"Come not within the measure of my wrath."
-William Shakespear-
***
"You idiots, how could you let this happen!?" his rage was untamed when he finished reading the letter. He threw the piece of paper to the fireplace where it was devoured within seconds. Each guards on shift that night was summoned to his office.
They were shivering as cold air ran through their bare neck. They have been ordered to strip their clothes off and left with nothing but their underwear as they stood in the room further away from the source of heat.
The only person in the room beside them was one of the maid who stayed quietly on the back of the room, trying to not get involved in her master's wrath.
None of them dared to reply, each of them were staring at Dimitri wishfully, as if they were encouraging him to speak up and explain everything on their behalf, because they could not. Only Dimitri had a higher chance on standing up for them, for Vincent had placed a bit of favor upon him.
Although deep down they knew it was all useless, because Vincent had been to blinded by his rage and the only person who could calm him down is his lady and at the moment the lady was a runaway, meaning they would have to bear everything by themselves.
Such was the lives of puppets.
"We have done our best, it's just, she outsmarted all of us. We're deeply sorry, and we will continue searching for her." he stated firmly, though he was not expecting trouble with this man, he was not going to blame all the guilt on the guards as well. Yet apparently, his answer was not satisfactory enough for him.
"Are you telling me that a nineteen years old girl could deceive twenty highly trained guards, is that what you are telling me? I swear my father hired all of you for nothing, you bunch of idiots!" he slammed the table, inflicting fear upon the large grown men, except for Dimitri, who by then was already used to his hot temper.
Of course, none of the previous matters were enough to make him that furious, but somebody must stand firm on the ground while the rest were trembling.
Vincent was not exactly a large man himself, he stood at 6'0" tall with a lean muscular figure, his clean shaved chiseled face resembled a mature version of James Dean, the famous actor from the fifties. He did possess an air of intimidation and dominance which was enhanced by his family's wealth and power.
As the only son and heir of The Russet Empire, he was not someone to be taken lightly, though most of his power did come from his father, the late Wilhelm Russet, he did possess the ability to expand the family's fortune, something most people did not expect from him.
He was far from a spoilt child, but he did have quite the temper, and he was someone who would do anything to get what he wanted, including her.
He took a long heavy sigh as he tapped his Mont Blanc pen on the table, as if thinking of something which might temporary relieve him from the matter, only to find nothing. Pissed and bothered, he threw the pen toward one of the guard, stabbing him right on the lips, the wounded skin released blood to the wooden floor, but the sight only annoyed him further.
He quickly ordered the guard to lick his own blood from the ground and get lost from his sight. Everyone could only watch as the man humiliated himself for the sake of keeping his job, he looked like he was about to burst but ended up giving in to the order and bowed before leaving the room.
Dimitri had never seen him as furious as he was when he heard the news of her escape. He had no idea what was running through his mind, or maybe he knew perfectly what he was thinking. It just frightened him so much he preferred to pretend he did not.
Vincent pulled out a piece of cigarette, placing the end at the burning fireplace before placing it in between his lips. The nicotine seemed to relax him a bit, but his stare remained stone cold as he gave out another order.
"I don't care how, you must find her, before I destroy each and every one of you!" he commanded. The men could only nod as he dismissed them, including the maid. They stepped out of the room one by one, Dimitri was last to leave but before he could leave, Vincent called his name, freezing him in his place.
"Close the door." he ordered. Dimitri could feel a clench in his gut, something terrible was about to be done to him, but he did as told while maintaining a straight face as he walked toward him.
Vincent rose from his seat, taking slow steps toward him, stopping right beside the man who was two inches taller than him. He placed his palm on his shoulder while tilting his head gently toward his direction.
The tension was thick in the air.
"I did not place you beside her for nothing. You know that, don't you?" his voice was low and dangerous. He was silent, unable to answer the question. Then before he could say anything, a punch landed on his lower stomach ever so swiftly, stumbling him back with full force where he nearly fell straight on his butt.
"Find her, if you don't, you and the twenty guards will pay the price! Now get lost!" Dimitri was holding on to his stomach as he nodded his head and left. Once he was out of the room, he tried to stand up while holding back the aching in his gut. As he walked back to his room, his mind wandered to her beautiful face.
He should have known since the beginning.
That girl was trouble.
"Being a hero doesn't mean you're invincible, it just means that you're brave enough to stand up and do what's needed." -Rick Riodan- *** Warm puff of breath gathered in the air as he exhaled his first breath in Moscow. The first thing he saw as soon as he left the airport was the vast amount of snow gathered on the side of the road. People around him were mostly wearing fur coats or a thick layer of winter coat. He wondered why he thought visiting the place in winter was a great idea. Yet there he was, dragging his luggage to find the nearest taxi. Damian had a high expectation for the next week. He did not know what made him decide to visit the city after all these years, he had never been a fan of the colder weather and always preferred to stay in the warm. Perhaps it was due to his change of perspective toward the world, after hitting his 30's, he had tried to be more open toward the poss

Life is beautiful because of the people we meet."-Simon Sinek-***What had just happened?Damian was speechless, he had never seen a lady looking like her did something like that before. He had to admit it got his heartbeat pacened up a bit when he saw her badass fighting style. There was a strange chemical reaction in his stomach, one he did not quite comprehend just yet."What a bunch of animals!" she cursed as she hit his neck. Unlike Damian who tried to avoid the vital spots, she did not even hesitate or flinch when she smashed their face to the ground. The woman was pissed, her eyes w
"Good manners do more for a man than good looks." -E.W. Howe- *** Damian was seated in a study chair in the living room writing down some notes of his activities for the next day. Everything was planned. We would spend his entire day exploring the Red Square, just to see if it was really as fascinating as people claimed it to be, everything was listed in a rough outline but he had a pretty good picture of what his day would be. After that, he went to the kitchen to make some dinner. The menu for the day was steamed vegetables with boiled chicken with a little bit of chili sauce. Not the most flavorful dish, but most importantly, it was healthy. He had been paying a lot of attention to his health since he realized he was not very young anymore, at least he thought he was not.

Scarlett was putting some icing on the rest of cupcakes in the kitchen when her eldest daughter decided to sneaked her way in, making an attempt to steal another cupcake from the counter. Of course, Scarlett could tell without looking since she had developed sharper senses since giving birth. When she turned her body around to place the tray on the counter, the little girl looked up at her mother with a pout on her face, her big hazel eyes gleamed in anger when her tiny arms retreated in defeat. In her toddler mind, she thought her mother was being unfair, why did her brother get to have it when she could not? Yes, Scarlett had given her one earlier, but one was not enough. The cupcake was so tiny she was able to finish it in four
"Romantic love is mental illness. But it's a pleasurable one. It's a drug. It distorts reality and that's the point of it. It would be impossible to fall in love with someone that you really saw." -Fran Lebowitz- *** "Good morning, are you ready to go out?" Damian woke up to the knocking sound from his door, while he had set his alarm to eight, at exactly 7A.M Lana was already disturbing him with her early chirp. He was still dressed in his black t-shirt and shorts when she was already all dressed up in a complete winter outerwear. It was typical in Russia during winter to wear layers upon layers of outfit to ensure maximum warmth during the extreme cold, so he could only imagine how long it took for her to get dressed, which meant she had woken up so early in the morning. He had not e
"Caring, about people, about things, about life is an act of maturity." -Tracy McMillan- *** That morning Damian woke up with a throbbing head, his body was shaking, freezing, he was feeling unwell for some reason without any idea why. The night before he was completely fine, though he was having more fatigue than usual, but he did not feel any symptoms of illness. Yes, he did remove his winter hat yesterday a few times because they were scratching his head, but he never thought the cold he felt for only a few minutes could make such an impact on his body. As he slowly tried to open his eyes, he took a seat on the edge of his bed and felt his body burning up, he touched his forehead and found his temperature rising. His nose was slightly clogged and his throat was dry.
"Never love for me, only obsession."-Carrie Fisher-***"Oh, god, yes..." The moaning escaped her lips as he rode her like a cowboy. The dimly lighted room casted shadow upon part of their sweaty bodies as the raven haired woman clenched her fist on the sheet like her life depended on it. He was not holding himself back either, he had both of his hands on her breast as a support. Both were in tremendous pleasure when there was suddenly a knock on the door."Fuck, I have told them not to disturb me." He groaned as he pulled himself out from her."Who dared to disturb me?" He shouted. From the other side of the room, Dimitri was standing with his phone. He knew exactly what his boss was doing inside. Vincent had hired another high class prostitute to please him like he always did every single week. This time he had a low class model as his companion and they had been fuckin

They were passing by the ice skating rink, silently watching as people skated around with nothing but smiles and giggles on their face. The sky was getting slightly dark and they knew that soon they would have to go back."Yes, work will start soon." He replied briefly. She had gotten used to his cold attitude, which she found was mostly due to his introverted nature. Lana did not mind it at all, in fact she thought it was quite charismatic in a different directionThe two had spent so much time together
"Maybe it's a fairy tale, but I believe in happily ever after."-Jennifer Aniston-***A lot of things happened to Damian and Lana throughout the year. After the proposal was over, the two of them quickly set up their dreams together with the resources they had in hand at the moment. They had bought a comfortable penthouse in New York near their newly established company office. Lana remained true to her words and used the money she inherited to invest in the company with Damian as the CEO and her being the board member director. She would be watching everything while advising Damian in every move he made. Basically it belonged to both of them by title, but Lana was the one controlling everything.Yes, she thought in the tech industry it would be better and much comfortable for her to use Damian as the front face of the company while she became the mastermind. It was not that she was incapable of handling the company herse

The woman was definitely not an ordinary woman since she had this strong presence of mystique on her. Her eyes were pitch black, almost as if they were tattooed and she had a futuristic, almost robotic impression. Lana was not sure what kind of business she had with her. However, she could already tell the woman was not welcomed into her life. The woman did come alone which was sort of a relief because she was not in the mood to fight anyone. There was no threat and no signs of attack coming from her. Still, Lana was not going to let her guard down, experience had taught her to never do so in front of strangers.“Who are you and how do you know my name?” She questioned,
"Love the giver more than the gift."-Brigham Young-***“Yes, of course I’ll marry you.” Lana chuckled as she accepted his proposal. Her heart was beating like crazy. She had never felt such strong joy in her life before. Perhaps it was because her life was mostly filled with crazy events concerning her family background, but for the first time in her life she felt so giddy and happy like a little girl. Damian too was relieved and he could not stop smiling as he gently inserted the ring on her ring finger. As he had expected, the ring fits her perfectly. She had shown him her ring collection before and he had secretly measured them. Could not help it, he had planned on marrying her since they returned back from Vincent’s old manor. Almost losing her was what made him realize he could not bear the thought of losing her. He thought the only way to secure her for himself forever was by making sure she became

Beside that, She thought it was adorable so she kept it on."Make sure you keep on holding my hands, I want people to see that you are mine." He stated casually as he held her hand tightly.Lana was not sure why he was acting a bit more protective of
"You will never find a woman without ready answer."-William Shakespeare-***Damian felt like an absolute fool. He could not believe himself since he was not able to properly meet up with Lana just because he was still thinking about what her reaction might be. He knew both of them were not teenagers and they had been through a lot together but there was a part of him that was still afraid if Lana took his gifts the wrong way and ended up feeling even more upset than before.Usually he would come and visit her everyday ever since Dimitri was murdered however he had not visited her in the past two days since he received all the items he needed to give her because of his own personal fear. Truly, Damian felt like he was acting like his old self who was too unbothered to approach a woman. He knew he could not continue acting that way because Lana might get the wrong perception of him, although the two of them had been commun

Who would have thought fate would eventually led her there? It was truly a miracle. After Vincent’s death which made her stomach turned, she thought her future was hopeless, after all it was Vincent who had provided everything for her these entire time, but then she spent a few days contemplating about it and realized that his death was far from being a curse and ending of her life. "God prunes us when He is about to take us into new season of growth and expansion."-Christine Caine-***Lana woke up that day feeling a bit more refreshed than usual, she had cried so much these past few days that she ended up being unable to cry any longer. She had also been taking a break from work and spent most of her time sleeping as she tried to forget what had been happening and the day finally came when she could cope with reality and felt slightly better. She felt like she was starting to recover from the trauma. It had been exactly a week since it happened and although it might be a brief amount of time, for her it had been the longest week. She decided she no longer wanted to feel like useless crap, so she did a bit of meditation that morning and some light exercises as she got her body used to the movement again.Afterward she showered and made a light breakfast, the past week she had been eating pretty unhealthy b
