes for my sources."

Mendez gasped, then growled,

"I hope for his sake, that he hasn't harmed the hair on My daughter's head."

Caleb's wolf agreed, promising to deal with Douglas if he did, but the human laughed snidely.

"You cannot do anything to him. If you could, you would have done it earlier, Mendez. So I suggest you stop yapping and making empty threats and stall Andrew's return, so I can rescue her from his clutches."

Mendez growled,

"Your father thinks otherwise, besides, you cannot rescue her, Caleb. If you could, you would have done so
