Over the next few days, Xander ignored my existence.

He busied himself with Grace’s birthday party and worked for a long time on it. He got a famous band through his connections to play on her birthday and even hired the singer she liked. He spent tons of money on the birthday party just so that he could make her smile.

Ironically, the money he used was all stolen from me.

When he married me, his gaming company was on the verge of going bankrupt. I helped him and gave up everything I owned for him. I even sold my parents’ house.

Once he had money, he started managing his company with no worries in mind any longer. His company came back from the red, and after they launched their game, it quickly became popular and became the talk of the internet.

He became a nouveau riche of the business world to whom plenty of people wanted to work with, and I was sincerely happy for him.

But all the help I gave him turned into knives that stabbed into me.
